Marcus Pov

I was with my friends Vashaun, Kyree  and Charlie who were hanging around the basketball court talking about what they're going to do for this years new change. That's when I heard Charlie spoke up, "So, you wonder if we're ever gonna go back?" 

"Nah, I don't think so. Nina would've told us if she felt like seeing him again." Vashaun said dribbling the basketball before shooting it in the hoop.

"True. I'm more surprised that left North Carolina and moved to Indiana. Jada misses her too and moved away also but not far." Kyree replied.

"What are you guys talking about?" I spoke up.

They stopped and stared at me shocked that I was here listening to they're conversation and Vashaun mumbled profanity words.

"Listen, Marcus you can't tell no one about this after finding out the truth." Charlie said.

"About what? You guys were only talking about Nina and Jada moving away then talking about someone you want to meet again. Who?" I asked getting too suspicious about this conversation outside the school which Kyree cut my thoughts off by grabbing my arm in a tight grasp.

"What we're trying to say is that we can go back in time." He explained.

"What?" I tilted my head.

"He's right. It all started back in 7th grade when Jackson made a time machine for us to travel back in time to meet Michael Jackson and we then became good friends. We've also met some other people as well and until now...." Vashaun paused his explanation and looked over at Charlie who shrugged.

"Is that why I notice you guys have left and no one knew where you were?" I asked as they stared at me and nodded slowly.

"Yes. But now Nina has a key that her grandfather had given her when we were 14 years old." Charlie said.

"Cool. You met him too!? Who else I wanna know!" I begged.

"Shh! This is a secret and not even our other friends or family knows. You have to keep this a secret otherwise we are sued." Kyree said in a serious tone.

"Gotcha. I won't tell no one not even our other friends or family." I promised.

"Thanks." 

"Guys! I have-uh, hey Marcus." Jackson said trying not to let me know about their secret.

"It's okay Jack, he knows." Charlie said.

"What!?" 

"Surprise." I sarcastically said.

"You idiots! He'll probably-"

"Relax. He promised he won't and understands this as well." Vashaun reassured as Jackson grumbled under his breath.

"So? What did you want to tell us?" I asked.

"Well, I guess you wanting to know and everything as well. I received a text from Nina asking if anyone wants to go back and time to visit Michael?" Jackson asked.

"Ditto!" I cheered.

"You want to go? I will have to let her know." Jackson said.

"We do too!" Brandy and Kaleigh exclaimed.

"Wait, they know about this too?" I asked.

"Yeah. Delexus, Jai'Quan, and Amani too." Vashaun added.

That's when a light from the clouds shot down to bring Nina to meet us as she stared at me quite surprise to see me.

"Marcus? What are you doing here?" Nina asked.

"I'm here to go travel through time." I smirked.

"What!? How did you know?" She asked in a demanding tone.

"He was eavesdropping on us and he did said he'll keep it a secret so that no one will know." Vashaun reassured us as Nina sighed gripping her hair.

"So? Who are you bringing with you?" I asked.

"You, Brandy, Kaleigh and Jackson of course. Amani said she isn't coming this time because she has to work. I guess that you three don't either, huh?" 

"Nope." They said.

"Okay, well we'll see you once we get back from visiting him, okay?" She said with a small smile.

"Tell us how Indiana is like first." Kyree said as she went silent and muffled.

"It's not like here that's all I can say." She said.

"So what time line are we going to?" Kaleigh asked.

"1997. We haven't been there in a while so I guess we should experience it too." Nina replied raising her key that lit up to form a portal.

Portal-

"Ready to go?" She asked with a big smile.

"Yeah!" We said.

"Take care and be safe!" Charlie said.

Nina, Kaleigh, Brandy, Jackson and I enter inside of the portal to travel back to 1997 to meet Michael Jackson for the first time in forever! I'm so excited!
