Before it all

  AS YOU KNOW, ALL HIS LIFE LUCAS WAS NEVER a people person.There was even a period when he stopped talking to Davina, the time he was confused about himself and his sexuality. It was never pushed on him to be straight but, it was still a weird feeling for him to not be attracted to women, he just didn't know what to do, how to act, or what to feel.

He wasn't afraid people would judge him, the Claire boy didn't have anybody to receive any judgment from. The problem was, he isolated himself from Davina, the only one who cared about him. Without her, there was nobody to tell him that being himself was okay, nobody to support him, and nobody to just hug the boy and tell him that they care.

So, every night like clockwork he would practice his magic. Unlike the other witches, his magic wasn't bound to the ancestors, the little secret he would take to the grave. He settled in at his favorite rooftop location where he could see the entire city and took in the fresh air, this would be the last time for a long time.

"Hey, Lucas." a woman said from behind him, he recognized her as Eva Sinclair, the boy looked up to her husband so, he didn't mind she was watching him practice.

As long as she didn't ask too many questions.

"Hey Miss Sinclair, how are you tonight?" Lucas asked, waving his hand to make the wind speed up slightly.

"I'm doing good, it's just so lovely to see such a gifted young person." she smiled slightly. "How old are you now, Lucas? 15? 16?"

"16 Ma'am, i've been practicing a lot to improve my skills." Lucas turned back to face the city, a mistake he would later regret.

"Perfect." Eva mumbled under her breath before walking over, placing a hand on his arm, and chanting a spell. It caught the boy by complete and utter surprise his eyes widening slightly, and body going into shock.

Before long, he was on the ground and appeared completely and utterly dead.

"You are older than the rest but, you cannot waste power like that." The Sinclair woman laughed maniacally and without even knowing it, she sealed Lucas's fate.

This was really really short but I wanted to show you what happened before everything actually started lmao.

I literally love Josh and he deserves more recognition in my opinion, him, Klaus, and Vincent were the funniest characters in the show.
