Molly's POV: Days had passed since the incident and things seemed to quiet down. Bill still liked to refrain from being seen in public, however as, whenever he was seen, he was either avoided or shunned. It hurt me to see this but, after what he did, he kind-of deserved it.

Bill had apologized to the Pines family separately on my orders. He told me that he didn't need instruction to do so and had told them the honest truth when they opened the door, after receiving a couple slaps across the face from Mabel, of coarse.

Then, there came the apologies to me. Oh, how many there were. Eventually I couldn't take answering to them anymore and grabbed his hands.

"Bill, you've told me a million times! For the last time," I hugged him, "I forgive you." "I know you forgive me but, I still feel wrong. I feel like you need me to keep apologizing." "Why would I need you to do that?" I asked, smiling at him. "I forgive you," I said, giving him a peck on the cheek and walking away.

"W-wait! I-I just feel like that you wanted me to change!" I stopped in my tracks.

Grabbing his hands once more, I looked into his eye. "Bill, I never said I wanted you to change. I just said that I wanted your behavior to change!" I smiled kindly, "Be yourself, no matter what, okay?" "..Okay."

We all have secrets. Some secrets are good, some are bad. But, some things are better left behind closed doors.
