That's right, folks—I may have totally missed it, but August 8th was the most epic gardening-related holiday on the calendar! (Or not on the calendar, depending on whether or not your calendar is Really Cool™.)

If any holiday wins the 'Best Name Ever' award, it's probably this one. It's just... so great.

All this to say, if you happen to find the word "zucchini" written on your message board next year, it most definitely, probably, possibly may or may not be from me. 🍆

me: or else it's an aubergine; I do really like alternative words for random vegetables

(When I have my own place, I am totally growing zucchini for the sole purpose of celebrating this holiday. I may not like eating zucchini, but I love the idea of secretly pawning them off on unsuspecting neighbors. It'll be amazing.)
