After few days avni finally reached to shimla...she smiled while tere dar par sanam tune played in the bg...

Avni took out the address which prakash had gave her and showed it to one driver who was waiting for her

After an hour avni reached to her destination and smiled that she will see neil ...after few secs she finally knocked the door couple of times

As the door opened she saw neil rubbing his eyes while a big smile was on her face... neil stopped rubbing his eyes and opened it fully to see avni standing there while avni was controlling her laugh seen the way neil was all still seen her

Avni: what happened mr Khanna she said...her voice full with happiness and laughter

Neil :avni u r really here?

Avni:nope u r just dreaming and imagining me she said.

Neil forwarded his finger and poked her making avni burst out laughing

Avni: Neill y r u finding it so hard to believe

Neil: because it's just hard to digest that u r still here...come here u he said pulling her in for a hug while avni smiled been in his arms

As neil bought her inside he had his hand around her shoulder

Avni: I got an email for my job interview

Neil: y didnt u come with me when u got your job interview details

Avni: neil I would have but I got an email after u had left for shimla hence I told nobody to inform u as I wanted to surprise u

Neil: how sweet he said punching her cheeks lightly with his knuckles

Avni: I know but shall I tell u something?

Neil: what ?

Avni: u need a shower as u smell she said quickly moving his hands away from her shoulder

Neil : that is tru...he stopped realising what she said

Neil: avniiiii come here he said as she made a run and he ran behind her

The apartment was filled with avnis laughter..after few mins neil got hold of her and started to tickle her

Neil: what did u say ... I smell haan he said while avni fell on the couch not able to bear neil tickling her..she was laughing so badly that her stomach was hurting

Avni:acha sorry sorry I was only joking

Neil stopped as she said sorry and sat next to her as both were catching up with their breath

Neil: come I'll show u your room

Avni nodded and both got up... neil showed avni the kitchen and garden area on the way and collected her suitcase which was near the door and headed upstairs and showed avni her room

Neil: freshen up and then we will have breakfast together.

Avni: ok

After 20 mins when avni reached downstairs she saw neil making something in the kitchen and it smelled amazing

Avni: arien wah mr khanna making breakfast haan

Neil: never underestimate neil khanna he said winking which made avni heart beat stop for a sec but she composed herself and walked ahead

Avni: pancakes?

Neil:yup he said as he poured the last batter on the pan

Avni: and u say u dont how to cook

Neil:I can cook basic but not amazing food like u all

Avni: even basic cooking takes an effort ...u should be proud of yourself

Neil: thank u thank u he said bowing

Avni: acha what shall I do to help u with

Neil: u do nothing just go and sit at the table

Avni: but let me help

Neil:- I dont need your help u go I'm coming in few mins

Avni: atleast let me ....but she couldnt continue

Neil : avni gooo he said pointing his fingers at the door

Avni rolled her eyes shaking her head while neil did his bit

Few mins later avni saw neil coming out of the kitchen with a tray in his hand which had pancakes in one plate and coffee

Neil:I'll get the plate wait

Avni nodded and Neil came back with the plates and some syrup and chocolate sauce

Both took some pan cakes and poured their toppings on top along with enjoying their coffee

Neil:by the way when is your interview ?

Avni: after 3 days

Neil: great let's do one thing after your interview we will take a tour of shimla till then u can get things ready for your interview

Avni:that is fine by me

Neil:I was actually planning to take a tour alone but now having u I got company

Avni: see neil I'm such a caring friend

Neil:that u r he said with a big smile

Avni:by the way these pancake is good I love it

Neil:thank u so much and since u loved it take another one he said shoving one more onto her plate

Avni:then u have to take one too while should I eat another one alone

Neil:pancake is love just like my paratha

Avni: yes we all know that she said shaking her head with a smile

Avni:hmm she said digging into her pancake

Neil:- shall we go and see the sunset today I have heard it's amazing over here when u watch it

Avni:completely fine by me we can probably take dinner on the way

Neil:perfect.

Avni:ok I'm done she said finishing her pancake and took a sip of her coffee

Neil:I am too. Acha avni I'm sorry but after a while i have to work for an important presentationa so I'll be on a video call and dont know how long it will take so dont wait for me if I'm late for lunch

Avni nodded when her eyes widened

Neil : what happened?

