"Girl Meets The Tell-Tale-Tot"

The next morning, Josh woke up before Sienna did. He opened his eyes and blinked them a few times, trying to wake up. He looked down to see that the red head was still fast asleep, her head now rested on his chest. He couldn't help but smile a bit as he looked at her. He knew he should probably leave soon, but he couldn't bring himself to get out of the bed. He was comfortable, and he didn't want to wake her up. So, he settled for staying there and running his fingers through her hair. He didn't care if it took her a few more minutes to wake up. It wasn't like they had anything to do today.

It took a few minutes, but Sienna finally started to wake up. Her eyes fluttered open and she let out a small yawn as she lifted her head off his chest and looked over at him. She was a little surprised to see that he was awake, but she wasn't surprised that he was there. She had asked him to stay, and she was glad that he did. She was happy to wake up and see him there. She couldn't help the smile that formed on her lips. "Hey," She said, her voice a bit groggy since she just woke up.

"Hey." Josh smiled at her, continuing to run his fingers through her hair. His smile softened as he watched her relax more, leaning into his touch.

"You stayed." She murmured, closing her eyes.

Josh nods. "You asked me to. How could I say no?" He chuckled.

She laughs softly and snuggles closer to him. "Thank you." She mumbled.

He presses a kiss to her forehead, wrapping an arm around her waist and holding her close. "Of course."

They stay in bed for a little while, cuddling and talking. Eventually, the need to eat got the best of them and they had to leave the warm, cozy bed. They went to the kitchen to find her parents had already left for work. They decided to make some breakfast and watch movies all day. It was a lazy day, but they both needed a lazy day. And honestly, it was perfect.

They sat in front of the TV, eating their breakfast and watching a Disney movie Sienna had picked. After they ate, Josh placed the dishes in the sink and went back over to the couch. He sat beside her and wrapped an arm around her shoulders, letting her snuggle close to him.

"So you excited about getting a response from NYU soon?" Josh asked, glancing at her with curiosity. They both had planned on going to the same college together. They had already applied and were waiting for a response from NYU. They were supposed to receive a letter any day now.

Sienna shrugs. "I guess. I mean, I'm really hoping that I got accepted." She replies. "You too. It would be great if we got into the same college."

"We will. I have a feeling that we both will." Josh reassures her, kissing her head. "Don't worry, okay? I know you'll get accepted. I mean, have you seen your grades?"

"I've seen them. But I'm still nervous." Sienna admits. She was always so worried about things, even the smallest things. It was hard not to be nervous. She had worked hard on her grades. She had always wanted to go to NYU. Now she had a chance to actually go and she didn't want to blow it. "What if something goes wrong and I don't get accepted?"

Josh sighs. "Don't think about that, Sienna. You'll get in. I know you will. We both will." He reassured her as he squeezed her shoulder. "You've worked hard and you've done well. You're one of the smartest people I know."

Sienna looks up at him, giving him a small smile. "Really?" She was surprised.

"Yes." He nods. He smiles back at her. "So stop worrying, okay? You're gonna get in."

Sienna laughs a little. "Okay, okay." She relaxes more against him. "I'll try not to worry too much."

"Good." Josh chuckles, squeezing her shoulder again. "So my buddy at NYU is throwing a party next weekend and invited us to meet some of his friends and hang out if we got in."

"Sounds fun. And big emphasis on if." Sienna murmured and Josh rolled his eyes.

"We're gonna get in, I have no doubt about it." Josh said reassuringly and glances at her, frowning a little at seeing her nervous expression. He's quiet for a moment as he thinks of a way to cheer her up. Then he smiles and stands up, causing her to look at him with confusion. He then walks over to the kitchen and opens the freezer, grabbing her favorite pint of ice cream and two spoons before heading back to the couch.

Sienna watches him, smiling as she realizes what he was doing. She knew he was trying to cheer her up. He was trying to make her feel better. Her heart warmed at the gesture and she laughs softly. "Ice cream and movies?" She asked.

