DISCLAIMER- Ok guys, so this surprise is inspired HUGELY from a show called Son of Abish.

Neil went back to the room in deep thought about how to cheer up Avni. He knew that she was upset that he hadn't been around to celebrate with her. His original plan was just to go out for a romantic dinner but he felt now that a cliche date idea was not good enough...after being MIA for 3 days he knew that he needed to do something unique that Avni won't expect. He knew that she would accept anything happily but he wanted to really surprise her with something that she'd really love but not expect..he was racking his brains to come up with a plan and the suddenly like a Eureka moment a brainwave happened. It was going to be a borrowed idea from a show that she really enjoyed watching. And he knew it would be a hatke plan because he knew that she'd definitely enjoy it and it would be super fun! So he started setting his plan in action.First he created a separate WhatsApp group without Avni and informed their family of the occassion and what his plan was. Next he needed to make some preparation for which he needed Avni to go out for sometime and this time he decided to call Aman for helpAman was happy to help and he called up Avni on the pretext of getting her opinion on his finances, to accompany him to the bank. Avni immediately set out to help her brother as soon as she called and our supercop was in action setting things up for the surprise. He went to neelama house and finished the arrangements at home first and then went out to buy some more stuff that he'd need. Aman requested his sister about having lunch outside with her and Avni happily obliged. Finally Neil called Aman once everything was set and everyone had gathered at neelamas house.After lunch Aman suggested to Avni that they should visit neelamas house.When they got there and entered inside, Avni was shocked to see the decorations. There was a banner that read congratulations and Neil and her family had all sprung up together screaming surprise. They were all wearing party hats and there were lot of interesting things set up. She saw a couple of balloons, paper cups, chart papers, tt racquets, ping pong balls and misc stuff heaped up on the table. There were also helium balloons....she was staring at everything in awe!Avni- is this all what I think it is? She asked happilyNeil walked upto her and put an arm around her and said - yes wifey! We are going to have a special party and play all your fav party games that you always meant to play but haven't. No more of the usual passing the parcel, dumb charades and antakshari. We are going to do some super fun stuff! But before that we are going to cut a cake.Avni gave him a big smileNeelama brought out Avni's fav chocolate cake with a big congratulations written on it. Everyone gathered to cut the cake and wished her for her promotion. She fed the cake to all of them.Neil- ok guys we're all set now. Let's start with Aman and Avni. we are going to start with a game called who breaks first which is avni's favorite! So I have a bunch of cards with dialogues written on them. Each player has to take a whiff of helium from these helium balloons and then say these dialogues. The aim is to NOT laugh. For each time a person laughs the penalty will be to drink Bebe's special kaadha preparation in these shot glasses. (Inhaling helium and then talking leads to this extremely squeaky and high pitched slightly nasal voice which sounds super funny!So imagine these dialogues in such a funny voice.)Aman and Avni gathered in the center holding helium balloons and started the gameAman- kutte main tere khoon per jaoongaAvni almost cracked listening to a threat in such a funny twang but managed to keep her tough face intactAvni- meri aankhon main dekh ke kaho ki tum mujhe pyaar nahi karteAman doubled over laughing. And he had to drink Bebe's special kaadha. He scrunched up in face in distaste as he gulped it down.Aman- ye dhai kilo ka haath jab kisi or padta hai toh aadmi uthta nahi uth jaata hai.Avni didn't budge. She bit back her laughter.Avni- Rahul is a cheater, he is a cheater!Aman lost it again. He was in splits. He had to drink again!Aman- main tumhaari bacche ki maa banne waali hoonAman had finally struck gold because this time Avni could not control her laughter. Infact everyone was now diubked up laughing hard! Avnj had to take a shot of the kaadha. She pinched her nose and downed the glass!Neil- ok time for the next game which is head writer.This was going to be played by neelama and Aman versus Shweta and Avni. Neela and Shweta were given a helmet with a pen attached to it. They had to use the pen attached to the helmet to write out words on the chart paper in front of them which was stuck on the wall. This was again