Ashley's group that now had her mom and Professor Oak (they came to watch her) were watching her train until she sensed two Legendary Pokemon coming in her direction. She was met by the sight of the Eon Twins Latias and Latios. 'Aura Goddess it is an honor to finally meet you.' Latios greeted.  "Likewise. Where did you two come from?" Ashley asked.  'Alto Mare in the Johto Region.' Latias replied.  'We sought to join you your highness.' Latios explained.  

'That is if that's okay.' Latias said.  "If that's what you want then welcome to my family." Ashley said as she raised two Pokeballs. The Eon Twins tapped them and were immediately captured before Ashley let them back out. "I was just training my Pokemon for the Lilly of the Valley Conference. My next opponent is a man named Tobias. I don't know anything about him other than he has a Darkrai and nobody has ever beaten it...at least not until now." She explained with confidence.  

'Your highness allow me to fight this Darkrai. We'll see who truly is the strongest.' Darkrai assured.  "I was planning on using you anyways." Ashley assured causing Darkrai to smirk. Ashley turned back towards the Eon Twins. "Latios you can compete too. We're going to have to train hard before we fight Tobias though." She promised. Suddenly three more Pokemon approached Ashley...these being the Shiny Legendary Dogs.  'Got room for three more your highness?' Raikou asked.  "Of course." Ashley replied holding out three more Pokeballs to which the Legendary Dogs tapped and were immediately caught.

  "Five Legendary Pokemon under five minutes. I'd think that's a new record." Paul commented as Ashley let the trio back out.

  "Lucario give them the lowdown." Ashley said as she went to train herself.  'Okay guys here's what's happening, Ashley is at the end of her Sinnoh journey, all she needs is to beat this guy who's confirmed to have a Legendary Pokemon...and nobody has ever beaten his first Pokemon which is in fact a Darkrai. Ashley will be pitting her Darkrai against his. Train hard but don't push yourselves too hard, Ashley doesn't want you guys to hurt yourselves to make her happy.' Lucario explained.

  'We've pushed ourselves past our limits before. Yeah we hurt ourselves trying but hey, no pain no gain.' Entei commented. 

 'That's not how Ashley thinks. Yes she wants to see you reach your fullest potential but she won't risk your health and saftey for satisfaction.' Lucario said.

  'Trust us Lucario we'll fight tooth and claw for the Aura Goddess...even if we end up hurting ourselves.' Suicune assured before walking off with her brothers.

  'Tch...stubborn mutts.' Lucario thought before going to train with Darkrai. 

After training Ashley found herself facing Tobias in the stadium. Tobias standing calmly with his eyes closed and Ashley was levitating meditating with six Pokeballs circling her head.  "And now Ladies and Gentlemen the moment you've all been waiting for. The Aura Goddess Ashley Ketchum versus Tobias whom has never lost his first Pokemon Darkrai but Ashley is also known to have Legendary Pokemon. Let's see who will win!" The MC announced as the crowed cheered for either side.  

"My first Pokemon will be Darkrai." Tobias said as he released his Pokemon onto the field.

  "I will also call out my Darkrai." Ashley said as she released her Darkrai ont the field.  Up in the stands someone decided to join Ashley' group. "What did I miss?" The newcomer asked.  

"Steven! Come sit. You're just about to witness a fight between two Darkrai." Wallace explained as Steven sat with him.  "Interesting." Steven simply stated.  "All bets on Ashley!" James exclaimed as he, Meowth, and Lysandre started collecting bets.  "So now Lysandre is playing their game? Tch...idiot." Giovanni thought.  "So is this going to be a battle of who is the better Legend?" Tobias asked. "Very well. You should have the honors." He said.  

"Darkrai Shadow Claw!" Both Ashley and Tobias ordered simultaneously. Both Darkrai rushed each other but Ashley's Darkrai vanished into the shadows and sneak attacked Tobias' Darkrai from behind followed by Dark Pulse. He then vanished again and uppercut from the shadows before vanishing again.  "All Ashley seems to be doing is playing hit-and-run. She's toying with him. Just hope he doesn't catch on." Cyrus thought.  Back on the field Tobias' Darkrai was having issues trying to find Ashley's Darkrai until he got another Shadow Claw from behind only to be caught by the opposing Darkrai surprising Ashley's Darkrai. Then Tobias' Darkrai flipped Ashley's over his shoulder only to vanish back into the shadows. 'Where are you you coward? Show yourself!' Tobias' Darkrai commanded. 