Avni:i need to call home warna sab ke lecture shuru ...I'll just go and call them she said taking her cup with her but stopped midway

Neil: what happened now ?

Avni: leave the plates I'll do it and I swear to god if u have taken the plates when I'm back then I'll annoy u while u r on a video conference

Neil : stubborn

Avni:- that I am get useto it she said turning and walked up the stairs while neil smiled

Neil took his cup leaving the plates as somewhere he felt avni meant her words which she actually did.

Avni reached to her room placing her cup on the table and grabbed her phone which was on charge

She sat down on the bed as she waited for someone to pick up the call from other side

Neela:hello ?

Avni:mumma it's me avni I have reached to shimla

Neela: bacha we was waiting for your call for a long time have u reached to the apartment?

Avni:maa sorry I thought I'll call u once I reach to the apartment but battery was low and then I was having breakfast abhi just finsh kiya and that is when I remembered.

Neela:its ok bacha dont worry... u get things ready for your interview and dont panic...and before your interview do pray to god that it goes well

Avni:will do maa chalo I'll speak to u later bye

Neela: bye bacha

Avni felt happy she took her cup and headed down taking sips of her coffee...she smiled seen the plates on the table...

Avni took the plates and her empty cup and headed to the kitchen to wash up

After 15 when she was all done she sat on the couch and was switching channels when she found a good movie coming on...she made sure to keep the volume low so that it doesnt disturb Neil

30 mins later neil was coming out of his room and was heading to the study room to start his video confrence when he casually looked down to see avni laying on the couch sleeping while the TV was on... neil smiled and stopped...

He went back to his room and after few mins came down with a blanket ...he bent down making sure to cover her properly when his gaze feel on her face..he smiled seen how she looked adorable while smiling in her sleep...he slowly moved a strand of hair carefully and placed it behind her ears but a phone call disturbed him...he quickly took the phone out of his pocket and answered it not to disturb avni as she is sleeping tired due to the journey..

Neil went far and placed the phone near his ear were his staff was saying "hello" since a long time

Neil:I'm coming he said and ended the call....he walked back to avni and turned off the tv giving her one last look and headed upstairs to start his video confrence.

Few hours later avni woke up...she looked at her surrounds to seee she is somewhere else to realise she is in shimla... avni saw the time and realised it was 3:30pm

She decided to freshen up and then have something to eat... she got up and folded the blanket

As she walked upstairs she stopped near the study room hearing Neil discussing things with his team members...she looked from the door to see him sitting on a chair while talking and how he was rubbing the back of his neck

Avni smiled and went to freshen up... 10 mins later she was in the kitchen... she made some sandwich for herself and coffee for neil..with hus cup she headed upstairs and opened the door carefully... The people on the video confrence was not able to see her as neil was facing in her direction with the table in front of him

As avni neared the table and placed the cup down that is when Neil noticed her and looked up as she gestured towards the cup ...neil gave a nod and blinked his eyes moving forward taking the cup...

Avni started walking towards the door and turned around to see neil take sips of the coffee knowing he will surely feel better after some coffee kicks in..she then headed down and started to eat her food

Once avni was done with her food she saw neil come down

Neil:gosh I'm tired

Avni: there is sandwich in the fridge do u want some ?

Neil: yes please he said rubbing his face

Avni: neil if u want we can postpone seen the sunset today as u look tired

Neil:chill yaar dw I'll be fine after taking a shower

Avni:u done with your conference

Neil: yup done for now will have some more tomorrow before the actual meeting.

Avni: right

Neil : avni we will leave from here around 5pm so that we can collect our food and reach to the sunset point on time

Avni:ok but here eat your sandwich she said forwarding the plate

Neil: thank u...and also thanks for the coffee it was strong and amazing

Avni: u r welcome

Neil: acha do one thing u go and freshen up and get ready till then I'll eat and also freshen up

Avni: ok but tell me one thing where did that blanket come from ?

