Being injured

Over the summer coaching session, I had an old injury come back to visit and stick around for nearly a month.  I think the longest I had to sit out was about 45 minutes which is pretty rough.  The routine was simple, of my ankle was bothering me, around the time of jumps, I would ask my teacher if I could go grab an ice pack, I would head downstairs grab an ice pack out of the freezer and head back upstairs.  I would then sit in the back icing my ankle watching the others dance.  Or, sometimes I would have to ask to sit out earlier.  It was uncomfortable and really sad. I want to dance but at the same time, I know that if I dance through the pain, I would make my injury worse and I would go to my physical therapist and he wouldn't let me do pointe for a month again.  He also would likely make me sit out or something else.  Being injured honestly is horrible.  Anyways, have a great day and just keep dancing! ~Mia