 'As you wish.' Ashley's Darkrai replied before performing another uppercut. 

Before Ashley's Darkrai could vanish back into the shadows he was blasted by a Dark Pulse.  "About time." Tobias thought.  

"You can do it mommy!" Manaphy cheered being held by Jackie. 

 'I'll be fine your highness. I can still fight.' Darkrai assured as he got back up and floated back onto the field.

 He then rushed Tobias' Darkrai with Shadow Claw only for him to dodge and use his own Shadow Claw which sent Ashley's Darkrai flying backwards.

  "Tch...damn and we were doing so well." Ashley thought. 

Her Darkrai got up again and used Dark Pulse only for Tobias' Darkrai to run.  'Ha! Who's on the run now?' Ashley's Darkrai asked with a smirk.

 After chasing Tobias' Darkrai for a good five minutes Ashley's Darkrai managed to nail Tobias' Darkrai with Dark Pulse causing him to faint.  

"Darkrai return! You did good. I'm impressed Ashley you've beaten my Darkrai. Now I call Latios to the field." Tobias said as he sent out his Latios.

  "Then I'll send out my own Latios." Ashley said as she sent out her Latios. 

 'I'll make you proud your highness.' Latios assured as he attacked Tobias' Latios with Dragon Claw only for his Latios to attack with the same move resulting in sending each other backwards. Then Ashley's Latios used Dragon Rage which hit. Then Tobias' Latios flew as far away from Ashley's as possible but her Latios quickly caught up with Tobias' and used Dragon Pulse causing his Latios to lose altitude and crash into the ground, then Ashley's Latios used Dragon Breath which paralyzed Tobias' Latios then used Charge Beam followed by Draco Meteor. Once Tobias' Latios recovered from the paralysis he hit Ashley's Latios with Aerial Ace then he hit him with Zen Headbutt and flew away. Ashley's Latios gave chase yet again and when he was close enough he used Dragon Pulse to send Tobias' Latios crashing again...this time he was staying down. 

 "Latios return! Entei you're up!" Tobias called out.  

"Latios return! You did great now get some rest. Raikou I choose you!" Ashley called out. 

 "Entei start off with Fire Fang!" Tobias ordered.

  "Raikou Counter-Shield just like we practiced!" Ashley countered as Raikou discharged electricity to form a protective barrier which stopped Entei dead in his tracks. "Now use Thunder!" She ordered. Raikou lowered the Counter-Shield and struck Entei.  

"Entei use Flame Thrower!" Tobias ordered.  

"Raikou dodge and use Discharge!" Ashley ordered. Entei released the torrent of flames only to have Raikou run circles around him. Once Entei was wore out Raikou took the advantage to hit him with Discharge.  

"Entei use Sacred Fire!" Tobias ordered.  

"Raikou use Charge Beam!" Ashley countered. Both Pokemon were charging their attacks and when released Raikou's Charge Beam broke through the Sacred Fire and hit Entei knocking him out.  "Entei return!" Tobias recalled.  "Raikou return!" Ashley recalled. 

 "And with Tobias down three Pokémon and Ashley having lost none, we'll go into a short break!" The MC announced.  In Ashley's locker room she was being given a pep talk by Gary and Paul. "Alright Ash you got this guy down, now it's time to bring home the glory! If you get past Tobias then you can fight the Elite Four and eventually Cynthia." Gary said.  "He's right. If you can get as far as Cynthia and beat her then you'll be crowed the new Elite Four Champion of Sinnoh." Paul agreed while giving her a massage.

  "We believe in you Ashley, so go out there and make Pallet proud." Gary said.  "Will the trainers come back out to start off the second round?" The MC asked as Ashley and Tobias came back out onto the field. "And now with Tobias down three Pokémon and Ashley having lost none, we'll now begin the second round.  

