Having a dysfunctional family like the Blossoms, Kaia Blossom wished that she was never born into this one.

Being the youngest in the family of redheads , most never minded her in Riverdale High, the school she went in. They were all Jason this and Cheryl that. No one mentioned a Kaia, nor did anyone even cared to know.

Cheryl and Jason usually hogged all the attention, with Cheryl as the lead of the River Vixens, the school's cheerleaders, and Jason as the captain of the Bulldogs, the football team.

Kaia kept it to herself, most of the time. Her mother usually just gave her a nod, or a small kiss on the forehead if she was in the mood. Her father, a pat on the back, and that's it.

She didn't get along with her siblings either.

Cheryl always complains how physically unfit Kaia looked, as she usually stayed in at Pop's, reading her books. To Kill A Mockingbird was her sensational read, for the weekly period.

Kaia can't help but notice how the people at school also brush her aside, either they don't really see her, judging that she was kinda short and not really attractive, or they did it for fun.

But one day changed it all.

<><><><>

On the 4th of July, Cheryl and her twin, Jason Blossom, otherwise Kaia's two older siblings went rowing on that day. Both wearing white, and looking dazzling, they disappeared in their ride along Sweetwater River.

But what Kaia didn't understand was how Cheryl wound up at the banks alone.

Dilton Doiley and his group of Boy Scouts were just doing their usual routines, when Dilton stumbled upon a drenched from head-to-toe Cheryl Blossom sitting at the river edges.

"Jason." was all she uttered.

The police force were called, and Sheriff Keller was hard at work, but no body was found.

Kaia now stared at the place that has once become one of Jason Blossom's bedroom. Kaia heard the sobs of her sister downstairs, as she entered the room alone.

The isolation made her feel.. better. For someone who just heard of their sibling has perished, or drowned, for this particular matter, Kaia wasn't affected.

She didn't really gave a damn about it. Kaia never liked Jason much. Nor did she like Cheryl either. They just treated her like a third wheel, and like a pet, Kaia followed.

But this time she wasn't allowing that.

Not anymore.

I know it's kinda short, but here's the first! I hope you get kind of a background on what's happening, and those stuff. So, yeah! I'm excited for this book. Vote and comment!
