Two months passed by happily. The bond between Neil and his Angel grew stronger. Neil and Neela also became very close as Neil used to spent most of his free time with Neela and Avni at Mehta Mansion.

One Day -

Neil- Neela aunty. Aap to meri maa jaisi ho to....

Neela- Maa jaisi kyu? Maa bhi bula sakte ho...

Neil- Yaaaay. Par aapko kaise pata chala ki mei kya bolna chahta hoon?

Neela (smiles) - Maa jo hun.

Neil- Neela maa kya mei Angel se mil sakta hoon?

Neela - Wo to abhi so rahi hai.

Neil makes a sad puppy face.

Neela- achcha thik hai. Ye cute puppy face banane ki jarurat nhi hai. Jaake dekh aao uth gyi kya. Bas so rahi ho to disturb mat karna.

Neil- OK. Thank you Neela maa. Aap bahot Achchi ho.

Neil runs to Neela's room and saw Avni in the cradle. He moved closer and saw her wide awake.

Neil- Angel tum uth kyu gyi. Neela maa ko lagega ki maine utha diya.

Avni gives him a cute smile and waves her hands towards him as if she  wanted to touch his cheeks.

Neil- Koi Baat nhi main tumhe phirse nini dila dunga.

Avni giggles.

As soon as Neil had entered Neela's room Shweta came searching for him.

Shweta- Neil yahan aaya hai na?

Neela- Are Shweta ji... Aap baithiye na. Neil upar Avni se milne gaya hai.

Shweta- Tu hi bata kya karoon main iss ladke ka! Sorry Neela. Tillu yahan roz roz aake pareshaan karta hai.

Neela- isme pareshaani ki kya baat hai. Neil mere bete jaisa hai. Wo yahan jab chahe aa sakta hai.

Shweta- Haan par usse school ka homework chodke thodi aani chahiye. Din bhar Angel Angel karta reheta hai. Angel kab mere se baat karegi? Angel kab school jaayegi? Angel kab ye karegi kab wo karegi? Ufff!

Neela - Lagta hai humse jyada excitement aur intezaar Neil ko hai.

They laugh and go to Neela's room to find one of the most beautiful sight.

Neil was singing Avni to sleep.

Neil- Angel main ek lori sunata hoon. Maa mujhe ye lori sunati thi.

Neela (whispers) - Shweta ji. Achcha kiya hum upar aa gaye warna ye nazara nhi dekhne milta.

Shweta (whispers) - Haa Neela. Chalo hum niche wait karte hai. Kahi humari hi nazar na lag jaaye.

Neil- Par hum to abhi bhi Bachpan mei hi hai.

He looks at Avni who had slept with a cute baby pout.

Neil- Itni jaldi so gyi! Maine to pura ganna gaya bhi nhi. Tum kitni cute ho Angel! Bye abb mujhe jaana hoga. Main kal phir aaunga. Aaj to tumse baat hi nhi hui.

He goes back home with Shweta.

Another set of months passed by

Neil comes to Mehta Mansion and takes care of Avni with Neela. Avni was lying down on the bed and Neela came downstairs to speak to Shweta. Dayawanti went to the Khanna House to meet her bff Harleen. While every one were busy in them some cute moments were happening between AvNeil.

Neil- Angel, tum kab baat karna chaalu karogi. Crawl to kar liya abb baat karo na. Aur kitna intezaar karu.

Avni responds by clapping her little hands.

Neil- Achcha! To tumhe maza aa raha hai apne Neilu ko besabr hote dekh. Huh! (folds his arms against his chest and fakes anger) thik hai abb mei tumse tab tak baat nhi karunga jab tak tum mujhse baat nhi karogi.

Avni (in mind) - Achchaa beta. Bohot sahi tareeka apna rahe ho. Mai bhi Dekhu kab tak naraz rehte ho.

Avni starts sobbing.

Neil (gets scared) - Angel kya hua. Please mat ro. Achcha I am sorry mei kabhi aisa nhi karunga. Promise abb chup ho jao.

