No matter who you are in the world, you probably have been scared of the dark at one point in your life. 

It may have been through not walking around the house at night or sleeping with the lights on. In the case of Elle Hull, it was keeping her feet tucked under the covers of his bed to avoid monsters.

Elle usually slept underneath a blanket when it was warm, and a comforter when the nights were colder. 

They had always been afraid of the dark, ever since his brother told Elle a story of monsters underneath the bed who would grab her feet if she woke up in the middle of the night.

Time had passed and now Elle was of a respectable teenage age where they no longer believed in demons under the bed, but still kept the habit. 

Most people say that the most extraordinary things happen on the most ordinary of nights, and that's what this night was.

It was just after midnight when Elle had woken up to a strange light swirling on the floor of his bedroom.

The light almost looked like a portal, swirling in the colors of white, grey, and black almost like a galaxy.

To Elle's surprise, out of the light came a demon from the stories of their brother. 

"You're going to help me settle a bet."
