Avni nearly ran from the kitchen avoiding all the teasing taunts and laughters. She went back to room where Neil was randomly going through his case files. Neil smirked when he saw her and turned towards the door to go.

Neil: How was it wifey?

Avni: Bahot hi wahiyaad.. But sorry, I am not scared.

Neil: Ohho! Never mind. I still have time. Jokes apart, I have a team meeting regarding Pandit's missing husband. So Iam leaving. Bye.

Avni: I thought you would be here today.

Neil: I wanted to my dear. But, its important. Sorry.

Avni came forward and kissed him on his right cheek deeply. He looked at her intensely. He really didn't want to go. He would miss everything about her. He dropped the file and pulled her closer making her feel his warm breathe.

Avni: Ab nahi jaana?

Neil: Avni... Don't make things difficult for me.

Avni bent her head and kissed the part of his neck visible outside his shirt. He inhaled sharply and got lost in her eyes. He soon came out of the trance and pulled himself away from her.

Neil: Avni! I am late! Shit! Bye wifey.. I will repay this gift when I come back.

Avni smiled and nodded in a yes.

Neil: I will be back soon as fast as I can.

Avni muttered: I know for sure.

Neil: Hmm?

Avni: I said I will wait. Go now!

Neil raced out of the room only to meet Rahul near the stairs.

Rahul: Bhai.. you didn't have your breakfast. Here take this sandwich. Have it in your car.

Neil: Thanks dear! See. Somebody cares for me. Learn something from him Avni.

Rahul: She told me to bring it.

Neil looked at her and gave a genuine smile.

Neil: Thank you. I love you.

Rahul then looked at Neil's face and exclaimed aloud.

Rahul: I can see that!

Neil: You can see what?

Rahul: That you love her!

Neil: Naughty boy! Kaise?

Rahul: Neil bhai! Woh..

Before he could complete his sentence, Avni cut in.

Avni: Ab tumhe late nahi ho raha? You can have this Mahaaaa discussion when you return. Just go Neil.

Neil: Yea! I will get back to you hero. Bye. She is right and Iam really late. Bye take care.

Rahul: Par bhaiyyaa..meri baath ..

Neil raced to his car, and started off to his police station. Avni let out a sigh.

Avni: Rahul. You would have ruined everything.

Rahul: Oh my God! Aap? You saw that?

Avni(laughed): Arey Relax!

Rahul laughed with her holding on to his stomach.

Rahul: You are impossible!

Bebe: Whats so funny here?

Avni: Nothing Bebe. Just like that.

Bebe: Hmm. Tillu didn't even have breakfast properly beta.

Rahul: Sandwich diya hai maine.

Bebe: Ahan? Very good. Even then, he should eat something properly na..

Avni: Don't worry Bebe. He will have lunch with us today. Jald hi wapas ayega.

Bebe: He told that?

Avni: Nah. I just know that. Trust me bebe. Aa jayega.

And then Avni and Rahul bursted out into fits of laughter. Bebe stood completely clueless.

Neil reached the police station and met DD before getting into the meeting hall. DD was shocked and trembled with words.

DD: Sir Sir.

Neil: Everything afterwards DD. Come come. Lets start the meeting.

Neil went inside and saluted the commissioner.

Neil: Jai hind Sir!

Com: Jai hind ACP Khanna. Sit and lets start.

Neil pulled out a chair and sat just next to the commissionor facing everybody seated around the round conference table. Soon, there were whispers and giggles in the room. Neil raised his head to look at what was happening. All the glances were fixed upon him.

Neil: Kya hua? Silence!

Everybody hushed themselves and controlled their laughter. Commissioner started off the discussion and they successfully laid out traps, plans and strategies to find Mr.Pandit. Finally, the points discussed were being summarised by DD, and then commissioner noticed the suppressed chuckles of his subordinates. He raised his eyebrows to ask one of them what the matter was. Then, he signalled to Neil's cheeks. The commissioner looked at what he was pointing and started coughing controlling the rush of laughter. Neil immediately helped him with a glass of water.

Neil: Sir. Are you fine?

Com: Neil! When it comes to attending official meetings, there is some dress code. Please explain.

Neil: Sir?

Com: Arey bolo yaar.

Neil: Uniform or formal attire with leather shoes...

Com: With a sign of love on your face.. hai na?

Neil: hain?

Com: Yep. Revised rule. Everybody note down.

Neil: Sir! I don't get anything. Ye kaise hoga?

Com: Jaise aaj tumne kiya hai.. bilkul waise hi.

Neil was surprised.

Neil: Maine?

Just have a look in the mirror and see how well dressed up you are. DD soon pulled Neil and took him to a mirror in the corner of the room.

DD: Main aapko kabse bathane ki koshish kar raha hun..

And then Neil watched his face and suddenly cupped his mouth with both the hands. There were red lipstick marks both on his cheek and on his neck. The sign of love - yes! Neil covered his eyes with his hands and recollected his romantic encounter with his wife. Neil just turned around to face the teasing stares.

Neil: Sir! Sorry. I will see you later. I will just..

Com: Haa haa.. go go.

Neil raced outside to his car when he heard loud laughters behind him. He was embarassed beyond anything. He drove the car to Khanna mansion as fast as he could. He needed to escape from the police station right then. He mentally laughed at himself.

Neil(mumbled to himself): Neil! Are you mad? Kis se panga liya yaar tu ne? AVNI! Tumhe tho main...!
