Thor opened his eye. He had been unconscious for who knows how long. He had just seen Loki hand over the tesseract as if it had been a child's toy, had seen his best friend get killed, and now he saw his brother about to try and kill Thanos.

"Loki, NO!" Thor yelled, but it was no use. Thanos grabbed Loki's arm and twisted it painfully behind his back. "Undying loyalty? More like, dying loyalty" The titan said as he picked Loki up with a hand on his neck. "Let him go!" Thor yelled out desperately.

Thanos laughed "For once in your life, you're powerless, so now you just watch your brother die" he said. Thor felt tears slide down his cheeks.

Yes, Loki might be annoying, a back stabber, and a traitor, but he was still his brother, even if it was hard to accept it sometimes.

"Please let him go" Thor pleaded. Loki looked back at his brother with a sorrow and agony filled expression. "It's too late for me, brother, but remember I always loved you, even when I was against you" he said and turned back to Thanos. "And you will never be a god" he spat at the titan.

"Well see about that" he responded as he gave Loki's neck one last squeeze and let him go with a crack. "Noooooo!" Thor yelled out in anguish as he crawled towards his brother.

He reached him and cradled him just like when Loki had been just a baby, back when Thor protected his brother from lighting. "Brother..." Thor whispered to Loki's still form.

"I'm sorry I never said it, b-but I...I love you little brother" Thor whispered as he cried for the death of his brother and for the beginning of the end of the world,as Thanos laughed in the background, knowing he had broken Thor and that he would soon be able to destroy half the universe.