"Ice cream and movies." Josh nods, grinning at her as he sat back down and handed her a spoon. He opened the lid to the ice cream and grabbed the remote, turning on another Disney movie. "I thought maybe you could use a little pick-me-up." He shrugged.

"Aww, thank you, Joshy." Sienna grins, kissing his cheek. "This is just what I needed."

"I know." He smirks, looking over at her and chuckling at her reaction. "Well, we can't let this ice cream go to waste. Let's eat."

So they start eating the ice cream and continue watching movies for the rest of the day. Sienna felt a lot better after that, her nerves and worries slowly melting away. Josh had that effect on her. He always knew how to make her feel better, no matter what. And she was forever grateful for him. For his friendship, for his presence, for him. She wouldn't know what to do without him. She was lucky to have him in her life. And she wouldn't trade him for anything.

****

"Hey, honey. There's a letter for you from New York University!"

Sienna drops the book she was reading when she heard those words her mom said. She has been waiting for her college acceptance letter for a week now and the anticipation was slowly killing her. She decided apply to New York University because she would be close to family and friends.

"Okay, I'm coming!" She put a bookmark in place, closes her book and then takes off running to the kitchen where her parents were at. Her mom, Paisley, was sitting at the counter looking through the mail her husband, Maverick, got the night before. Drinking from the cup of coffee her other hand, she handed Sienna the letter with her free hand when Sienna runs over to her.

From his spot beside his wife, Maverick chuckles at his daughter's antics. "I don't think I ever seen you this excited before in the morning."

"I only got up early 'cause I knew you got the mail last night and I had a feeling my letter from New York University must be in there so that's why I'm up." Sienna explained. She basically radiated excitement as she opened the letter.

Her parents watches with her curiousness and amusement. Sienna skims over the letter, not bothering to read most of it until she got to the point that meant the most to her. "What?!" She exclaims with excitement. A wide grin forms on her face and looks at her parents. "I got in. I got in!" She turned the letter to her parents, showing them where it said she was accepted into New York University.

Paisley laughs a bit, amused by her excitement, and smiles at her. "That's amazing, sweetie."

Maverick pulls his daughter in for side hug and ruffles her hair. "Yeah, we're so proud of you, knucklehead."

Sienna giggles, trying to stop her dad from messing up her hair even more than it already was. "Thank you, guys. I'm gonna go across the hall and tell the Matthews the news. Josh texted me saying he just arrived and had some news too."

Her dad lets go of her, letting her step back and steal two pieces of bacon from his plate. Maverick dramatically gasped when he saw her steal some bacon causing her to giggle a bit. "Oh, and he also said there's a party tonight his friend is having and that his friend would introduce us to some other college kids."

"Alright, we'll probably be gone when you get back, but have fun and be careful. Call us if you need anything." Paisley had got up, now standing beside Sienna, and kissed her forehead.

Sienna smiles and finishes eating the bacon she held. "Okay, and I will. Love you guys."

Her parents say 'i love you' back to her as she makes sure she has an extra key to get back in the apartment, knowing her parents will lock the door when they leave. She walked over to the apartment in front of her, tilting her head to the side when she saw the door was left open.

"Hiya, Matthews!" She greeted, deciding to walk on in, smiling when she sees they were all in the living room, hugging on Josh.

"Sisi!" Auggie exclaimed, running over to her and gives her a hug.

Sienna chuckles and hugs him back. "Hi, buddy."

"I see you got a letter in your hand." Cory noticed while Auggie stepped back, going to stand beside his mom.

Sienna grins and waves her letter around. "Yes, I do. This exact letter happens to be from New York University."

Josh looks at her with a hopeful glint in his eye. "Did you..."

Sienna nods and an excited expression forms on her face. "I got in!"

A relieved sigh escapes Josh's lips and he goes over to hug her. "Great!" He pulls her into a hug. "Now we're going to the same college." He was beyond happy to find out his best friend got in the same college he did. He didn't know what he would do if they didn't go to the same college.

"I'm glad we are. We always wanted to go to the same college." Sienna spoke, not hesitating to hug Josh back. She raised her eyebrows when she felt another pair of arms around her a few seconds later.