Avni stops crying and starts giggling.

Neil gets confused about her sudden change and then it clicks him.

Neil- Ohh to tum mere saath hi game khel rahi ho. Thik hai. Katti.
(and turns his face on the other side)

Avni- Ne... Nei... Nei

Neil gets surprised and looks back at Avni.

Neil- Phirse bolo.

Avni- Nei.. Nei

Neil- Arre buddhu. Nei nhi Neil. N E I L.

Avni (giggles) - Neil.

Neil (shouts) - Maa... Neela maa jaldi upar aao... Jaldi...

Shweta/Neela- arre kya hogaya?

They run upstairs. Ashish had also come by that time and ran behind them.

Shweta- kya hua tillu?

Neil- Neela maa.... Angel ne mujhe Neil bola.

Neela- Sachchi??? (she was still in shock)

Shweta- Tillu aise koi bulata hai kya. Hum to dar gaye the...

Neela- Avni mera bachcha. Firse bolo kya bola?

Avni- Nei...Neil

Tears of happiness flowed from Neela's eyes. Shweta also looked very happy. She remembered the time when Neil's first word was Avni. They are made for each other she thought. Everyone were happy but the person who was the happiest was Neil. He was jumping all around and ran towards Khanna house announcing all the way that Avni called him Neil.....her first word was Neil.

AVNI'S FIRST BIRTHDAY

MORNING 6:00 AM

Neil woke up early for the first time in these 3 years.

Neil- Mom! Aaj Angel ka birthday hai. Main uske ghar jaa raha hun.

Shweta- Arre Tillu rukh. Abhi to bas 6 baje hai. Thodi der baad chale jaana.

Neil- Nhi mom. Angel iss wakt neend se uthti hai. Mujhe use uske aankh kholne ke baad sabse pehle wish karna hai. 

Saying this he ran away.Shweta could not stop him.

IN MEHTA MANSION, a princess was sleeping peacefully with a cute pout and two pair of eyes were adoring them.

Ashish- Humari Princess kitne Shaanti se so rahi hai. Main pray karunga ki iski life mei humesha khushi aur shaanti ho.

Neela- Tumhare iss prayer se iski life mei to shaanti hogi. Par doubt hai ki ye kisi ko shaanti se rehne degi ki nhi. Abhi se hi kitni shararti ho gayi hai.

Ashish- Kya tumne meri Princess ko shararti bola?

Neela- Aur nhi to kya? Tum to ghar pe hote nhi ho iske tantrums dekhne ke liye. Mujhe aur Neil ko sab sehna padta hai. Tumhe pata bhi hai ki ye Neil ko kitna pareshaan karti hai. Neil ke baal khichti hai. Uske saath nakhre karti hai....usko bewakoof bhi achcha bana leti hai apni baat manwane ke liye.

Ashish- Aakhir beti kiski hai? Haina Princess?

Neela was about to reply when there was continuous knocks at the door.

Ashish- Itni subh subh kon aagaya?

Neela- Mera beta aur kaun?

Ashish- Oh haa main to bhul hi gya!

Neela opens the door and saw Neil waiting very impatiently.

Neil- Angel uth gayi kya?

Neela- Tum uthane na aao aur wo uth jaaye aisa ho sakta hai kya?

Neil smiles ear to ear and ran to his Neela maa's room.

Ashish- Isko kya hogaya?

Neela- Khud hi dekhlo.

They follow Neil upstairs. Neil caresses Avni's head and waited for her to wake up. After a perfect 5 minutes Avni woke up and saw Neil.

Neil- Happy birthday Angel.

Neela/Ashish- Happy Birthday Princess.

Avni sits up and claps with her cute baby little hands. She gives a weird look towards Neil and crawls towards her papa. Ashish lifts her up.

Ashish- Meri Princess abb kitni badi hogayi hai. Full 1 year ki hogayi hai. (kisses her forehead)

Avni then goes in her Mumma's arms.

Neela- Olle mela bachcha...Happy Birthday. 

