I went out. I leaned against the door and replayed the heated conversation with her. 

Reuben whined beside me as I brushed his fur. "Sorry." I told him and stood up. I'd rather go to someone who's waiting for me. 

I had to believe she was waiting for me.

"Jesse?" someone said and I turned, surprised to find a boy."Who-?" I asked and he tipped his head. 

"Sorry... I don't know you." I said sheepishly."Oh... well-"

"I'm Jack and I've seen you around." he held out a hand, which I shook. 

"Cool." Was all I could say. 

Who was he?