"Group hug!" Riley announced as she and everyone else joined in on the hug.

"Okay, I'm starting to feel squished." Auggie commented from his spot between everyone else. Everyone chuckled and pulled away from the hug while Riley and Maya goes back to the door, getting ready to head to school, but stopped when Josh speaks.

Josh turns to Sienna with raised eyebrows. "You still up to go to the party tonight my buddy is having?"

"Yeah," Sienna nods, shrugging her shoulders. "It's not like I got anything better to do."

"When is this little party?" Maya asks, moving to the kitchen with Riley, pretending to act like she didn't care. "Yeah, whatever, hi, I don't care."

Josh exchanges a confused glance with Sienna before they both look at Maya. "Uh, ten, tonight." Josh replied.

"Where is this little party?" Maya questions. "Yeah, whatever, hi, I don't care."

"Greenwhich Hall." Josh answered, looking at Sienna with a confused expression again, silently asking her if she knew why Maya was acting like this. Sienna shrugged in response. She was just as confused about this as he was.

Maya smiles. "Are we smiling?" Riley observes, looking at Maya with a smile of her own. "I'll smile anytime. What are we smiling about?"

"Bay window." Maya hooks her arm with Riley. "Bay window right now."

****

In Riley's room at the bay window, Maya tells Riley that she's going to sneak into that party and Riley couldn't believe that it started at ten. "They're going to be college girls there." Maya said. "They're pretty, and smart. College girls are witches."

Riley shakes her head. "I don't like witches." She furrows her eyebrows, looking at Maya with worry. "Wait, does that mean Sienna's a witch?"

"Oh, no. Sienna's not a witch." Maya replies. She tilts her head as she thinks and then a small smile tugs on her lips. "She's more of a mermaid."

Riley smiles. "Awe, I like mermaids."

Maya sighs, not surprised by this information. "Of course you do."

"Point is, we can't let Josh fall under the college girl's spell, Riley. And this is for Sienna's benefit, too. They're best friends and I know she would be crushed if her best friend is heartbroken by these witches. I'm sneaking out." Maya explained.

Riley goes on to say she will be grounded forever and that she will loose her best friend. She tries to get Maya to not sneak out, but Maya is determined with her plan even though Riley said her conscience would bother her. Maya said she doesn't have one, but Riley told her she's going with her until Maya's conscience shows up.

****

Sienna was excited and nervous for this party tonight. She always gets nervous meeting new people and going to college only knowing one person there will most likely bring a lot of nervousness plus anxiety her way. Luckily, she knows that Josh will always be there for her if she needs someone. And maybe she might even make some new friends. It would be nice to make some more friends her age instead of being friends with middle schoolers.

She now sat on one of the bed's in Josh's friend's dorm room. She was introduced to his friend and they were introduced to four other people. Sienna was sitting on a bean bag chair next to a boy with brown hair. He had brown eyes that seemed to pull her in as if they were magnetic and a charming smile that made her heart skip a beat. He's nice, cute and acts interested in her. So far, she calls this night a winner. She was so nervous when she got there, but when this boy came over to talk to her, some of her nerves melted away.

After conversing with him, she learns his name is Paxton. She learned he's a sophomore, is a bookworm and has a black belt in karate. "Wow. Um, should I be scared or..." Sienna's voice trailed off after he mentioned he had a black belt in karate. She was surprised and impressed. He didn't seem like the type of person who would have a black belt in karate, but he does and now she's intrigued.

Paxton chuckles lightly, shaking his head. "No, you don't have to be scared. Unless I had to use my black belt on someone and you're the only one here that's giving me any trouble." He winks at her, making her cheeks turn pink. He then chuckles a little, finding her reaction cute. "Relax, Sienna. I'm just joking."

"Yeah, okay." Sienna nods, her cheeks still pink. She clears her throat, trying to get the blush off her cheeks, and tries to change the subject. "So, you have a black belt, huh? That's pretty cool. Why'd you want to learn how to fight?" She questioned, genuinely curious. She wondered what inspired him to get his black belt. What made him want to learn how to fight? What caused him to get interested in karate?

