*Patrick's P.O.V.*

"Do you think we're really going to find a new drummer this fast?" Andy asked.

We're already sitting in front of the small stage they arranged for the audition for the drummer position of our band. Andy became the lead guitarist of the band since I have to stop playing the guitar. I had a wrist injury just last month and the doctors said I have to stop playing the guitar or else I could totally lose my hand. So much for a guy that had been countlessly losing his hand in music videos.

"I'm sure a lot of people in the line outside are talented, Andy. That's why we're holding an audition, I bet we're even going to have difficulties in choosing the right one for our band," Pete answered. He's sitting beside me with his feet over the table in front of us.

"As long as he loves pizza and knows how to play the freaking drums...I'm all good," Joe said and we all laughed.

Suddenly my phone rang and I involuntarily grunted, I know it's my grandmother again. Don't get me wrong, okay? I'm not hating on her because she always calls me, no, that's not the reason. My grandmother always wants me to date girls that she recommends.

At first, I'm all good with it, but I noticed that every girl she recommends are all...gold diggers and fame whores. I know that because it's too obvious. I always told her to stop this madness and that I can choose who I want to date, but suddenly it all got worse!

She arranged a fixed marriage for me!

"Wait up," I said to them and picked up the phone. I walked towards the back of the venue to talk to her.

"When are you coming back home, Patrick?" she asked me. I sighed.

"Grandma, I'm still on tour, and I'm not coming back to marry someone I don't even know," I said, I'm trying hard not to raise my voice. Of course, I still respect her.

"She's a wonderful girl, Patrick. You'll love her. Just update me as soon as you can come back to Chicago. Don't worry I'll arrange everything," She said. I was about to speak, but she hung up the phone.

"Goddammit," I said while looking at my phone. Of course, I can run away from this fixed marriage. It's just that I don't know how to...yet.

I walked back to my friends and sat with them again.

"So, how's the marriage going?" Pete teased me.

"Shut up, Pete," I said to him. Pete patted my back.

"I'm kidding. You'll find a way out of that mess, 'Trick. But for now, let the audition begin!" Pete shouted as a go signal to the staff.

After that, the audition went on and on and he was right. All of the people who performs in front of us are really talented. It's sad that we're only letting boys to audition, I would really love to see a girl play the drums, but Pete insisted that we should all just be boys to avoid love conflict among us and somehow I agree with him.

"Can we hire them all as our drummer?" I joked.

"If we only can, I think we really would," Andy said. We're really having too much difficulty in choosing and there are only like nine of them on our list.

"Last person on the list, guys." One of the staff said.

He signaled outside and after a few moments a short guy walked in the stage. He's wearing a simple V-neck shirt, black jeans and a cap. He faced us and smiled and I feel like there's something different about him.

"Are you a really a boy?" Joe suddenly asked and that almost made the three of us fall out of our seats.

"Joe!" I whisper shout at him. "That's rude!"

"What? I'm not sure about it, it's just good to ask him," Joe kept on talking. I'm really amazed how this guy had the guts to say things as such.

I looked at the guy on the stage again and he chuckled.

"I'm a straight guy. But I do get that a lot. A lot of peoppe say I look like a girl," He explained and turn his cap around.

I can now see his face clearly and he's right, he somehow looks like a girl.

"What's your name?" I asked.

Chasi-uhm...I mean...Chase. My name is Chase," He said and he somehow stuttered. He's probably feeling nervous.

"Okay, Chase. Show us what you've got." Andy said and he sat in front of the drums.

The back track of the 'Dance, Dance' was played and Chase began to play and I admit that he's really good...in fact, better than the others. I can see myself in him since he's so passionate in playing the drums and it's so natural for him too. He was even smiling while playing and it looks like music is flowing right through him. I looked at the others and they are all in awe with his performance. He's even mouthing the lyric of the song. After the song ended, he stood up and bowed in front of us with a proud smile.

I honestly got to my feet and clapped and it seems like my action shocked him.

"You are so good!" I said to him as I sat down again.

"Calm down, Stump!" Pete said and we laughed. "Okay, just wait up for our decision. Thank you, and Patrick is right. You're really good!" Pete said to him.

"Thank you. You guys are awesome too, I'm a big fan," He said before going out of the stage.

Something is really different about that guy, but for me, I'm rooting for him to be our new drummer.

Breathe. Breathe. Breathe!

I made Patrick Stump stand up! I impressed him and I didn't even expected that that will happen! I need to chill out or else my fan girl side will explode!

I'm honestly in love with the band and all their songs. I definitely adore all of them, most especially Patrick. Technically, he's the reason why I love to play the drums. It is his favorite instrument and he inspired me to pursue this career and now he's the one impressed with my skills!

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes, letting all the feels go for a while now. I need to focus here because they noticed that I looked like a girl, most especially Joe. But honestly, I almost laughed when he asked me if I'm really a guy, I din't really expect that he'll notice.

"Please proceed to the stage again, the boys already have their decision," One of the staff said then all of us proceeded to the stage again. I noticed that Patrick is staring at me while smiling proudly and that made me really nervous. I wish they picked me since I really got into too much trouble just to pretend that I'm a guy. I don't want those efforts to go in vain.

"Congratulations to all of you. You honestly impressed us all. We know that you'll go far with your talents, just keep on playing as much as you can. You'll all have a place in the music industry. We're sure," Andy said sweetly.

"But, of course, we only have to choose one...the one that we think that can tolerate the three of us, " Joe added playfully.

"We honestly had a difficult time choosing since you guys are all really good, but after some heated discussion...we finally chose one. Patrick, do the honors, " Pete said and he let his best friend talk.

"We choose...the one that played Dance, Dance. Chase, you're the new drummer of our band!" Patrick said.

His words are slowly sinking into my brain. They chose me...the phase two of my simple plan is already done! I got picked as Fall Out Boy's new drummer! But I'm honestly getting confused...I'm somehow happy that I got picked, but a part of me is scared. I'll be lying to these guys big time, and not only to them, but to the whole mass audience.

I don't know if I can keep this white lie up, but then again it should just be easy if I followed the plan. Three more phase and this will all be done.