"Deoxys go!" Tobias called out.  "Darkrai I choose you!" Ashley called out  "Ashley's calling Darkrai back out?" Misty asked slightly confused.  "The first two were perfect matchups but now she's doing things differently...considering that Ashley doesn't have a Deoxys of her own...yet. So it makes perfect sense to use Darkrai especially since he has a type advantage of Deoxys." Cyrus explained.  "Indeed. She was just testing Tobias earlier. Now things are going to be different." Giovanni agreed.  

"Let's go Ashley, let's go you can do it!" The Team Rocket Trio cheered wearing cheerleading outfits.  "How do they do that?" Dawn asked sweat-dropping.  "It's best not to question their logic." Giovanni replied face-palming.  

"Deoxys use Brick Break!" Tobias ordered. 

 "Darkrai use Shadow Claw!" Ashley countered. Both Pokémon collided and started pushing each other for dominance until Darkrai overwhelmed Deoxys and slashed him with Shadow Claw.  

"Deoxys use Focus Blast!" Tobias ordered.  

"Darkrai use Dark Pulse!" Ashley countered. Again both Pokémon began struggling for dominance until Darkrai yet again overwhelmed Deoxys. 

"Dark Void!" Ashley ordered.  

"Clever girl." Ghetsis thought. The attack immediately put Deoxys under.  

"Now use Nightmare!" Ashley ordered. Suddenly Deoxys began struggling in his sleep. 

"Deoxys use Sleep Talk!" Tobias ordered vainly as Deoxys kept struggling. 

 "Darkrai let's put Deoxys out of his misery. Dark Pulse!" Ashley ordered as Darkrai fired off the Dark beam of energy and hit Deoxys causing him to faint.  

"Deoxys return! Lugia go!" Tobias called out. 

 "Darkrai return! You did awesome." Ashley praised as she returned Darkrai to his Pokeball. 

"Lugia I choose you!" Ashley called out. "Aeroblast!" Both ordered. Both Legendary Pokémon charged up their attacks and shot at each other only to fight for dominance of whose attack was going to break. They didn't have to wait long until Tobias' Lugia began to crumble under the immense power and strength of Ashley's Lugia. 

"Now hit him with Dragon Rush!" Ashley ordered to which Lugia nailed the hit.  "Lugia use Whirlwind!" Tobias ordered.  

"Strong Gust to get rid of it then hit him with Aerial Ace!" Ashley countered. Tobias' Lugia created a strong whirlwind but was destroyed by Ashley's Lugia's strong Gust, then he hit Tobias' Lugia with Aerial Ace. 

"Let's finish this with another Aeroblast!" Ashley ordered which gave her Lugia the win. 

 "Lugia return! Zapdos go!" Tobias called out.  

"Groudon I choose you!" Ashley called out. Then she took out a Red Orb and made Groudon Primal Evolve. Maxie smirked at the sight of Groudon in all his glory right there on the battlefield. Zapdos was at a disadvantage which would ultimately bring home the victory for Ashley.  

"Zapdos use Thunder!" Tobias ordered which did absolute shit to damage the massive Ground/Fire Type Legendary.  

"Groudon use Mud-Slap!" Ashley ordered as he launched a slab of mud at the Legendary Lightning Bird. 

 "Zapdos use Charge Beam!" Tobias ordered. Again not doing too much damage.  

"Groudon use Mud-Slap again!" Ashley ordered as Groudon threw yet another slab of mud that caused Zapdos to faint.  

"Zapdos return!" Tobias recalled.  

"Groudon return!" Ashley recalled.  

"You impress me Ashley. Today you were the better Trainer. You have my respect." Tobias complimented.  

"Arigato Tobias. You did awesome too. Will you join me and my friends for lunch?" Ashley asked.  "Of course. It would be an honor." Tobias replied following Ashley out of the stadium.  After awhile the gang went to eat at a sushi bar. 

"Congratulations Ashley on the win." Professor Oak praised.  "Now all that remains is the Elite Four and Cynthia." Cyrus reminded.  