"Well, I've been into martial arts since I was little, so that's why. And plus I kinda had anger issues growing up, so karate helped me release the anger. It was either karate or kick boxing and I chose karate." He explained with a soft smile.

Sienna tilts her head, thinking for a moment. "I bet your parents must've loved that." She commented, a hint of humor in her tone. She couldn't imagine a child with anger issues. Then again, everyone has their moments when they get angry.

Paxton laughs and nods his head, agreeing with her. "Yeah, I was quite a handful for them. But my parents and my older sister helped me through it. They were there when I needed them and they still are. I can't thank them enough."

"That's great." Sienna smiles. She was happy that Paxton's parents were there for him when he needed them and she could tell he really cared about his family. "I'm sure they appreciate that. So, what're you studying here at NYU?"

"Well, I'm going for a business major, but I'm also studying art." He replied, causing Sienna to raise her eyebrows. She did not expect that.

"You study art?" She asked curiously.

"Yep. I love drawing and painting. Art has always been a passion of mine. I'm going for a business major because my parents thought it would be the smartest choice, but I've always had a dream to become an artist." He explained.

"Wow, that's cool." Sienna grins. She was fascinated and intrigued by the fact that he's an art nerd. She herself likes drawing and painting, but never tried pursuing an art career. "I would love to see some of your work someday."

Paxton chuckles and looks at her with a small smile. "Well, maybe we'll have to hang out sometime and you can see some of my work."

"That sounds good." Sienna nods, smiling at him. Then an idea comes to her mind and she takes out her phone. "Can I get your number?" She asks, biting her lower lip as her nerves and worry fills her. "Or if not that's fine... I don't want to make things awkward." She was beginning to ramble. She was worried she made things awkward.

Paxton chuckles, shaking his head, and grabs her phone. He saves his number into her phone and hands her phone back. "Relax. You're not making things awkward. I don't mind giving you my number. Only if you give me yours in return."

Sienna relaxes and lets out a sigh of relief, nodding her head. "Oh, okay. Good. Thank you." She then smiles at him and types her number into his phone, giving it back to him when she's done. "Sorry, I was just worried."

"No need to apologize." Paxton reassured her, smiling softly at her. The smile on his face grew a bit bigger when he noticed her cheeks turn a light shade of pink and butterflies warmed in his stomach at seeing her shy smile.

"I told you guys." Andrew, Josh's friend, speaks up, smiling at Sienna and Josh. "Nothing to worry about at all."

"Yeah." Sienna smiles. "Thanks for inviting us." She had been nervous about going, but now she was glad she was there. She glanced over at Paxton, locking eyes with him and sharing a smile. Her heart fluttered in her chest when their eyes locked.

Andrew nods. "No problem. It was great meeting you, by the way. I'm surprised you still handle Josh." He joked, teasingly nudging Josh with his elbow.

"Hey, I'm not that bad." Josh protested, crossing his arms over his chest and playfully glared at Andrew.

Sienna giggles a bit, looking at Andrew and shrugging her shoulders. "Eh, sometimes."

Josh gasps dramatically and puts a hand over his heart. "Ouch." He said sarcastically. "How could you do this to me?"

Sienna rolls her eyes and laughs, playfully nudging his arm. "I'm kidding, Joshy. You're a delight to be around." She added with a chuckle.

"That's better." Josh grinned, his expression turning smug.

Andrew chuckles. "You two are going to fit right in here."

"Yeah, you got new friends already." Jasmine, the girl beside Josh, spoke with a smile.

"And you two know each other, not a lot of people going to college knows someone there." Paxton chimes in. "So, that's a plus."

Sienna smiles and looks at him, her stomach filling with butterflies again when their eyes lock. "Yeah, that is a plus." Paxton sent her a soft smile in return which caused her heart to flutter.

"Yep, and a new life is waiting as soon as you get here." Jasmine continued.

Sienna smiled, feeling a lot better about college and thinks this was a start to a great friendship with these people. Sienna looked at the open door when she hears footsteps walk in. Her eyes grew wide when she sees Riley and Maya. She glanced over at Josh, both staring at each other with shocked and confused faces. They had no idea the girls had planned to sneak out or why they were there.

