What is the Azure Lotus Award?
The Azure Lotus Award is a fantasy-themed writing award hosted by the Yu Hua Garden community. We celebrate the art of fantasy storytelling, encouraging writers to create worlds filled with magic, adventure, and myth.

Who is organising the contest?
The contest is organised by the Yu Hua Garden community, with Elixyzsss personally crafting and overseeing every detail of the event.

What types of stories can I submit?
We are looking for stories where fantasy is the central or significant element. Your tale can include ancient dragons, mystical forests, celestial warriors, or any magical worlds that captivate the imagination.

How long does the contest last?
The contest will unfold over several weeks. We will start judging once we have enough people entered, and the contest will conclude after all stories have been evaluated.

What are the prizes for the winners?
1st Place: Honourable certificate and sticker, votes on all chapters, up to 10 chapters edited, a review, and an optional interview.
2nd Place: Honourable certificate and sticker, votes on 5 chapters, up to 5 chapters edited, and a review.
3rd Place: Honourable certificate and sticker, votes on 3 chapters, up to 3 chapters edited.
Participation Reward: Sticker for all participants.

What languages are accepted for submissions?
Submissions must be in English, Italian, Spanish, Chinese or German.

Can I change my book title or username during the award?
No, please refrain from changing your book title or username during the judging period to avoid any confusion.

What happens if I'm found plagiarising?
Plagiarism is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification from the award and future projects.

What are the responsibilities of the judges?
- They may also participate, but they are not allowed to judge their own book. 
- Judges must evaluate entries based on agreed criteria and ensure fair and unbiased judging.

Can judges request rewards for their role?
Yes, judges will be acknowledged at the end of the contest and can request a certificate for their judging role. They may also receive votes on 5 chapters of one of their books.

What is the judging rubric?
You will be told that upon acceptance as a judge.

Are there any additional rules for participants?
All entries must be original works and remain public throughout the judging period. Attempts at bribery will result in disqualification, and participants are required to permanently follow their judge at the end of the contest.