"Let's not think of that right now. Can we all agree that Ashley did a kickass job out there?" Archie asked.  "Mmhmm. It really gives you something to look forward to when she gets to the Grand Festival." Maxie agreed.  

"Speaking of. Who are you going to use for the Grand Festival?" Paul asked.  

"Palkia and Dialga." Ashley replied. 

 "Going out in a blaze of glory eh? I would love to see how their powers would be used for Coordinating. Roar of Time and Spacial Rend make for the ideal combination. Just imagining it just puts anyone in excitement." Cyrus said.  

"That's actually pretty true. I already can't wait to see that in action." Paul agreed.  "Hey Ashley when we get into Hoenn please use Kyogre." Archie begged causing Ashley to sweat-drop. 

 "Well I do plan on using him and Groudon in the Hoenn Grand Festival but that's a long ways away."  

"Hey Ashley how have ya been?" Tower Tycoon Palmer asked as he and Sinnoh Frontier Brains walked in.  

"Oh hey Palmer. What brings you guys?" Ashley asked.  "We were hungry so we came here to eat. Congrats on your battle with Tobias by the way, you guys both did awesome." Palmer complimented.  

"Hehe. Thanks." Ashley said rubbing her head blushing.  "So Ashley do you mind if I join you on your journey? As I've mentioned, you've captured my attention and I'm quite curious to see how your future will unveil." Tobias asked.  

"Sure. The more the merrier I always say." Ashley replied.  "Is it just me or is this group getting a little too big?" Misty asked.  

"Please, you can never have too many friends." Archie replied.  "He has a point." Lysandre agreed.  "So Ashley what are going to do after you challenge me and the Elite Four?" Cynthia (who's been with the group the entire time) asked. 

 "I plan on taking on the Silver Conference in Johto." Ashley replied.  "Sounds like you have your entire journey planned out." Cynthia stated.  "Yep." Ashley replied.  After after everyone ate they went to continue cheering Ashley on as she took out each and every Elite Four with just her Charizard and Lucario. "Well Ashley the time you've been waiting for is here. Stand opposite of me." Cynthia ushered as she took her side of the field while Ashley took the opposing side. "We'll have a full on six on six with no time limit. Sound good?" Cynthia asked.  "You bet!" Ashley replied.  "Spiritomb you're up first!" Cynthia called out.  

"Darkrai I choose you!" Ashley called out.  "Spiritomb start off with Ominous Wind!" Cynthia ordered.  "Darkrai slip into the shadows Darkrai, then strike!" Ashley countered. Darkrai slipped through the floor just as Ominous Wind was used. He sneaked around Spiritomb and hit him with Dark Void. "Now use Dark Pulse!" She ordered as Darkrai charged up the dark attack and fired hitting it's mark causing an immediate k.o. "Spiritomb return! Gastrodon go!" Cynthia called out.  'I'm good to fight your highness.' Darkrai assured Ashley who in turn nodded.  "Gastrodon use Mud-Slap!" Cynthia ordered.  "Darkrai use Dark Pulse!" Ashley countered. The two attacks hit but Dark Pulse continued it's intended trajectory and hit Gastrodon easily knocking him out as well.  "Wow. Darkrai has gotten more powerful since Ash caught him." Misty thought.  "That's generally what happens when you train a Legendary to the max." Cyrus stated.  "Gastrodon return! Roserade go!" Cynthia called out.  "Darkrai return! You did great. Charizard I choose you!" Ashley called out. "Don't give Roserade a chance to fight! Use Fire Blast!" Ashley ordered.  "Roserade dodge and use Magical Leaf!" Cynthia ordered but the blazing Kanji was fast and knocked Roserade unconscious. Roserade return! I must say Ash I'm quite impressed. You've managed to take out three of my Pokémon rather easily. But will you fare against my next wave?" Cynthia asked. "Go Lucario!" She called out.  "Lucario you're up sis." Ashley said as she returned Charizard to let Lucario have her fun. Ashley touched her Key Stone to let Lucario Mega Evolve.  "You think you're the only one to master Mega Evolution?" Cynthia asked pulling her hair back and tapped a Key Stone earring allowing HER Lucario to Mega Evolve as well. Both Mega Evolved Lucario started throwing fists and started kicking each other trying to get the other down until Ashley's Lucario stood victorious after a good long fighting match. "Lucario return!" Both trainers recalled.  "Go Milotic!" Cynthia called out.  "Gyarados I choose you!" Ashley called out and Mega Evolved it. "Use Hyper Beam!" Ashley ordered.  "Milotic dodge and use Dragon Tail!" Cynthia countered. Milotic was able to dodge the Hyper Beam and was about to attack until.  "Dragon Rage!" Ashley ordered. This attack DID hit Milotic.  "Milotic return! We'll see how you fare against my number one Pokémon. Go Garchomp!" Cynthia called out and Mega Evolved.  

