Aurora ran. She ran through tunnels of stone that looked like Jade Mountain, except not. They were bare and cold. A large shadow loomed over her, quenching the tunnel into darkness, extinexing all the torches on the walls, which she happened to noticed were at even intervals. The anger and hatred rolling off the figure was almost overwhelming. It was almost as strong as if she felt it herself. Her fear grew as the tunnel came to an abrupt turn. She nearly hopped off the wall to avoid crashing. Thankfully, the shadow slide to a stop, temporarily turning into what looked like a wolf trying to eat her, jaws snapping. Aurora continued to run. Her claws started to bleed and her side ached.

Arctic Wolf. He couldn't do this, could he? The thought flew across her mind, and then dismissed it Her brother was unpredictable, but not this magical, if at all. His crude, light gray face popped up in her head. She ran faster, slamming her feet on the ground. The shadow took shape of a howling wolf, and she skidded on the stone floor to a halt, facing a wall of pure rock. Fear widened her eyes and it seemed as if she was being stabbed in the ribs. Her talons shook and clenched as she flexed her claws. A rumbling roar flew through her her ears. The ground shook. She stumbled to regain her balance. It stopped. Started again. Light entered her head, and she awakened.

Silence.

She gasped as blinding light shone, leaving her, well, blind. She slashed a talon with a hiss and backed up several steps, hitting a corner of a wall. Panic rose in her chest as she narrowed her eyes to slits that were barely visible, panting.

When her eyes adjusted, color reappeared.

Cometflinger stood in front of her, one talon on the furs that lay on her bed; the other was stretched out, likely shaking her to wake her up. Inferno was behind him, a matching worried expression on his face. Sahara was still on her bed, leaning forward. She also looked concerned. Tamarin wasn't in her hammock, likely having already left.

"You were fidgeting and whimpering in your sleep..." Comet explained, looking somewhat guilty. He knew how much she hated being woken up. She despised it. And he knew it. Well.

Realizing that it was just a dream, she layed back down, relaxing, and closed her eyes as she regained her breath and sanity, if there was any left. She waited for the world to fall back into place as Comet lay a comforting talon on her back.

So sorry I haven't updated this in... Almost a year now, wow. I kinda just fell out of the fandom for a while. Hope you enjoyed this short yet suspenseful chapter!
