"Yaar yeh kya naya masla hai ab?" Neil was behaving like a child.

(Man What is this new problem?)

It was Avni and Neil's wedding in a few days and many rituals were going on. Out of the blue, their parents threw a pile of rules and demands on them. And no, they did not stop there.

Today Swetha, Neil's mom came along his sweet grandmother to only tell him, "Neil before marriage, you and Avni can not see or talk to each other".

Like who does that?

"And what's the big deal in that?" Ali was being casual. He was sitting on the chair in Neil's room and was doing something on his phone. Neil's jaw dropped on the floor. He blinked twice looking at Ali, "How can you say this Ali?"

Ali rolled his eyes, "There are only 3 days left, and then she will be with you 24/7. In no time, you will miss these days." Ali put his phone down and looked at Neil, who was already eyeing him angrily.

Ali raised his hands in surrender, "Wooo buddy, chill" Neil huffed and picked a pillow from his bed and threw at Ali.

"You should have aimed somewhere else, not my handsome face." Neil picked another pillow and was about to throw it at Ali when his phone rang.

"Now why is she calling me?" He dropped the pillow on the bed and Ali ran towards Neil to see which piece was calling him a few days before his wedding.

"It is about to get juicy, which one of them is calling you?" Ali peeked over Neil's shoulder and got disappointed, "Oh it's her, pick it and see what she need?"

Neil answered the call, "Hey sis, what's up?"

"Omg, finally you answered my call" Neha, Neil's twin sister, said in an annoying tone.

"It's not my fault that someone annoys the hell out of me" Neil sat on the bed and Ali came to the other side and sat with him and pressed his ear against the phone to hear what she was saying.

"We will talk about this later, right now I'm trying to be a little cupid so don't say anything that will lead me to pick another option which I have" Neil made a confused face and turned toward Ali, seeing his face so close, Neil screamed.

Ali was so busy that he did not notice that Neil had turned his face towards him and hearing Neil's scream, he screamed but louder.

Neil had his hand placed over his heart and was doing in and out trick to calm himself. His phone was still placed against, where he heard Neha's voice coming from. But when Ali screamed, he got scared and dropped the phone down.

Ali was standing on the bed and looking here and there to see what happened. When he looked at Neil, "what happened man?"

"I DON'T KNOW YOU TELL ME?" Neil screamed on his lungs.

Thankfully there was no one at home. All of the Khanna ladies went to Avni's house for a ceremony that was to happen today and Mrs. Khanna was attending his meeting. Both of them would have been embarrassed if anyone has heard them.

"I DON'T KNOW YOU ARE THE ONE THAT FREAKING SCREAMED IN MY EARS" Ali screamed back at Neil.

"It was your fault... who told you to put your face in front of me?" Both of them were still standing on the same spot they were.

"I was about to...." Neil paused and Ali raised his eyebrow.

"You were about to what?" Ali asked him in confusion.

"We... I.. we.." Ali was irritated now with Neil's broken sentences. He got down from the bed and stood in front of Neil, "you and me what? Can you speak so I can get to know?"

Neil cleared his throat, "We were about to.." He put his index finger on his lips and then pointed towards Ali's cheek. Ali made an oh with his mouth.

"Do not ever come closer to me ever again or else I am going to...."

Ali narrowed his eyes at Neil, "Oh hello mister, you should control yourself. I am straight but you......" Before he could complete he got hit with a hairbrush that Neil has thrown at him.

"NEILLLLL" Ali picked up a vase from the table when they both turned towards the balcony as they heard some noise. Their eyes were wide and they looked at each other.

"Aren't we alone Neil?" Ali got behind Neil, who rolled his eyes.

"I thought that too." Neil slowly started to walk toward the balcony door and grabbed a bat that he always kept near the door.

Whoever was in the balcony was now banging on the door.

"I am not even married yet" Ali was sweating and Neil stopped and turned towards him, "And am I married?" Neil pointed towards himself.

The balcony door opened, Ali screamed and shut his eyes, Neil turned around and was about to hit the intruder with his shut eyes, when girl's scream was heard.

Her scream was so dame high pitched that Neil dropped the bat on the floor and covered his ears.

Ali had his eyes shut and was mumbling something. He peeked his one eye open and what he saw made his jaw be dropped on the ground, "AVNIII!!!"

Avni was standing in front of them in her yellow dress for mehndi. Her hairs were styled in a side braid and she had no makeup on her face.

Hearing her name, Neil opened his eyes and got shocked, "Ali pinch me?" Ali still looking at Avni pinched Neil so hard on his arm.

"OW MAN!" Neil was rubbing where Ali has pinched him, "Avni you are here?" he tilted his head to the side and checked Avni out who had her hands on hips.

Avni turned around and went out to the balcony, "Clear Smear" She bent over the railing and yelled at someone down.

She turned around and saw both boys still looking at her like she was a ghost and they were blinking more than needed and still had their jaws on the floor.

"Why the hell were you two screaming when Neha called you?" Avni went near Neil and angrily asked him while keeping her hands on her hips.

Ali started to cough, "I .. I am going.. to get water" and without getting any response he ran out of Neil's room leaving him alone to bare Avni.

"I...." Avni narrowed her eyes at Neil and he stopped.

"You look beautiful soon to be wifey" Neil grinned at Avni and saw her making a bored expression, "I am not even fully ready Neil. I was getting ready when she called you and God you two started to scream out of nowhere"

Avni stopped and looked around the room and then looked at Neil, "Are you okay Neil?"

Neil chuckled, "I feel like I am a bride not you" Avni slapped him on his chest and moved towards the balcony when Neil held her forearm to stop her.

With Neil's one pull she landed on his chest, "Where are you going wifey?" Avni pinched on Neil's hand and freed herself, "I just came to check on you and since everything is fine, I am going to go back. I have things to do" Avni winked at Neil and went out to the balcony.

"Listen, did you climbed the balcony for me?" Neil was pointing towards himself.

"When you have a brainless soon to be husband, the soon to be wife have to do everything?" Avni was getting on the railing and Neil rushed toward her and made her get off of it.

"Are you crazy? What if something happened?" Neil was angry but also glad that Avni came to see him.

"I was born this way and it is still not late to refuse for the wedding." Avni crossed her arms on her chest.

Neil crossed his arm, "And I will say no if you break something pretty or yours"

Neil and Avni were having a staring competition when someone from down the balcony screamed, "bhaghi hui phir laut ka aaho gi" Avni's eyes went wide and she looked over and saw a car entering the driveway.

"Holy Moly Snickers, I have to rush out" Avni kissed Neil on the lips and went down the railing and started to go down the balcony.

Neil was shocked and his face was tomatoes red, "Am I a bride or a groom?"

I want a friend who is like Avni, please!!!

Sorry for not posting yesterday. This OS is unexpected from every angle and I know.

Currently I'm writer block on Qismat short story but I'll start to post that soon. But til than I'll keep entertaining y'all with One Shots. Also, can we please have at least 200 votes as I always have +900 readers but less than 100 votes. It will means a lot to me.
