Wearing the red gown and  her mask she entered her college masquerade party. Avni mehta, the granddaughter of dayavanti mehta and heiress of mehta empire. She sat in the corner and scanned the crowd ,Her gaze fell on him he still looked handsome and attractive  . Their eyes met each other with unknown emotions. She sadly smiled there was a time when they used to read each others eyes but now they are just strangers. Neil khanna, the grandson of Aditya khanna and the love of her life . The mehta and khanna family had age old rivalry from generations for the reason which she did not know  neither he did but as heiress and heir of their respective empire they were supposed to keep this rivalry which would pierce both of their hearts.
He came towards her and asked her for a dance, she forwarded her hands to him for their last dance as from tomorrow they would no longer be the same, they would have to wear a facade of hatred  for the sake of their respective family. They no longer will remain  college students  but the CEO of two established companies from tomorrow.

They looked into each others eyes as the song played. The feelings which were buried deep inside evolved out from their hearts. How can one hid the love they have from the other person. The song played apt to their situation.

It was her first day to the college and she hid her identity so that she does not get advantage of being the granddaughter of dayavanti mehta.
As she entered the college she was ragged by her seniors but she had protested against it. Her fierce nature did not go well with her seniors and she was pushed hardly when he saved her from falling and fought with the seniors.
" thank you " she said to him.
" I'm neil khurrana " he introduced himself forwarding his hands.
" ananya verma " she introduced herself shaking her hands with him and smiled .There begin the friendship which flourished , they knew each other more than they knew themselves but the only thing they did not know was that their real identities which they still hid from everyone . Avni never knew Neil's real surname nor Neil knew that his ananya is avni mehta. They did not realize when their friendship turned to love. When they turned from friends to soul mates.
" ananya I love you. Will you be my life partner? " he confessed looking at her.
She smiled and spoke
" I love you too neil "
They hugged each other as they confessed their love for each other. Whole college were witness for their love. Most of the college couples admired their love.

They were happy in their life with each other and decided to disclose their actual identify to each other but little did they know their family's dreaded past and rivalry. Neil and avni were moving towards each other in the college when avni's grandmother stood in front of her and hugged her.
" how are you avni beta? " asked her grandmother.
Avni looked at her grandma in surprise and hugged her back. She then looked at neil who looked broken. Oh god did he think she betrayed him? She should convince him.
The next moment Neil's grandfather had arrived and done the same but as both their grandparents saw each other , the battle war started it was that time when avni and Neil realized that their family was each others rivals. They were not meant to be or were not supposed to fall in love with each other. They were broken.
Their grandparents went away warning them to stay away from each other not knowing that both their grandchildren had already crossed all the limits by falling in love with each other.
The next two days avni and Neil had avoided each other without any reason. Both of their hearts bleed as they realized they can't do without each other.
" avni I can't leave without you . I don't care about our families rivalry " confessed Neil to avni in the empty classroom of the college.
" I love you neil. Even I don't care about our family's enmity " said avni.
That day neil and avni took a decision to fight for their love against everyone. They decided that they did not do any sin. They have a beautiful feeling towards each other called love only pure love.

" you both can't continue this. Forget about each him " said her mother.
Avni protested against her mother's decision. She excepted her mother to support her .
" I love him mom "
" your love will destroy two families. Do you want to see the blood of both the families flowing because of your love. Please beta forget about him. I don't want your grandma to
kill you " pleaded her mother.
Tears escaped her eyes as she promised her mother to end this relationship.
" Neil I'm sorry we can't continue this. Please understand " she said to him.
He grabbed her hand and spoke
" avni please don't do this. I can't leave without you " he said looking at her.
Her eyes teared up hearing him.
" even I can't Neil but we should for our family. We should sacrifice our love for our family "
She was in tears and broke down. He had kissed her tears.
" I'm ending the commitment between us but I can never stop loving you. I will love you still my last breath avni. I will be only yours till my last breath. No one can take your place in my
heart " he promised her and went away leaving her shattered.
" I love you neil. Avni mehta is only yours still her last breath. I can never stop loving you ever " she mumbled as he left the place.
After Two months their college had organized a masquerade ball for the old students. She had persuaded her dadi to let her go . She wanted to see him and now she was here dancing with him .
She did not know what was written in their destiny and what mistake they had done. Was falling in love was a mistake?

Neil twirled her around making her back hit his chest as he kept both his hands on her waist. His closeness was not doing any good for her . She tried to move from him but he did not let her go away.
He leaned towards her ear and whispered " we are eloping today night. Meet me at the other side of the college "
Avni's eyes widened hearing it. What was he telling?.
" Neil we can't elope like this . Our family will find us and then kill us if we do this" she said.
" do you think I did not think of the consequences I have done . We are eloping far away from this country. Everything is ready and planned. It's your choice to come with me or not. I will wait for you. Come before this party gets over. Our flight is
Tonight " he spoke.
He left her and went away in the party. She stood here, his words still echoing in her ears. She knew if she gets caught  tonight by her family she will die. Where was she surviving without him ? Life looked blank without him. She was ready to die for her love but not without trying to save herself and her love from this hatred and enmity which had engulfed her.

Neil sighed in relief as he saw avni running towards him. He had planned their elopement from two months. He tried to live without her but could not. This enmity and hatred will not let them or their love survive here . The only way to survive was to run away. He was guilty for betraying his family and choosing her but who said love was selfless? He was selfish to be with his love.
They embraced each other in a warm hug for sometime and then took a cab for the airport to start new life away from his hatred. If they get caught they would meet in some other life or place away from this world. If they don't they would move away from this country and never let their families shadow fall on their future.
