Welcome fabulous readers! I'm excited to get started on this book and have you all discover your Houses. Before you say anything, no I don't mean the Harry Potter Houses. The Houses in my story are similar in some aspects, but they are completely different in others. These Houses are a huge part of the story, I can't tell you how since it will give away spoilers and some of the plot from the book.

Just a few disclaimers before we move any further with this story. This book will contain some inappropriate language, violence, and mild to severe abuse scenes. I will let you know when the abuse scenes will appear if you do not want to see it. As for the traits listed for the House, I'm not in any way saying that your House defines you or that this is how you should act. The information listed below is for the intents and purposes of my book and this is what I have based it on. I do not claim ownership of the information. My information may also not be 100% accurate so if you disagree with any of it feel free to leave a comment below, but please don't be a bitch about it. Also, let me know if you see any errors throughout the chapter. I will have a couple of editors go through this book and fix them for me, in the future. So sorry for any errors. 

Also, this chapter is just a sneak peek into what this story has in store. I will be uploading the prologue sometime after this chapter. The rest of the story will be uploaded after I finish writing at least most of it.

The House of the Leader:
April 19- May 13

Those in the House of the Leader tend to be more energetic and active than most of the other Houses. They have a constant need for dynamic, speed, and competition. They always want to be the first in everything-- from work to social gatherings. It is in their nature to take action, sometimes before they think about it well. 

Strengths: Courageous, determined, confident, enthusiastic, optimistic, honest, and passionate. 

Weaknesses: Impatient, moody, short-tempered, impulsive, and aggressive.

Rulers of: Mars

Element: Fire

The House of the Sensual: 
May 14- June 21

Those who are in the House of the Sensual are well-grounded and tactile. They always feel the need to be surrounded by love and beauty. They are considered the most reliable of the Houses.

Strengths: Reliable, patient, practical, devoted, responsible, and stable.

Weaknesses: Stubborn, possessive, and uncompromising.

Rulers of: Venus

Element: Earth

The House of the Twins:
June 22- July 20

Those in the House of the Twins are expressive and quick-witted. They usually represent two different personalities in one. They can be fun and sociable with a tendency to quickly get thoughtful, restless, and serious. They are fascinated by the world itself, extremely curious, with a constant feeling that there is not enough time to experience everything.

Strengths: Gentle, affectionate, curious, adaptable, ability to learn quickly, and exchange ideas. 

Weaknesses: Nervous, inconsistent, and indecisive.

Rulers of: Mercury.

Element: Air

The House of the Loyal:
July 21- August 10

Those in the House of the Loyal are deeply intuitive and sentimental. They can be one of the most challenging Houses to get to know. They are guided by their emotions and they care deeply about matters of the family and their home. They are attached to the people they keep close. They are also able to empathize with other people's pain and suffering.

Strengths: Tenacious, highly imaginative, loyal, emotional, sympathetic, and persuasive. 

Weaknesses: Moody, pessimistic, suspicious, manipulative, and insecure.

Rulers of: the Moon

Element: Water

The House of the Prideful:
August 11- September 18

Those in the House of the Prideful are natural-born leaders. They are dramatic, self-confident, dominant, and extremely difficult to resist. They are able to achieve anything they want to in any area of life they commit too. They have an affinity to be in love with life and have a good time throughout life. They can strive to be the center of attention at any event they are able to.

Strengths: Creative, passionate, generous, warm-hearted, cheerful, and humorous.

Weaknesses: Arrogant, stubborn, self-centered, lazy, and inflexible. 

Ruler of: The Sun

Element: Fire

The House of the Pure: 

September 17- October 30

Those in the House of the Pure always notice the smallest details and their deep sense of humanity makes them one of the most careful Houses. They have a methodical approach to life, which leaves nothing to chance. They are often tender, but their hearts might be closed of to the world. They are often misunderstood due to their inability to accept their feelings as valid or true when opposed to reason.

Strengths: Loyal, analytical, kind, hardworking, and practical. 

Weaknesses: Shyness, worry, overly critical of self and others, and all work and no play. 

Ruler of: Mercury

Element: Earth

The House of the Peacekeeper:
October 31- November 23

Those in the House of the Peacekeeper are peaceful, fair, and they hate being alone. Partnership is important to them. They are fascinated by balance and symmetry. They are in a constant chase for justice and equality. They try anything to avoid conflict and keeping the peace wherever they go. 

Strengths: Cooperative, diplomatic, gracious, fair-minded, and social. 

Weaknesses: Indecisive, avoids confrontations, will carry a grudge, and self-pity. 

Ruler of: Venus.

Element: Air.

The House of the Malicious:

November 24- November 29

Those in the House of the Malicious are passionate and assertive. They are determined and decisive. They will research until they find the truth. They are also aware of a situation and they promptly exhibit their resourcefulness. They are emotional as other Houses but they express them in very different ways. They are great secret keepers, no matter what it may be. 

Strengths: Resourceful, brave, passionate, stubborn, and a true friend. 

Weaknesses: Distrusting, jealous, secretive, and violent. 

Ruler of: Pluto and Mars.

Element: Water.

The House of the Healer:

November 30- December 17

Those in the House of the Healer tend to be extremely curious, passionate, and jealous. They are always in pursuit of knowledge and wisdom. Other Houses can be envious of the progress that they make in life. They can also have an explosive temper, be secretive, and egotistical. 

Strengths: Embraces change, independent, eccentric, intellectual, passionate, creative, and empathetic.

Weaknesses: Jealous, judgemental, critical, irresponsible, violent, and short-tempered.

Ruler of: Chiron

The House of the Archer:

December 18- January 20

Those who are in the House of the Archer are naturally curious and energetic. They are the biggest travelers out of all the Houses. Their open-mindedness and philosophical views motivate them to wander around the world in search of meaning of life. They are extroverts, optimistic, and enthusiastic. They will do anything to achieve their goals when they put their mind to it. 

Strengths: Generous, idealistic, great sense of humor.

Weaknesses: Promises more than one can deliver, impatient, unfiltered speech. 

Ruler Of: Jupiter.

Element: Fire.

The House of the Wise:

January 21- February 16

Those who are in the House of the Wise tend to be traditional and very serious by nature. They possess a significant sense of independence that enables progress throughout their personal or professional lives. They have mastered self-control, and have the ability to lead the way with realistic and solid plans. They are careful to learn from their mistakes and get to the top solely based on their experience and expertise. 

Strengths: Responsible, disciplined, self-control, and good manners. 

Weaknesses: Know-it-all, unforgiving, condescending, expecting the worst. 

Ruler of: Saturn

Element: Earth

The House of the Calm: 

February 17- March 11

Those in the House of the Calm are shy and quiet, they can also be eccentric and energetic. They tend to be deep thinkers and highly intellectual people who love to help others. Although they easily adapt to the energy around them, they savor spending time alone and away from everything. They often look at the world as a place full of opportunities. 

Strengths: Progressive, original, independent, and humanitarian. 

Weaknesses: Runs from emotional expression, temperamental, uncompromising, and aloof

Ruler of: Uranus and Saturn

Element: Air.

The House of the Empath:

March 12- April 18

Those who are in the House of the Empath are polite, affable, frivolous, and innovative. They are also very friendly and are often surrounded by the company of many other people. They are selfless and are always willing to help others, without hoping to get anything in return. 

Strengths: Compassionate, artistic, intuitive, gentle, wise, and musical. 

Weaknesses: Fearful, over-trusting, sad, desire to escape reality, and can be a victim or a martyr. 

Ruler of: Neptune and Jupiter

Element: Water.
