I take a deep breath as I focus my energy on creating wings. I hear a surprised gasp from everyone that is backstage. Warmth fills my chest and weight hangs on my shoulders. Layla stands in front of me holding a floor length mirror and I see what everyone gasped at once I open my eyes. Wings of light and pure energy sparkling brightly.

I release my focus on my energy. The wings disappeared, leaving glitter everywhere. Layla comes up to me, clapping her hands with a big smile on her face.

Layla: "Good job lass. Have a rest before we go on." I nod while I catch my breath. Layla goes over and talks to Jack. We have the plan to try and get him to tell us his power.

I take a seat, resting my head against the cold wall. I hear footsteps heading towards me.
"Hey, what's up?" I see Mark cautiously make his way over to me.
Mark: "Hey, um.. I just wanted to see if you are ready for today's panel?" He keeps looking around, like he's scared to look at me.

I feel Shadow twitch in my mind, making me frown. I get up quicker then Mark expected, making him stumble backwards. A frustrated sigh escapes my lips as Shadow makes us walk away. I watch Layla's go from concern to worry as I storm outside, a black coat forming around my body. The cold air hits my burning face.

The door I just went through squeaked again and I see the green haired Irishman, Jack himself come though. I quickly wipe my face on the sleeve of my coat. I pull the hood further over my head, hiding my face.

Jack: "Hey, I wanted to see if you are ok. You friend is really worried about you." I nod while he spoke.

"Thanks for your concern." I say with a weak smile as I slowly face Jack. "I'm fine, Shadow has just been a bit temperamental lately.