Neil: my room

Avni: ok she said and headed out

Avni took the blanket and headed to neils room...as she reached inside she smiled as his room had his fragrance...she placed the blanket properly on the bed and left the room

Once neil was done with his food he went to freshen up enjoying taking a shower reducing his tiredness

20 mins later Neil finished having a shower and got ready.

He decided to check on avni and knocked on the door waiting for her to come in

As he heard her "come in" neil went inside

Avni: ready? She said looking at him all freshend up

Neil: yup u ready?

Avni:haan was just checking the camera come let's go she said as she got up taking her phone and bag making sure to wear her coat as it was cold

Both left the apartment and headed to the rented car neil had

They got in and neil turned on the heater as both adjusted their hat properly.

Around 6:00pm avneil reached near the sunset point but before that they went to the small restaurant nearby and got their dinner packed and also bought woods from nearby shop for their campfire/fire pit to stay warm

At 6:20pm They both started walking up and reached to the top where the sunset could be seen properly.

As neil lighted the firecamp/ fire pit...avni was taking their food out of the bag...avni was then taking picture of the view from the top when Neil came in front of her camera posing with a funny expression as she was taking pics

Avni: neillllll move she said giggling and took another pic again

It was 6:43pm as they were still eating their dinner when avnis alarm went off as she had set it few mins earlier before the sunset

She grabbed some wipes wiping her hand while neil also did the same as they wanted to capture the moment on their camera neil was going to take a video on his phone while avni had decided to take pics

Both loved seen the sunset as it looked so near as if they can touch it..

They finally then sat down and continued to have their dinner.

Neil: send me those pics avni

Avni : will do but u also dont forget to send me the video as decide

Neil: I wont he said as he licked his finger

Avni: u know what let me tell u something

Neil : what?

Avni: this was long time ago...me and tina had prom night going on with few bunch of our college friends .... we had attended our prom party for a bit but after that our friends suggested that we go somewhere else to make this prom memorable

Neil:wait so did u guys go with guys for your prom?

Avni: haan but we chose our friends only she said

Neil:ok continue

Avni:- so at that time we decided we will leave early and go and see the sunset... our friends loved pranking everyone and that day their target was bechari tina

Neil: sad he said dramatically while avni punched him playfully while laughing

Avni: acha so what basically happened was we were playing truth and dare over there and tina been tina chose Dare unaware of the prank that was going to be played on her...so the dare was that tina has to eat whatever is given to her but her eyes will be blindfolded... at first tina was given all spicy food but lastly she was given some brownies....tina as usual loves brownies...she especially loved the topping of the brownies....as she took her blindfold off she asked for more brownies when our friends gave it to her but on top was the cockroach which was made out of chocolate which looked real...tina freaked as she hates all types of insect and didnt notice it was choc decoration in a insect shape...when our friends told her that she ate brownies which had cockroach on and Neil I'm telling u the drama tina had done na during that time her expressions were to be seen which was the highlight of the prank she said laughing recalling that day

Neil chuckled able to imagine few bits and pieces

Neil: did tina find out about the dare?

Avni:haan she did with her usual glare

Neil : and I'm sure she must have said "-whatever" he said mimicking tina

Avni nooded as she burst out laughing while Neil joined her

After few sec neil got a question in his head

Neil: acha so I mean after that date of yours during prom night...he couldnt continue as avni interfered

Avni: it wasnt a date he was a friend

Neil: arien whatever it is first hear me out

Avni: ok bolo

Neil: are you seeing someone? ...i mean it seems you are in love...I mean how couldn't you... definitely you will because anyone could fall in love with you...

Avni stopped taking a sip of her drink and looked at neil as she went numb for few seconds...she bit her lips suppressing her loud chest clenching cry gasp

Neil: avni ?

Avni recomposed herself as she stirred her drink with the straw for few sec

Avni:really anyone ! She asked chuckling as she looked at him in the eye this time

Neil: anyone he mumbled as he stared at her intsenly not knowing y.. he imagined what if avni did have someone...he didnt seem to be happy imaging avni been with someone which confused him

Avni looked at Neil.