"Maya, Riley?" Josh stood up, looking at the girls with wide eyes.

"What are you two doing here?" Sienna chimed in, looking at the two young girls with furrowed eyebrows.

Paxton raises an eyebrow, looking at her and Josh. "You guys know them?"

"Yeah." Sienna replies. "But they shouldn't be here." She added, sending the two girls a stern look which caused Riley to look at her sheepishly and Maya to keep her gaze down.

Andrew stands up and looks at Riley and Maya with a smile. "How are you doing?"

"We're in middle school." Maya responded.

Andrew's eyes widened, steps back while pushing Josh towards them. "Oh!" He grimaces. "Josh, Sienna, they can't be here."

"Yeah, we know that." Sienna nodded.

Josh looks at his niece and shakes his head. "Riley, what are you thinking? You have to go."

"You're right, Josh." Maya nods, looking at him and Sienna with an apologetic expression. "We're sorry. This was a bad idea."

"Wait." Jasmine stops Riley and Maya from leaving as she gets up from the bed. She pushes Josh out of the way, walking over to the two girls. "Intrigued." Sienna furrowed her eyebrows, confusion filling her as she watched Jasmine walk over to Maya and Riley.

Josh sits on the bed behind him while Andrew sits next to him. "Maya, what was your bad idea?" Jasmine inquired.

Maya hesitates to reply but does eventually replies to her. "He's her uncle. I call him Uncle Boing," She points at Josh. "Because look at him."

Sienna tilts her head to the side, starting to think that this little crush Maya has on her best friend might actually be a real thing. "She made me sneak out a window to come here." Riley explains. "That's how much she likes him. Because she was afraid that you guys were witches, and that you would steal him from her."

Josh buried his face in his hands while Maya looks at Riley. "They're not witches, Riley." Maya said to the brunette-haired girl. "They're girls who don't live at home anymore and know a lot more than we do."

"Sorry we interrupted your evening." Riley apologized, turning to leave with Maya.

"Oh," Charlotte speaks up, stopping the girls from leaving. "I think our evening has just begun."

"Wait, what?" Sienna questioned, confused at what was happening. She grew more confused when some Gamma Gamma Girls (Gamma Gamma Girls is a club at the college) ran by and the lead girl walked into the room.

"Initiation!" She exclaimed to Riley, who screamed with excitement.

The girl puts a pink sleep mask over Riley's eyes, beginning to guide her out of the room. Sienna looks at Josh with worried and confused eyes. "Alright. Bring her back." Josh stood up and walked out of the room to get his niece back from the girls.

The girl that was in front of the Gamma Gamma Girls stayed behind, staring at Andrew with shock. "Andrew?"

Andrew's eyes widen, looking like he was busted. The girl furrows her eyebrows together with confusion. "You told me you died."

"I did." Andrew nods, standing up. "I am." He walks over to her, whispering, "Don't forget me."

He walks out of the room as the girl tilts her head to the side, muttering, "They all die."

Sienna couldn't help the small amused smile that formed on her lips as she watched this interaction. She was still confused with what was going on, but found it entertaining nonetheless. The girl soon left the room and Paxton then stands up. "Well, I guess it's my cue to leave. Sienna, it was great meeting you and Josh," He adds, smiling softly at her. "I hope we can hang out sometime."

Sienna nods and sends him a soft smile, her heart fluttering at his words and the look he gave her. "Yeah, I'd love to." She replies. Paxton nods smiling a bit, before leaving the room. "I'm guessing you guys want to talk to Maya alone?" Sienna stood up, turning to the girls with raised eyebrows.

"Nope, I sense this involves you as well." Jasmine responds, gesturing her over and pats the place on the bed beside her. "Sit."

Sienna looks at her with confusion but goes over to her and sits down. "So, how long have you had a crush on him?" Charlotte asked Maya.

"It's not a crush. It isn't." Maya shakes her head. She shrugs. "Maybe I'm not as old as you guys, but I know what I feel."

