When we step on that podium up on the stage,

We feel left out, stranded, drowning.

Our hearts racing, knees shaking, glowing eyes giving us butterflies, our stomach acidifies.

Public speaking

A situation some people consider worse than death,

Cause in death you feel nothing, in public speaking you feel anxiety creep within your body, your brain.

Most of us can feel the same pain,

To endure the pain, to wow the crowd is what to attain.

How do we defeat stage fright?

We practice and practice, each day, each night,

Trick our brain last minute before the speech saying:

"It's gonna be alright."
