Later on Sunday evening Aman and avni headed back to the Khanna house. As the car approached the driveway avni suddenly spotted Neil's Jeep and exclaimed- Neil ki Jeep?! Matlab Neil Ghar aagaya! Oh shit pata nahi kab aaya....itni jaldi kaise agaya? He was only supposed to come by night and it's only 5 now. Aman looked at his crazy sister n said - Di relax! Itna hyper kyun horahe ho! Avni- shut up chote. She said as she all but ran out of the doors and into the house.As she ran in, she barely paused as she asked bebe- Neil? Bebe just about started replying- haan upar kamre....but avni was out of earshot already running up the stairs shouting a thanks to bebe for the info.Bebe just chuckled. Aman meanwhile took Bebe's blessings and decided to head back home.Avni ran up and breathlessly opened the door to find Neil sitting on the bed working on his laptopAvni- Neil! Tum kab aaye? Tumne mujhe phone kyun nahi kiya? Tum toh raat ko aane vaale the na? She interrogated in a hurry!Neil- grumpily replied- haan jaldi aagaya and continued workingAvni- accha, to mujhe bataya kyun nahi?Neil- Kya mujhe apne Ghar aane keliye tumhe inform karna padega abhi?!Avni- na...nahi. aise kyun bol rahe ho. Main toh bas...Neil bas Kya? Bas Kya avni? Main tumhe surprise karne Ghar jaldi aagaya. Mujhe laga Meri wifey mujhe shayad thoda toh miss karegi but tum toh....he trailed off shaking his head disappointedly.On the outside he was looking angry and upset but on the inside Neil Khanna was laughing! He was purposely pretending to be upset so that he could see how his wifey would manaofy him. It was not often that the tables were turned like this and he was definitely keen to milk the opportunity fully!So he continued his facadeAvni- Neil...aisa nahi hai...she sat beside him on the bed and said...I did miss you. I swear I did. Neil- please yaar avni, jhoot mat bolo. Tum mujhe miss karti toh apne Bhai ke saath road trip pe mazein nahi kar rahi hoti. You were having a fabulous time without me! I saw the insta notification! Chilling in lonavala.Avni- Neil I am sorry...aisa nahi tha. Voh toh spontaneous plan ban Gaya. Voh Aman gift laaya mere liye so I dedcided to do something for him too... Mujhe pata hota tum aarahe ho toh main nahi jaati. I swear! She said in a desperate tone wanting Neil to forgive her.But Neil Khanna was in a full on teasing mode today. After all he had such a good chance to have avni chase him and try to pacify him...he couldn't let it go so easily!Neil- avni, mujhe kaam hai. Tum apne excuses apne pass rakho. He said sternly and walked out of the room. Avni couldn't see his face as his back was turned towards her so she didn't see how hard Neil was trying to control his laughter!Avni- Neil, please ruko. Meri baat toh suno. I didn't know you were going to be back so....Neil- so what avni?! Main bhi dekh Raha hoon...aajkal tumhaari priority main Mera number last pe hai!infact Meri toh priority hai hi nahi! Maa, papa, bebe, neelama, Aman, Ali...subke liye time hai, sivaye mere! Great.And he walked away with a huff. He headed to the study.Meanwhile avni was flabbergasted. She had no idea why Neil was behaving like this but she also felt incredibly guilty. She started thinking- have I really been ignoring Neil? In between my work, family, Aman etc maybe I am not giving my husband enough time...how do I fix this? I need to let Neil know that he's wrong, that he is my first priority! She was extremely tense and upset. Meanwhile Neil was unaware of the tension he had given avni. He was only pulling her leg but he didn't realize that his acting could freak avni out! Avni thought of ideas to pacify Neil. She started by heading to the kitchen to make Neil's fav rajma chawal. She had already planned to make it for Neil and had asked bheema to soak the rajma. Only she had planned to make it in a relaxed manner but instead Neil's early arrival meant she needed to do everything in a hurry. She worked fast, slightly grazing her fingers with the knife as she chopped onions and tomatoes. But she ignored the sting and continued to cook up her hubby's fav dish. Surely seeing the rajma chawal his anger would melt away. She quickly served it into a bowl garnishing it with some corriander and put some crushed papad and achaar on the side just like Neil liked it. She set it up on a tray and headed upstairs to find Neil. Neil heard her footsteps and inmediately changed his expression to a Stern face as he stared at the laptop screen.As avni walked in, the aroma of the food hit him and he had a reflex increase in salivation!Avni- Neil, dekho tumhaara fav rajma chawal hai.Neil- grabbed the tray from her like a child and happily gulped down the delicious food. He was so hungry he didn't pause to say a word. Just ate! Avnis rajmachawal was his fav! Truth be told he liked it even more than Bebe's version! But he didn't say it out loud.Avni just stared at him with a happy smile. As he finished eating and finally looked up, he saw avni smiling and smiled back. Then suddenly he remembered his plan and wiped his smile off. Neil- ye lo, hogaya he said handing her the empty trayAvni- Kya hua Neil? Khaana accha nahi bana Kya?Neil- ( in his mind- itna accha bana hai ki I want to kiss the hands that made it!) But aloud he said..thik tha. Avni- oh...she picked up the tray and walked away gloomily.She had been so confident that this would work but she was back to square one.Avni was really panicking. Despite everything that had worked out amazingly between Avneil, avni always had some deep buried insecurities. For the most part she had defeated them but on some days like today when she had already been missing Neil and after having not seen him in close to a month, she was unable to see through her husband's prank. In all her tubelightedness her suppressed insecurities started to resurface again...She was not completely over the fear of losing Neil. Not that she didn't trust him or his love but she was worried about herself. She worried that she wouldn't be good enough, that she shouldn't do anything to disappoint neil- her lifeline, the man who gave her a new lease of life...she was scared that she might inherit her dad's qualities. Her father had loved her mother and her but never made them a priority. He had been unable to convey his feelings into action that would have kept his family safe and happy and avni often worried that she may turn out like her father no matter how much she told herself that she wasn't going to emulate him. After all it was a blood relationship...and avni suddenly felt as if her fears were coming true. If Neil felt neglected and angry , was it because she had failed in her responsibility like her father did? That's what she questioned herself. And she started tearing up.No , no I am not like Ashish Mehta. I am avni Ayesha ..avni Ayesha Neil Khanna. I will not repeat his mistakes she told herself. She wiped her years away and resolved to set things right.

Ok peeps...after reading some super sweet comments from a few of my readers this week I feel like I finally got over mind block today and come up with this update. Thank you guys for a push in the right direction and for motivating me to continue updating.....hope this is not too terrible! 

So prank gone wrong for Neil here! What will avni do? How will she react if she learns that Neil was acting....to know more stay tuned. and I hope that I can get over my block once again to pen the next update too! Until then...please do read this one , vote and comment if you enjoy it! Thanks.