Avni: Ayushman she said after a while

Neil frowned as he looked at her saying Ayushman.he didn't know y but he felt something shift inside him

Neil: what is he like he said looking at her keenly...

he should be happy but he wasnt as he felt something stir inside him which he wasnt able to figure out but imagining avni with a guy made him uncomfortable somewhere

Avni: uff what shall I say neil ....he is very handsome girls swoon over him.. everyone waits for that one smile of his and when he smiles it just melts our heart

Neil felt restless as avni said that

Neil: is this type of guy real he said trying to sound normal but failed

Avni: ofcourse he is....wait wait wait r u jealous? She said narrowing her eyebrows

Neil flinched at that question as his eyes widened looking at avni

Avni looked at neil

Avni ( in her head) : what are you thinking avni....this cant even be possible...neil loves tina since childhood not you..he would never feel for u that way...dont take it too far she scolded herself in her head

Neil:- what he said looking at her curiously

Avni:I dont think I will like anyone else other than Ayushman khurana.... I'm not tina you know with her koi mr america and all...she said the last bit mimicking tina

Neil felt a relief as avni said ayushman khaurana name but he thought that maybe as a friend he felt protective

Avni: tina loves videsi and I love desi just like my ayushman .

Neil: just to remind u he is already married he said rolling his eyes

Avni stood up as she brushed her Jean's

Avni: not to forget he has two kids as well she said

Neil looked at avni who raised her eyebrows and both burst out laughing

Neil and avni did hi five as he pulled her down.... as they laughed not realising he pulled close to him not realising their face was close to each other

Suddenly both stopped laughing as they realised how close they were... both felt a little awkward and moved away

Avni looked up at neil to see him looking at his watch randomly

To make the situation less awkward she pushed him on the ground and stood up

Avni: one more thing dont think u can blackmail me with this Ayushman khurana topic as guess what ?...everyone knows she said smiling widely

Neil got up

Neil: great l thought maybe I can use this as a weapon to blackmail u but seems like I have to find something else.

Avni: which u will never be able to she said smirking

Neil: is that so

Avni:yes

Neil: dont worry one day I will find something to blackmail u with

Avni: that day will never come

Neil:we shall see

Avni: we will but for now let's go home

Neil:your wish is my command he said bowing

Avni:impressed she said and both chuckled shaking their head ....neil poured water into the campfire and they started walking down to the car to head home

Avneil had reached to the apartment in 20 mins as avni was making sure to capture all the beautiful views that went past her

Neil: lo finally home he said looking at avni who was looking at the pics on her camera

Avni: yess.. it's too cold and I cant wait to have my warm blanket she said looking at him while he chuckled

Neil: let's go he said aa both got out of the car and headed inside as it was nice and warm compared to outside .

Avni: it actually gets pretty cold here later on but it feels good

Neil: weirdo

Avni: not at all u wont understand...chalo I'm going night night she said

Neil: avni suno

Avni: hmm ?

Neil:I'll be making a sandwich for myself do u want some?

Avni: nope I'm not hungary after having that big meal

Neil: ok then good night

Avni: goodnight she said and headed to her room while neil went to the kitchen

After a while

Neil got onto this bed as he laid on his back staring at the ceiling... he recalled how he had reacted by just hearing ayushman name..

Neil: if avni actually had someone would I be happy? Of course I would be as long as she is with the right guy he said but deep down he didnt know y his heart jumped at her just mentioning a name

Neil: besides if any girl takes a guys name then any friend would feel protective about their friend and make sure that their friend is in the right hand so me probably reacting that way wasnt wrong as avni is my friend and we have full rights to get a full background check of the guy

Neil thought of their moments today with avni watching the sunset

Neil: time just flies being with avni... he said smiling but then he sat up

Neil realised he didnt call tina at all today...he grabbed his phone and called her

Meanwhile in avni room .

Avni sat down near the window as she looked outside ...she enjoyed her time with neil but she also recalled how she had joked with Neil about ayushman trying to get a reaction out of him

Avni: I shouldn't have gone too far as I got carried away by this situation created...I can see it in tina eyes that she has feelings for him...I actually feel bad with my overly playfulness with neil which was not needed at all... I'll just avoid spending too much time with him from now inwards ...the more I avoid him the better for all of us...neil and tina love each other and I dont need to invade their space she thought to herself
