The first thing that you would notice is the fact that it wasn't pitch black under here, and you could hear the roaring from a river that seemed to be flowing as if it were a mini-waterfall. I was bewildered at the the beauty that was hidden deep in the tunnels of this place. I felt as if we had found the heart of the earth as I watch the river sparkle in the light that seemed to be peeking through the old concrete walls. It smelt of rain water, honeysuckle even. And, to be completely honest... I didn't want to leave I just wanted to stay there forever. I shook my head.

"What is this?" I asked Matt curiously. The place seemed to be foreign.

"I'm not sure, but I do know that it is one of the only places I feel as if I can really get away you know?" He was watching me closely as he sat down and traced his hands in the water below. "I know we aren't going to be here forever, but this, this is something I would rather not have to lose." He shook his head as I paced toward him.

"Why is that Matt? There is plenty of places just as beautiful." I wasn't really trying to be rude, just wanted to understand.

Matt reached for my hand so I decided to sit down beside him."Don't say anything Des." He was quiet as he closed his eyes. "Just listen." He whispered ever so softly.

I watched him closely as you could hear the soft roaring from the river. The walls dripped as if water found a way to saturate it too. Matt though, the sight of him was even more breathtaking than the whole place. I smiled as I stared down at his concentrated face. He seemed at peace where he was. It made me feel whole really to see him that happy. As his eyes opened I saw the brightest sapphire eyes shining through the reflection of water. I was definitely blushing as I saw him staring right back at me. "You're beautiful." He whispered in awe.

"I-I" Beginning to mutter Matt cutt me off.

"No talking." He whispered staring at me as he raised his finger to his mouth.

I could feel my heart thudding. My face was a million shades of red as I stared at the floor. Matt wrapped a arm around my waist silently as if trying to soak in the moment.

My heart was doing all sorts of funny things. I wanted him to kiss me, but, I couldn't wait. As I met his eyes he was already staring at me. I then wrapped my arms around him but that wasn't my intention. After I backed away my eyes were still watching him. I had to. I leaned forward and kissed him. I could feel the burning in my chest as I anticipated the worst.

Nothing bad happened he just kissed me back, and we didn't stop there. I felt every inch of my body tingling from his touch. Matt was now hovering over me caging me in from below as he continued to kiss me.I could feel his tongue grazing the bottom part of my lip asking for permission. I was scared but Granted it. Our tongues danced in synchrony as he pinned me from above. I never wanted it to stop. We only broke away to catch our breath before I pulled his lips right back on to mine. It was as if everything that I held in was being released and I knew I had to stop before it got to far but I didn't know how because I just wanted to keep kissing him. 'What if this goes to far? That can't-' I thought in my head frantically .

Matt jerked back for a second watching me carefully.

"Are you okay?" I whispered.

"Yeah, I'm fine."

I scrunched my eye brows together worriedly as I thought about what just happened between us. "You're sure that you are okay?" My eyes met his gaze.

"Des ." His voice was soft as he stared into my eyes. I could feel myself shaking at the thought of him kissing me again, God, why me? Why this? I knew he wasn't right for me. There was no way in the world that it could ever possibly work out between us, but yet every inch of my body craved his touch. He was all that I ever wanted and all that I though I ever needed. "Don't you think we were getting a little, carried away?"

I could feel the heat radiating off my face. " Yeah, I guess you're right." I shook my head uncomfortably while crossing my arms. I then broke away from his gaze. "I-I'm sorry." I muttered as my eyes hit the ground.

"Don't." Matt lifted my chin up to meet his gaze once again. "Des, don't you apologize to me about that." He continued to stare me down which made me feel like a had a fire burning at the backside of my neck.
