Jeremiah holds a press conference in regards to his expedition and announces that he and his scientific team will be charting a course through international waters to reach Svetlogorsk Village in Russia where the discovery was made. He also invites the various media companies to be a part of this unprecedented journey so the entire world can see for themselves that no foul trickery of any nature is involved owing to the various past insinuations and allegations made against him. Scott covering the conference is spellbound to see Angela, his ex-spouse at the conference but keeps mum about his presence. Meanwhile, a group of ruthless mercenaries for hire receives an anonymous call from a mysterious person identifying himself as Mr. Nero for a lucrative deal if they are successfully able to pull off an underwater heist of the century.
