A broken sandal caught his attention which he obviously recognised it as Avni's. There is no chance that she left only one of her sandals there and walked off. He started searching around for more clues. He saw a torn piece of her shiny black dupatta which she wore in the function stuck on to a metal fencing. Following further, he saw trails of blood drops and signs of someone being dragged along that way. His heart sank at the thought of Avni being injured. He dont even know who can be possibly behind it since Dayawanti mehta and family was behind the bars. Neil followed the blood trails silently each time with a heavy heart...
The dark lead him to a place which seemed like a colony. There was pindrop silence but every house there had their lights on at this late tym of night. Neil started looking for some sign to locate Avni from these many houses. He was pretty sure that he didnt have time to search each nd evry household. That would take tym and anything can happen to Avni then which he cant afford too.

Neil's trained eyes wandered around to locate Avni. At once he spotted a shadow of a girl near the window of a house. She was being pinned to the window panes and was struggling to get out of someone's strong hands. Neil ran like a wolf towards the house. He knocked the door. A middle aged man opened the door...

Man: yes?
Neil: have you seen a girl coming this way? She was wearing black dress.. she is my wife.. please help me..
Man: no.. i haven't seen anyone. Moreover, only me and my son stay here. He is also out of city now. Iam all alone in the house. I didnt see anyone coming this way.
Neil: iam surprised! Sch a long explantn fr my qstn... Anyways can u please get me some water?
Man(tensed): umm..okay..pls stay here

As the man went to fetch water, Neil went to him and locked the kitchen door. He stealthily moved in to the room where he saw the shadow. He banged a kick on the door nd the door flung open. Much to his shock he saw around 6 tall and fit people pointing weapons at him..
Man: welcome ACP Neil Khanna..! You outrun me and reached here much faster than I thought. Now use your sharp memory... Mujhe pehchana??

Neil was vry much sure he had seen ths prson somewhere. He tried hard to recollect and yess...! He is RAM NAIK.. the criminal brother of the notorious criminal Dev Naik whom Neil and his crew shot down in an encounter an year back..

Neil: Ram Naik..

RN: oh grt! ACP remembers my name.. yes RAM NAIK! The same brother who pleaded before you for my brother's life.. I was ready to give anything to you. But instead, you chose your country over my brother..
You shot down my lil brother in frnt my eyes...

Neil( irritated): He was a monster! He raped n number of grls and even sold them in market. If he was a brother, he must have thought that can be someone's sister too. You and he never valued relations nd nw you blame me for ur brother's death??

RN(angrily): whatevr he is, he is my blood. And i wont blame you from nw onwards. But promise me you wont blame me for what iam gonna do..(laughing aloud).. You have to pay for each of ur sins! I know u love yr wife dearly. You both have just started ur life. How abt giving a fond memry of hr??

Neil: you want to kill her? She is my wife.. nd a born fighter..!! She is not scared of u.. do u get that??

(Till then 3 of the men caught hold of Neil from his back nd locked his hands. Neil struggld to move)

RN: I know..I know.. but she wud defntly give up her life for you..! And listen I wont kill her.. I wl torture her nd trace evry part of her body whch belongs only to u (laughingly).. nd i wl make sure that all my men also have a feast of her. She herself will plead for death.. and she wont fight back since it will cause ur death!!!

Neil's blood boiled upto his ears.. Wild anger rose in him from nowhere.. He struggled hard to get out of the tight grip of men holding him..

RN moved frward to the end of the room where he ordered hs men to move... "Let ACP sir see his wife.."

The scene before neil was heart wrenching. His Avni was tied up with ropes. She had bruises of being beaten up. He also saw marks of 5 fingers on her face which was now swollen up. Her face was wet due to tears and eyes reddened. She was bearing a lot. He couldn't see her in pain..

Neil( shouted): AVNI...! AVNI..! Listen to me yaar.. kuch nahi hoga tmhe..

Avni raised her eyes and saw Neil infront of her. A faint smile appeared on her face..

Avni: Neil.. Iam fine..

RN: wah! Kya pyaar hai! But u cant be fine for long..

RN went closer to her. He pulled down her dupatta in one go and laughed aloud. He moved closer and pressed his body against her. Avni struggled within his mascular arms to get out. She felt instant energy and confidence since she knew Neil was there. RN unzipped her blouse which Neil had romantically zipped up that day morning. Her blouse began to slide down her shoulders. He caught hold of her skirt nd untied its knot. Avni held the skirt within her legs..

Neil( on the top of voice): DARE U TOUCH HER!! AVNI FIGHT BACKK!! U R A FIGHTER!! C'MON DO IT!!

Avni came into senses and she knew she had to do something. RN smelled the nape of her neck. In a fraction of second Avni lifted her legs to hit him hard with her pointed heels. RN fell back much to his horror. All those men who held Neil was shocked at the sight and Neil took advantage of the situation. He came out of their grip and started beatn them black and blue. All the 5 men where unconscious and RN was struggling to get up since Avni's second kick below his waist proved much heavy to take.
Neil made him stand. He vent out his anger on him. He broke his arms which dared to touch his wife. He punched hard on his face which made him collapse.

Neil: tum bhool gaye Ram Naik... Tum sirf ACP Neil Khanna se nahi.. saath mein uski beewi ke sath bhi panga le rahe the.. women in our country are not so weak that they need a man to save their respect. You are now fallen down because a strong woman fought back. She just needed confidence and remember... I am her confidence! Sadly tum ye pehchan hi nahi paye..

Suddenly DD and Neil's army barged in ( since they startd tracking Neil's phone when he went missing). DD managd evrything. He knew his bhabhi was in such a bad condition that he didnt look at her.
While clearing out he said " bhabhi take care..main aapse kal miltha hoon.. nd Neil sir.. i have parked a car for u outside near the highway..jai hind sir.."

Neil and Avni was left in the room. Tears were brimming up in her eyes. She was so thankful that Neil was with her. Neil silently came towards her. He wiped tears and sweat from her face. He untied her hands from the window rods..He traced his fingers on her bare back, brought her closer and zipped up her blouse. She kept on looking at him in his intense eyes. The same eyes in which she saw multiple emotions some time before. The fear of losing her, the pain of seeing her like this and tht unlimited positivity and confdnce which she took into hers. Neil's hands travelled downwards to tie up her skirt which was at the verge of falling down. He took the thrown away dupatta and made her wear that. He then looked all over her for more injuries and bruises. Avni then saw a brave cop turning into her husband. Neil touched her cheeks which had swollen up due to tight slaps. Avni at once flinged in pain. Neil couldn't take it longer and he pulled hr into a bone crushing hug..! She hugged him back.. both of them stood there like that for sometime finding peace in each other.

Avni: Neil...
Neil: Ssshhh... Abhi nahi please..
Saying this he hugged her even tighter which she reciprocated..
