The land of Castre is a land full of wonders and magic. Magic users are classified by three different classes: Mage, Sage, and Wizard.

Mages are elementals who think their attacks and then they focus and harness energy from the world around them to create or use whatever element they were born with.

Sages are magic-users that think of runes in their mind and draw the runes in the air in order to cast the spell they're trying to use.

Wizards cast spells using words.

Castre is a vast land, full of various cities, holds, caves, taverns, forests, lakes, rivers, and an ocean. There is no modern technology (they use torches, and have just recently invented the crossbow). Castre is ruled by a King and Queen in the capital city, which is in the center of the land.

Your tribute can only use one type of magic, which will be selected after the reservations.

In Magi, there will be 32 tributes total. 32 tributes, 32 writers, not 24. 

YOU MAY CREATE TWO MAGI, but PLEASE ONLY TWO MALES OR A MALE AND A FEMALE BUT NOT TWO FEMALES SINCE THEIR SPOTS GO QUICKER.

Also, if you're talking with other writers, it's okay for your Magi to know one another. Remember, this group was hidden away and mentored by the same man, Mathas, so all 32 of you would know each other. ALSO IF YOU RESERVE TWO TRIBUTES THEY CAN KNOW EACH OTHER, OR EVEN BE RELATED SUCH AS COUSINS, SIBLINGS, or... in a weird way, parents. Like if you have a 30 year old male, he was 20 when the war happened, and he had an infant just before the war so now, his child could be 12. THAT'S A GOOD IDEA I HOPE SOMEONE DOES THIS. IMAGINE HOW DRAMATIC THAT WOULD BE. O.O

I WILL JUDGE YOU based on grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, story line, character depth and development, but ALSO I WILL JUDGE YOU ON MAGIC. If your character uses a lot of magic but never feels tired, or does a super powerful spell that realistically wouldn't be possible, or does anything that wouldn't make sense within the laws of magic, I WILL DOCK POINTS. Keep in mind you are all still students of magic. There will be a separate chapter on how magic works and the rules to follow for how it works in Castre.

MAGI TRIBUTES CAN BE AGES 12 to 30. PLEASE MAKE THEM ALL VARIOUS AGES. REMEMBER THAT WHATEVER AGE THEY ARE NOW, SUBTRACT TEN AND THAT'S HOW OLD THEY WERE WHEN THE WAR FIRST STARTED—I'm telling you this so you know what kind of back history to include in their characters based off how old they were during the war.

For instance, if your tribute is 21 now, they were 11 when the war was taking place, when their master/mentor, Mathas was taken and executed - when the Capital was taken. Their normal lifestyle before that could be anything, as long as it's not in a modern setting. But whatever their life was, they had to have trained with Mathas and the group of 32 other Magi. In their history, you don't have to say this on the form (since there will be a task for it), please start thinking about what happened when they were captured by Vaxon (which happened days ago in the story-line). He charged in with his army to where the Magi were currently hiding (this can be anything your imagination can think of), and there was a battle and the 32 Magi were captured and soon after thrown into the arena.
