I waited till midnight but he didn't show up.

  Even Olivia and Axel showed up without any explanations. It wasn't until Reuben showed up, whimpering and barking.

  I ignored my father's and brother's warning and went out, running. 

  Following Reuben, I stopped and looked down to see tire tracks near the tree house. I shone my flashlight at the spot and stopped.

  I ran my hands through the leaves and saw loads of shoe prints. And more tire tracks. 

Someone took him. I sat on the leaves and bit my lip, tears in my eyes.  

I found Ivor but lost Jesse.
