❞Good morning, Youngjae.❞ A girl said, tilting from the window out.

❞Good morning, Misook. Be careful to not fall out.❞ he smiled at her and continue with biting his red apple from generous man from the stalls with fruit.

Youngjae was holding a bag full of food and happily biting an apple since it was a long way back home where he lived with his beloved grandmother. Her dark brown hair were now gray, she became smaller so now she barely reached his shoulders, around her big chocolate eyes were wrinkles but her kind words full of love still stayed the same. Youngjae loved his grandmother so much because she was the only person who he's had. His parents died when he was two years old and he barely remember their faces. The only thing he remembered was how his mother sang him lullabies. Her soft voice filled the silence in the house and with her, he knew he was safe. When he was thinking about her, he always had tears in his eyes.

He found his grandmother sitting in the kitchen, drinking a warm cup of tea. She smiled at him when he put his hand on her arms and gently squeezed them. His grandmother didn't feel very well past these days and he was worried since they couldn't efford to pay a doctor so his grandmother's friend was a healer, he garnered all sorts of herbs and cured grandma with them and as a payback, Youngjae sometimes helped him to find out all herbs he needed and often helped him on his farm as well.

❞How are you feeling today, granny?❞ he asked her worriedly and sat down on a chair next to her."

❞It's so much better now, darling. You don't have to worry about me.❞ she told him and he gently grabbed her hand and ran a thumb over her back of the hand.

❞Of course I do have to worry about you, granny. You are the only person I have in this world.❞ he muttered and she smiled.

❞My dear Youngjae, you were and still are my little prince. You always care about others, not about yourself. Your parents would be proud of you.❞ she whispered.

He paused, as if he needed to take a breath but when he wanted to say something, his voice as if it disappeared.

She asked him suddenly: ❞Do you remember the fairytale I was telling you every single night before you went to sleep, Youngjae?❞

❞Of course I do. It's about a prince named Jaebum who fell in love with himself and caused great harm to the kingdom.❞ he answered with a raised eyebrow.

❞I've never told you the end of the story, my dear.❞ she whispered and tugged a silver strand of hair behind her ear.

❞But why now, granny?❞ he asked confusedly.

❞Just listen to me, please.❞ she said. ❞The witch let him live and it has entailed him for example immortality. What I want to say is that the prince - the prince is still alive, Youngjae. He still lives in the castle in the mountains and he doesn't have much time. You have to rescue him, Youngjae. You are the only one who can break the spell without harm.❞ she told him but he immediately got up and went to the window.

❞How can you know that, granny? You told me that it's just a fairytale and fairytales aren't real!❞ he raised his voice and she sadly looked at him.

❞I've always knew you are extraordinary. The way you care about people, the way you look at girls, the way how you look at boys. Maybe I'm old, but I'm not stupid. I told you this story because I knew that once when you'll grow up and become a man who can change the world.❞ she whispered and he looked at her.

❞I'm the only one who survived from the kingdom, Youngjae. I'm the only person who was out the day when it has happened.❞