"Gyarados return! Charizard I choose you!" Ashley called back out and Mega Evolved as well.  "Garchomp use Tackle!" Cynthia ordered.  "Charizard use Dragon Claw!" Ashley countered. Just when Garchomp was close enough Charizard uppercut so hard it sent Garchomp into the air. "Dragon Rush!" She ordered as Charizard flew at so fast he was just a blur and caught up to Garchomp only to come down on him as a blue fiery Dragon. "Combine with your Seismic Toss!" She added. Then Charizard combined his Dragon Rush and Seismic Toss and put Garchomp down.  "Such refined beauty." Wallace thought.  "She's used that in a Contest before hasn't she?" Dawn asked curiously but awed.  "As a matter of fact. It was that very combination that won her the Wisteria Ribbon." Wallace replied.  "I thought I saw that move before." Clemont stated.  "So pretty!" Bonnie exclaimed.  "Garchomp return! Congratulations Ashley you beat me and now I bestow you the title of Champion of Sinnoh." Cynthia said with a bow.  "Arigato Cynthia. It was an honor to battle you." Ashley returned the gesture.  

"Now it's off to the Grand Festival. Care to tag along Cynthia?" Wallace asked.  "You know it. I wouldn't miss out on this." Cynthia replied.  "Congratulations Ashley. You're the new Champion. I have to say that you're the only trainer who's ever beat Cynthia that easily." Professor Rowan said getting the group's attention.  

"Professor Rowan." Professor Oak greeted. 

 "Professor Oak. It's good to see you again." Professor Rowan returned the greeting.  Ashley stood there deep in thought until she was pulled into a hug. 

"I can't believe you're the Champion of two Regions now. Oh I'm so proud of you!" Delia praised.  "You sure are powerful Ashley. It's not that easy to beat a Champion but you've managed to beat Lance and Cynthia." Clemont complimented.  

"Yep she's a keeper alright." Bonnie thought.  "Please don't embarrass me again Bonnie." Clemont begged. The scene was so funny it made Ashley giggle a bit.  "So Ashley how's it feel to be a Champion in two Regions?" Professor Rowan asked.  

"It feels...different. Not bad different, but just different. To think a few years ago I was just a nobody. And then suddenly I was the hottest news on the media." Ashley cringed at the thought that once she was officially a Pokémon Master she was going to have less and less privacy. Not to mention they're going to spout rumors about her like they do with every other celebrity. They were one thing Ashley could NOT stand.  

"Believe me we know how you feel about...THEM. The media is ALWAYS snooping in our businesses, searching for the next hot news." Cynthia said as Lance, and Wallace nodded in agreement. 

 "Being a Goddess and a Champion's got her more screen time on the news than any of the other Champions. This is going to be a fun adventure." Paul thought bitterly.  

"Well. We better get out of here so me and Dawn can prepare for the upcoming Grand Festival." Ashley suggested. And so Ashley's Sinnoh journey comes closer to a conclusion as she and Dawn now prepare for the biggest part...the Grand Festival. But unaware to them a new villainous team has emerged and has been spying on Ashley and Mewtwo. 

 "Sir the girl has a Shadow Pokémon." The Grunt spoke through an earpiece.  "Get it. Whatever the cost we must have that Shadow Pokémon to further our plans. For the glory of Cipher." A man on the other end ordered.  "Yes sir!" The grunt acknowledged.
