Dry Ice

There I am, on stage standing in my position, waiting for the music to start and ready to get to dancing already.
Then, the drive ice starts.  Now, the dry ice is really neat and I liked it. But it's cold and wet.
Also it actually is really hard to turn or sashay in.  It's like I was trying to but as I pushed my foot foreword, my slightly damp feet have a hard time and I have to use even more force then I should have to.  This is why you rehearse.  So when you do preform there aren't any unpleasant surprises and you know what is going to happen.  Actually while we are on the subject of props, there is a story I can tell you.  When I was Puck there is a point in the ballet when a stagehand lets down a huge flower and inside of the flower is an actually flower I can grab and I then do a grande jeté routine off the stage with it.  I think it was the second show and guess what, the flower wasn't there.  Luckily I had been pretending I had a flower for months in the ballet studio.  So I just shrugged it off and pretended I had a flower and stayed calm.  Until I got off stage. Once I was offstage, I rushed around and found the flower, which was good because the flower was crucial for the next scene.  I had to give it to Oberon and then he would give it back to me and I would basically mess everything up.
Props are very important and in the Nutcracker while I did my dance, a hot air balloon floats over us and during rehearsal, it almost hit one of the girls!  Once again, this is why we rehearse with the props and everything before preforming.  Anyways, as always, have a great day and just keep dancing! ~Mia
