Day 18 of Tour: Nebraska – Midday

Avi and Kirstie were going to the movies with no idea of what to see and they hadn't discussed it further than it was a day off and they should spend it together, just them, so they were going on a date to the movies, big mistake.
Avi needed to go to the bathroom and so he gave Kirstie his card and told her to pick the movie, also a mistake. Kirstie picked a horror movie, because why not, she doesn't tell Avi though, mistake.
They went into the movie and Avi didn't think to ask what they would be watching, he just took his card back when Kirstie handed it to him so he could buy snacks.
The movie started to play and Avi very quickly realised it was a horror, he hated horror. Kirstie waited for Avi to maybe put his arm around her, but he just shrunk into his seat, hands over his face in such a way to also cover his ears. It took Kirstie too long to realise he was terrified, but it was about the halfway point when she asked him if he'd like to leave. He was up so quick that Kirstie's had to run after him.
And that was their trip to the movies.

"I didn't know you didn't like horror movies," Kirstie spoke shyly.
"I think the correct word would be 'hate', I hate horror movies," he chuckled slightly, he was still looking a bit pale.
"I'm sorry," she apologized, pressing her head against his shoulder as they walked and leaving it there, her arm was also wrapped around his.
"It's okay, you didn't know," he shrugged.
"But I'm starting to think I should have, like the other day you literally left the room when we said we were gonna watch the movie that we did," she sighed.
"Well I ended up having the most awkward conversation with Esther so if it's any consolation I wish I'd stayed and powered through the stupid movie," he joked.
"Don't lie," she chuckled. "What was the conversation about?"
"Just something that was none of her business and yet I'm glad she said it," he shrugged.
Kirstie tried to hide the smile playing at the corners of her lips, hoping that the conversation was the one she thought it was, it would have been award between siblings so it had to be right? She doesn't ask any more questions about it, at least not today. "Nonetheless, if you hadn't have gone to the bathroom then the movie today wouldn't have happened. And you know what I was thinking too?" She laughed.
     "What's that?"
"A horror movie, perfect, Avi will protect me!" They both laughed.
"You should tell Esther that joke, she'll laugh harder than me," Avi smiled.
"Okay, so Scott and Mitch want me to ask you something," she said.
"Oh, they're talking again?" Avi asked surprised.
"I think so, I mean that or they've come together on this plan for me to ask you to buy us alcohol."
Avi's eyebrows shoot up, "You what now?" He pulled away from her a little, causing Kirstie to stand up straight.
     "We're only 19, you're 22," she explained.
Avi held his hands up to tell her, "I know how old we all are."
"And you also know that the three of us have had alcohol before, gotten drunk before."
"Oh I know, I also remember how coy you were telling me you'd had a drink at the A Capella party last year," he had an eyebrow up as he waited for her response.
"Cause I liked you and didn't want you to think poorly of me," she told him.
"Okay and why do you need the drinks now?" Avi asked.
"To get drunk duh," she chuckled. "We're missing so many parties back home right now and so we'd like to have at least something small of our own, and that relies pretty heavily on you being an awesome boyfriend and buying us something fun to drink," Kirstie smiled up at him.
"What you're saying is that you want me to break the law right now?"
Kirstie shook her head, "No, not right now, next week when Scott, Mitch and I are going to share a room, but of course you're invited too. And we'd invite Esther and Kev but..." she trailed off.
"They'd be pretty upset about the underage drinking," Avi narrowed his eyes.
"That and Kevin doesn't drink at all, so," she shrugged.
"So you asked me thinking I'd just be a pushover and buy you guys whatever you wanted? He was a little mad now, his arms folded across his chest.
"No! No, not at all, I thought you'd want to have fun with us," Kirstie explained.
Avi sighed, "I do, but I don't want to get in trouble."
"Why would you though? It's perfectly legal for you to buy alcohol; the shopkeeper wouldn't know who you're really buying it for. And besides if you drink with us then you're really buying it for yourself and there's nothing wrong with that," Kirstie smiled.
Avi nodded slowly, "In that case I don't see why not."
"Yes!" Kirstie cheered. "Thank you," she pulled him into a hug, squeezing him then stretching up to place kiss on his jaw.
Avi gave her a half smile, he was still a little unsure about the plan, but Kirstie was happy: so that was all that mattered.

A/N: Is this a good idea? Is there any way that this could go well?

Hope you enjoyed :)