"How about you?" Jasmine questioned, nudging Sienna and looking at her with a smile.

Sienna looks at her with wide eyes. "Me?" She mentally scolds herself when her face started to heat up. "I-I don't have a crush on Josh. He's my best friend."

"Best friend? Or 'best friend'?" Charlotte inquired her, using air quotations the second time she said best friend.

"What's the difference?" Sienna furrowed her eyebrows, wondering why she was being interrogated. She thought they were only going to talk to Maya. Why did she have to be included?

"One is where you're best friends, always there for each other, platonic type of best friends. The other is where it's either an unrequited kind of love or both of you have feelings and are too scared to tell each other 'cause of your friendship." Jasmine explained.

"We're definitely the first one." Sienna responded to Charlotte, but Jasmine and Charlotte didn't seem convinced.

"That's not what you told Riley." Maya chimes in. After seeing the confused look on her face, the blonde adds, "She told me about it. We tell each other everything." She shrugs and Sienna nods in understanding. "And we can see how you look at him." Maya said softly. "You look at him like how I do, but with more...Adoration. More love." Sienna couldn't help the blush that formed on her cheeks. She did look at Josh with adoration and love, but didn't realize anyone caught her staring.

"Do you want my advice?" Jasmine asked her, causing her to look at her.

Sienna looks at her and sighs. "You're going to give it whether I say yes or not, aren't you?"

Jasmine chuckles and nods. "Yes, I will." She pauses. "I know it can be hard, especially with the fear of ruining the friendship. But you'll never know until you try." She gives her a small smile. "And if it doesn't work out, I have a feeling you two would always have each other in your life. But I also have a feeling when you get together you'll stay together for the rest of your lives. You guys seem like the type of couple that would last forever."

Sienna isn't sure its possible if she could blush anymore at hearing that. Her heart fluttered and her stomach filled with butterflies at the thought of her and Josh staying together forever. She had no doubt about it. She wanted that, more than anything. But, would he want that? Would he want a relationship with her?

"I also have a feeling Josh feels the same." Charlotte chimes in, smirking. "You should've seen him staring at you. He looked like a lovestruck puppy."

Sienna rolls her eyes, a smile forming on her lips. "Shut up." She says playfully, causing Charlotte and Jasmine to giggle. She then turns to Maya, tilting her head to the side and giving her a soft look. "Maya, I gotta admit what you did was really brave for coming here, planning to tell your crush you like them. I would've never had the guts to do that. Heck, I don't even have the guts to confess my feelings. And you're just fourteen. So, I really admire you. Not a lot of teenagers have that much courage. So, you shouldn't be ashamed of it. Even if things don't turn out the way you want it, you took a chance and tried. And that's all that matters."

"You're right." Maya nods, a small smile forming on her lips. She couldn't help but look at her with admiration. She was glad she had her there to support her. "Thank you, Sienna."

Sienna smiles, wrapping an arm around her shoulders and pulling her into a side hug. "You're welcome."

"Maya, I've never done anything like what you're doing." Charlotte told the blonde.

Jasmine nods in agreement. "Yeah, It makes you pretty grown-up to me."

"I just thought if I did something like this, that he might me seriously and then maybe we could come to some kind of understanding." Maya admitted.

"We have an understanding."

Sienna looks up and over to the door to see Josh was back with Riley and Andrew was also with them. "I stay here, you go home."

Sienna pulls away from Maya as Charlotte and Jasmine speak in unison. "Sit down." They demanded and he listened, looking a bit nervous.

"Okay." Josh chuckled nervously, fixing his beanie on his head as he moved to sit on the other bed next to Andrew.

"I'm just stupid, right?" Maya questioned with a sigh. Sienna frowned, shaking her head and sending her a sympathetic look.

"Hey. I would've loved if somebody did something stupid for me." Andrew replied with a small smile.

"Yeah," Jasmine agrees. "It's not the big gestures that we do for other people that help us grow up."

"But the small choices you make for yourself." Charlotte added.

