Charlotte's POV

It's just so hard to open my eyes, I don't even know.. I mean WHAT'S HAPPENING?! I am just feeling dizzy or sleepy.. it's painful.. ugh, I wanna sleep!

But I am just starting to remember the events..

Wait...

I had an operation! Yeah, where are my babies?! I need to open these eyes now!

I literally forced my eyes and 'mind' to open and get to work. I need to know the scenario.

As I opened my eyes slowly, the blurry vision gets clear slowly. I can hear the slow murmurs. As I see, the first person is a.. girl.. with a baby in her hand. She is looking at the baby, playing. She is.. pretty. But I can't recognise her?! Is that baby..? Is that baby mine..?!

"My.. My baby.." I tried to say to that girl in front of me.
Her eyes met mine and she smiled.

"Charlotte. You are awake finally." I am looking at her... confused. She speaks again. "Okay.. I got it! You didn't recognised me, did you?" She chuckled. "I am Alice, Charlotte. Remember Ethan's friend? We talked."

And then it clicked! She is Alice! and.. she is gorgeous.
Just then before I could say something..

"Ali.. you wanna go and eat something?" Saying this came Ethan into the room. Another baby in his arms.
Alice turned towards him, and as he came closer to the bed he grinned. He came closer towards me. "Char! You're up?! It's been hours waiting." He came and helped me sitting as I was obviously trying really hard! He sat beside me and smiled showing me the baby in his arms.

I immediately put my hands forward to have my baby. Happy tears pours into my eyes as I look at this beautiful baby.. my beautiful baby.

"This is our boy." Ethan softly said smiling as he rubs his hand on his forehead.

I looked at the baby.. then at Ethan and then back at the baby.

As I was busy admiring my baby boy.. I don't know when Ethan went and picked up the other one from it's place.

"The other one.." He said smiling. I smiled back. Exchanging the other baby with him.

It's my other boy.. he has gotten my eyes. I don't even know when are my tears gonna stop today! I hugged my baby.

"And the last one mumma!" Came Alice forward with my third baby in her hands.

I again exchanged the two babies with her.

She is my girl. Again those blue eyes! But.. she is blonde. She is beautiful. As I play with her fingers, she smiles just like both of her brothers .

"Okay it's been long.. give my princess back to me" said Ethan. I chuckled after seeing his desperate expressions to have our baby girl back in his arms.

Putting the boy in the cradle, he took the girl from me, even Alice went and put the other baby in the cradle.

"Char we are going for sometime, Alice has been here with me since pretty long and I think I should just go and drop her now. So I'll comeback in a little while okay?" Ethan said to me and then kept the girl in her cradle.

I nodded to him and then Alice came and hugged me.. "Congratulations Charlotte. Take care" she smiled after pulling back from me.

"Thank you" I replied.
Then they went out of the door.

I wanted him to not go. I needed him. I wanted to talk to him about everything! About this time and emotions which only he and I have common right now.
But it was necessary to go. Right?

Before operation, I wanted to see him first, talk to him first, wanted him to assure me that everything IS going to be fine. That babies are going to be okay, that I am going to be okay. That he is there for us.
But it's not his fault.. he didn't know. Right?

I came out of my thoughts when the door opened again and my family came inside. Everyone, my mom, dad, joe, my younger brother, Ethan's father and mother and his younger sister Elle.

"Congratulations Charlotte!!! I am sooooo happy!" Came Elle and hugged me tightly. I smiled at her, she is the sweetest and my favourite, always the excited one.

"I am going to shopping right from here girl! Not only one, these are THREE! It's gonna take time for their gifts." She laughed making me laugh along with her.

"Congratulations Charrie.." came my mom and hugged me. "You are a mother now!" She said grinning as she pulled back. I nodded at her smiling, tears breaming in my eyes and then looked over to the babies in the cradle.

Then the next hour went like this.. they all Congratulated me, saw the babies one by one and in the mean time came doctor just to check everything.

"Mrs. Hayden I would like to know the names you have decided for your babies, I would just say them to make their birth certificates then." She said after checking me up.

We have thought about the names but Ethan should be here for it. I mean this is not about only me. This is about our babies, his babies. "Doctor, if you don't mind.. can we get a little time. Once Ethan is here.." I trailed off. She nodded at me in the understanding way.

"It's Okay. Sure." She smiled patting at my shoulder. I don't know why she had that look in her eyes, like one of sympathy! I mean.. yeah she saw how I really wanted to wait for him at the time of operation but he didn't come, and I am waiting for him now.. again. But it's okay! It happens.. it isn't like he doesn't want to be here... does he?

I pushed all the rubbish thoughts at the back of my mind and turned towards my mother-in-law on the couch with one of the baby boy in her arms. She stood and came towards me, "here" she said while giving the baby to me.
"Ethan will be here soon.." she said lightly pressing my arm, I looked up into her eyes and she smiled, I smiled back and nodded.

"I love you" I whispered hugging my baby.
