Q: Of the stories you've written, which one is your favorite?

A: I've written short fan-fictions (10-20K words) based on the animes I love, but Nia's Resolve is my first original novel with 90K words. I'd say Nia's Resolve is my favorite because of the sweet scenes and particularly the (steamy) ending. However, the follow-up book that I'm currently writing is by far the one I'm most excited to publish, because there's just more of everything I love to write about.

Q: What was your inspiration for it?

A: I wanted a simple love story set in a college environment, then it turned into a life-changing event for my characters and took on a life of its own. Admittedly, I've drawn inspiration from the Wattpad classic Chasing Red and a handful of fan-fictions I've come across. Basically I wanted a book that made readers swoon and "aww" at the same time, and I think Caspian does an excellent job at doing just that.

Q: How do you plan out your stories?

A: All my books are heavily character-driven, meaning sometimes I know what's going to happen, and sometimes I don't. Sometimes I think I know what's going to happen, and then the story takes a different turn.

For example, I started Nia's Resolve knowing Nia was someone who would stand up for herself, but quickly learned that she didn't believe in herself nearly as much as I did. She's a person who puts too much energy into avoiding her fears rather than chasing her dreams. When Caspian comes along he shows her what it means to go after what you want, and they both developed in a way I absolutely adore.

Q: What is your favorite type of story to write? (e.g. fan fiction)

A: Short answer: romance!!

Long answer: the motto for my books is sweet romance and sultry sins... For me, a good love story is full of good and bad decisions, raw emotion, and connection in every sense of the word.

Q: Do you have a favorite author on Wattpad? If so, who? What story is your favorite?

A: I have a goal to read more and keep discovering all the wonderful authors on Wattpad, but two authors who are very nice people and write engaging books are TheBibicalSinner and RavenAvellino. Don't make me pick a favorite story, lol.

Q: What do you hope your readers will like best about your stories?

A: Hmm, well I hope each reader finds their own reason to like my stories. Overall I hope my books bring a smile to their face... and maybe a tear, every once in a while.

Q: Do you have a message for your readers?

A: I adore reading your comments, whether it's a reaction or suggestion. I do my best to interact with all my readers and in turn for the endless support, strive to put out my best work. You guys motivate me more than you know :)

About the Author

Q: What does your writing process look like?

A: It's a mess, lol. I start by scattering notes on my phone, laptop and notepad, then maybe brainstorm a few key points before typing like a mad woman. I re-write most of what I type and keep going from there. There are always key scenes that stand out even before I write the first word, and then the rest that connect them. After some scenes I laugh out loud or cry and hug myself, and sometimes I'm too exhausted to form another sentence. When I need a break, I can be found hiding in a blanket fort with a cup of tea reading a good book.

Q: What are your goals as an author?

A: My biggest goal is simply to create vivid, relatable characters, a world readers can get lost in, and a satisfying storyline. I hold myself to a very high standard and constantly aim to improve. I enjoy my life as a regular person, but in the world of writing I get excited to explore and share the endless realm of possibility. Whether or not official publishing comes down the road, I'll always want to put out a story worth reading.

Q: What are you currently working on?

A: Currently in the works are two new books:

The first is a love story for some familiar characters from Nia's Resolve. Instead of a "playboy" we have the "badboy" and he's not looking for love. There's going to be a lot more at stake, more action, and a passion characteristic of a Dom/sub dynamic.

The other book will be a werewolf romance set in an omegaverse. I'm excited to test out the paranormal genre and get in touch with my inner nature-lover.

About the Story

Nia comes from a broken home where "happily ever after" is something fictional. Caspian only wants to do what he pleases. The attraction is strong, but Nia is determined to be unmoved. Read their story in Nia's Resolve on our Featured reading list! Check out the official book trailer here:

Q: What do you like most about Nia and Caspian?

A: As an individual, I admire how Nia wants to be strong despite how her trauma holds her back. In the beginning she's caught between her fears and her dreams, and throughout the book learns how to turn her weaknesses into strength and becomes this woman who controls her own destiny and takes life by the horns.

Caspian is a champ for not letting roadblocks get him down. Even if his way of going about things isn't always right at first, he gets to where he needs to be. Many readers will get the impression he's the wrong guy to fall for, but when he finds something to dedicate himself to he's 100% in, and we need more people like that in the world.

Q: Are any of the characters based off of people you know or anime characters you like?

A: Not this time. All of my characters are broadly relatable in some ways, and also very unique in others. For example, Nia is scared to fall in love, which I'd say is very relatable, but she's had a traumatic past most people (hopefully) haven't experienced quite the same. I plan to write some paranormal books next year where the male lead, Ruen, will have characteristics inspired by Yami Sukehiro (Black clover) and another book focused on Levi Ackerman (Attack on Titan).

Q: What is your favorite scene? Why?

A: Hm. Well.... Gahhhh I can't pick. The ending has a special place in my heart, but only because you have to read all the other chapters to get there. I also love reading snippets of Nia's writing because she's so poetic.

Q: There's a dark realism that really sets your story apart from many others. What inspired it?

A: I love reading cliche romances, but also love when a book feels real. Just because love stories are meant to feel good doesn't mean they should ignore the parts of life that don't feel as good. I guess what I'm trying to say is I believe in a balanced story. My books will most likely always be for mature audiences, not only for the intimate moments, but for the topics discussed as well.