"Ohh." Riley speaks as a look of realization forms on her face. "Maya told you about her crush."

"It's not a crush." Maya quickly denied, standing up, and moved over to her best friend.

"Maya, can you name one thing you know about him that you love?" Riley asked her.

Maya smiles. "He's part of your family, Riley. I love your family."

Riley nods. "And we love you. What about Josh in particular?"

"Yeah, Maya." Josh shakes his head. "You don't even really know me."

"Yeah, you're right." Maya turns to him. "I don't pay attention to anything you do. I don't know that you drive from Philadelphia to New York, not even looking if you got into NYU just so you could open your acceptance letter in front of your older brother because you love him, and you want him to be proud of you. I don't know that you care so much about Sienna and would do anything for her."

Sienna tilts her head to the side, and looks at Maya with surprise, not realizing that Maya knew this much about Josh. She glances at Josh, seeing Josh is surprised at hearing this. Maya continues to speak. "And I see the way you are with Auggie. A little kid who looks up to you who you always have time for. And I know that even though you'd rather stay here with these girls, you're going to take Riley and me home. Because that's just the kind of guy you are. I like you." Maya confesses with a soft look on her face. "But I also know that you'll never feel the same way, and I'll eventually learn to accept that because you're meant to be with someone else. Someone who's gonna be perfect for you. Just promise me when you realize the perfect one for you has been right in front of you all along that you won't waste time and you'll go after her."

"Okay, I promise." Josh nodded, taking in her words. He was still shocked at hearing Maya knows a lot more about him than he thought she did. He was also surprised she thinks he'll end up with someone else, someone who was apparently right in front of him all along. But he will promise once he finds the one for him he'll go after her and not waste any time.

Sienna smiled softly at what Maya said. She figured this must be hard for her, to put herself out there and accept the fact her crush won't feel the same. Sienna somewhat knows what it's like. She was afraid of putting herself out there because of the rejection she'll face. But she's glad Maya is able to get herself out there. She was very brave for doing it. Sienna's sure Maya will find someone, the perfect one for her. She had no doubt about that. She was confused and wondered who Maya was talking about. But when the blonde looked at her after she finished speaking, her eyes widen slightly as she realized Maya had meant her. Her stomach fills with butterflies and her heart flutters. Was that true? Did Maya think she was the one for Josh? Sienna's not sure if she is. She wants to be the perfect one for him, more than anything. But, would she end up being the one he ends up with and not waste any time to start a relationship? The thought made her giddy and gave her hope.

"Okay, as interesting as this has been," Josh starts as he stands up with a clap and laughs awkwardly. "It's time to head home." He said, looking at his niece, Maya and Sienna.

"Oh, you're leaving?" Jasmine looked at him with amusement while he stood.

Josh nods. "I'm gonna walk them home." He replied, locking eyes with Sienna as he shared a smile with her. They walk out of the dorm together after Maya and Riley walked out.

****

"So, how was the party?" Maverick asked Sienna the next day at dinner.

"It was interesting." Sienna replies, eating the slice of pizza she took from the box on the middle of the table. She wasn't for sure if she should tell them about Riley and Maya showing up since she didn't know if their parents knew so she decided not to mention it. It wasn't their problem anyway. "But I did make some new friends."

Paisley smiles. "That's great. I'm really glad you're putting yourself out there." She told her, knowing that Sienna's not really sociable.

"Yeah," Sienna smiles. "Me too."

At the end of the day, she was glad she had went to the party. She had met some great people, even got a cute college boy's number (even if nothing was going to happen), and had fun. But that night as she got ready for bed, she knew that she needed to tell Josh about her feelings soon. She wanted to, she was just afraid of losing her best friend. But after what happened at the party, she knew she needed to tell him. Because who knows? Maybe he did feel the same and was just afraid to tell her. She's not for sure, but she'll never know unless she tries. So, tomorrow she was going to tell him how she felt. And she just hoped she wouldn't regret it.

A/N decided to change the whole maya had a crush on josh thing! found it weird how jasmine & charlotte seemed okay with it so i changed it up & i honestly like how it turned out to be