a super fun game because Neela and Shweta were moving their heads like unme maata aagayi and obviously all the writing was scribbled....nobody could figure out what they were writing! But everyone was in splits looking at them moving their heads round and round! Next was a simple game with chopsticks and channa kept in a bowl. The aim of the game was to use the chopsticks to transfer one channa at a time from a big full bowl in the center to another empty bowl. Whichever person transferred the most channas in 2 minutes would win. But this game was played by bebe and Prakash both of whom had no idea how to use chopsticks! So it made for a super entertaining game for the rest of them to watch.For the finale Neil decided on a series of 3 games- volleyballoon , tt ball bouncing, and paperplane flying. Whoever did best on all of them would win! The others were the judge. . This was played by Neil and Avni. First was 2 minutes of volleyballoonThey had to use any body part except their hands to play volleyball but with a balloon.The others cheered them on. After 2 minutes they switched to TT ball bouncing. The aim was to keep bouncing the pingpong balls on the TT racquet without letting it drop. Whoever had the most touches in 1 minute would win. Neela did the counting for Neil and Aman did it for Avni. Both of them bounced the pingpong balls nonstop. And finally it was time to make as many paperplanes as they could in 2 minutes and also fly them!Both Avni and Neil transformed into kids as they folded up their papers into planes and sent them flying in the room. Finally when the time was up Avni was declared the undisputed party game queen!Neelamas living room looked like a mess at the end of it all with all this stuff strewn across the place...but it was all worth it because Avni had the biggest smile plastered on her face. Not just her, everyone had enjoyed this afternoon of fun and games...but definitely Avni looked like she had the most fun. All of them could see that despite all her exterior facade of being serious and mature, there was a child inside her! Aman was pleasantly surprised to see his usually calm and mellow Di in this Avatar. A the others were not strangers to this facet of her personality but it was still rare to see her let her guard down like this!Finally after helping clean up everyone dispersed. But Neil had one last surprise left for avni-He took her out to the cliff where they had first met. They stood there together both feeling extremely nostalgic. This place was special to them .it's where they first met and also the place where their confession had happened. Neil- Avni , close your eyes naAvni- Kyun? Phir se yahan se girane ka irada hai? She teased himNeil - ha ha! So funny u r avni. Please ab chup chap aakhen band Karo naAvni complied and closed her eyesNeil held out a box in front of her and asked her to open her eyes.Avni looked down and gasped as she saw that he was holding a box with such a beautiful pair of diamond ear-rings in front of her. They were absolutely exquisite. Avni- wow! Neil they are so amazing. Thank you.Neil- may I?Avni nodded and Neil swept her hair to one side as he placed the ear-ring on one ear...he placed a soft peck on her earlobe as he did so and then repeated the same with the other side.Then he pushed back her hair behind her ears so that he could see her pretty face adorned by the ear-rings he had bought her.Neil- Beautiful he exclaimed Avni blushed and moved forward to hug him- thank you so much! For making this whole day so special.Neil- you deserve it wifey! Avni- moved back and said - I'm sorry I was so upset. I know tumhaari galti nahi hai ki tumhe kaam agaya, but I really missed you. I really wanted to celebrate with you. She confessed. Neil- it's ok Avni, I understand- He said cupping her face. I also really wanted to be there and celebrate on the day you got the news of your promotion... But koi nahi. Der aaye durust aaye, Haina?Avni just smiled and nodded.Neil - vaise tumne ghar pe kisi Ko bataya Kyun nahi about your promotion.Avni- because if I told them, they would have planned something. But I wanted you to be around to celebrate too...tumhaari Bina kisi cheez main mauj nahi hai. She said earnestly And hearing that neil was overwhelmed with emotions. He gathered her in his arms once again placing a kiss against the side of her face.

So that's a wrap of this chapter. I have watched all the games mentioned in this chapter on the show called Son of Abish which is on YouTube and currently on hotstar too. I think these games are super fun both to watch and play....I dunno if that has managed to come through in just the writing of this chapter though....but perhaps if you guys watch the video you'll get a better idea of what i have described.