Avni dances a bit in her mother's arms and then Neela places her on the floor. Avni again looks at Neil who was sitting with a sad puppy face. Avni started to lift her arms towards Neil. A gleam of happiness spread across Neil's face. He was about to hold her, she dropped her hands and made a grumpy face.

Neil- Kya hua? Main gift nhi laya iss liye naaraz ho?

Avni hodds her head.

Neil- Thik hai main gift dunga par uske liye tumhe chalna hoga.

Avni (with a cute pout)- ni (nhi)

Neil- Thik hai tumhe gift bhi nhi milega.

Avni- Haa..Haath........ppp...palo (pakdo)

Neil holds her hand. Avni tries to stand up but she gets scared and sits down. Neil starts to sing and give her confidence....

Haule haule tu kadam Badha meri jaan

Avni finally stands up for the first time and continuously stares at Neil.

Itna bhi yoon na darr Tere sang main haan chalta rahoon

Avni takes her first step with Neil's help. The two pairs of eyes couldn't stop adoring their bond.

Jab talak hai bani mujhme jaan

Avni takes two more steps before sitting down again.

Mushkil hai suna ye safar bada
Par sang mein tere mere hai Khuda
Sapna saja hai kal kisne dekha
Phir se naya..

Avni stands up again and starts walking holding Neil's hand with her little fingers and a big smile on her face.

AT NIGHT 8:00 PM

A grand party was organised in Mehta house for Avni's first birthday and also for Avni's first step. The whole Mehta Mansion was decorated with Pink and white theme. Twelve Photo's of avni with each of a month was stuck near the cake cutting table. The table was decorated with white cloth which made it look like a girl's skirt and ONE was written on it. Pink and white coloured ballons were all over the room.

Neil- Ye ghar itna pink pink kaise hogaya? Kitna girly lag raha hai.

Neela- Wo iss liye kyun ki ye ek girl ka birthday hai....

Neil- Neela maa, Avu kab aayegi niche.

Neela- Wo dekho aa gayi.

As soon as Neil looked at Avni only one thing came out from his lips- ANGEL.

(Just imagine crown has 1 written instead of 1/2)

The birthday party was celebrated as the best birthday ever. Avni was tired but she did not sleep. Neela maa changed her clothes and was about to make her wear a fresh diaper when Ashish called her out. Neil tried to pick Avni up. He was trying hard and finally he made Avni lie on his lap.

Neil- Angel tumhe mera gift kaisa laga?

Neil had gifted Avni a talking Barbie girl.

Avni waved her hand happily. Neil became very happy.

Neil- Par mujhe return gift nhi mila.

Then what followed was a series of telepathy between them.

Avni (thinks)- Achcha mujhse return gift maang raha hai.

Neil (thinks)- Gift liya to return gift to dena padega..

Avni (thinks)- Achcha ruk

Neil- Waiting.

Suddenly Neil felt something wet. He saw that his shirt and pant got wet. He tried to smell what it was when it clicked him that it was pee. He looked at Avni who was laughing and clapping her hands.

Neil- Angel ye kya kar diya.

Avni (thinks)- return gift diya buddhu

Neil places Avni on the bed. 

Neil- Chiiiii....

Avni (thinks)- sussu hi to kiya. Khair mana ki potty nhi kar diya. Itne mei hi kitna overacting kar raha hai.

Neil rushes downstairs where Neela, Shweta, Ashish and Prakash were sitting. Bebe and Dayawanti went to another room to talk.

Shweta- Arre Tillu, tera shirt aur pant kaise gilla hogaya? Tune Pee kar diya kya?

Neil- Wo mom, wo actually Avni ne mujhe return gift diya hai.

Shweta looked at him with a big question mark.

Neil- Wo Avni ne mere upar sussu kar diya.

Saying this he ran home. Ashish and Prakash started laughing out loud after sometime.

Neela/ Shweta- Ashish/Prakash ji

Ashish and Prakash stopped for a moment and then again bursted out laughing.

The ladies were shocked but the moment was damn hilarious!
