You requested angst, so I hope I did okay. In my original stories I am a 'cruel human being who enjoys fucking up the lives of her characters,' but when it comes to fan fiction I mostly feel bad about upsetting the characters 😔.

Anyways, this isn't relationship cheating, so don't worry about that.

Enjoy!!

You stood there, numb, barely able to comprehend your boyfriend's admission, his words ringing in your ears, swirling around your head in a taunting halo.

'I cheated.'

"Get out!" Your older brother's snarl broke through your reverie, the harsh venom that dripped from his tone a startlingly sharp contract from his usual zen attitude.

Not that you could blame him of course for being angry, he had every right after all. You had been pleasantly surprised to see Daigo that morning, not having expected to see him for another few days. To your confusion however, it wasn't you who Daigo was there to see, instead it was your brother, Yugo.

The whole scenario had struck you as odd right from the start.

A day ago, your brother and your boyfriend had competed in a battle to see who would make it through to the next round. Admittedly, you had been torn about who to cheer for.

In the end, Daigo had come out on top, while Yugo had fallen short all thanks to a failed launch. That in itself had seemed off to you, that your oh so meticulous older sibling had messed up something so simple. Afterwards you had shrugged it off and settled for sharing a victory sandwhich and then consoling your down trodded sibling.

But minutes earlier, now much to your horror, you had walked into the dojo to see Daigo standing in front of Yugo, hands in his pockets, shame written all over his features. And then, you happened to catch the tail end of Daigo's admission.

At first you had felt physically sick, not daring to believe the notion that he had cheated on you.

'You cheated on me?' The words felt foreign as they escaped your lips.

'Y/N?' Daigo spun around to face you, wide eyed and pale faced as he raised his hands in a placating manner. 'No, I didn't cheat, not on you.'

You allowed yourself to relax just a fraction, sincerely doubting that Daigo would still be standing in front of Yugo had he been lying, but a part of you was still on edge. If Daigo had cheated on you, there was only one other thing he could have cheated on.

'The battle then?' You asked, not even needing a verbal response, the look on Daigo's face being more than enough. Before you could say anything, Yugo had butted in.

"Cheaters have no right to Beyblade," Yugo exploded. "That's not what this game is about!"

Daigo gave you a sad, pleading look, and as much as you wanted to wave everything over and say it was all okay, you couldn't.

"You heard him," you bit out, gesturing to the doorway with a jerky nod, your voice breaking slightly as you spoke. "Get out."

"Y/N-"

"You heard me."

"But-"

"No Daigo!" It was your turn to shout. If there was one thing you and your brother had in common, it was your deadly temper when you were provoked. "Get out, now! I can't even look at you!"

"I'm sorry I-"

"If you won't leave then I will," you spat darkly, storming to the door. Before leaving, you threw the helpless looking boy a look that could only be described as downright furious. "It's over Kurogami. This was your choice, now you have to live with it. We're over."

The only thing that you left behind you in the stunned silence was the loud slamming of the door that echoed throughout the small space.

Two weeks later

"Y/N?"

"Yeah?" You grunted with exertion, trying to get the conversation going as you blocked Yugo's attacks with your training sword.

"Are you okay?"

"You're asking me that now?" You asked disbelievingly, barely able to keep up with the samurai in training's speed. "Seriously bro?"

Yugo made a noncommittal noise, and you noticed a slight drop in his guard. Stupidly, you lunged for him, falling into what was, looking back on it, a glaringly obvious trap. Yugo nimbly side stepped your swipe, bringing the length of wood down onto the back of your legs without mercy. You cursed loudly as your legs buckled and you fell gracelessly to the ground. Before you could get back to your feet, you found yourself staring down the end of Yugo's training staff.

"Yeah okay, I yeild." You grumbled, accepting the hand he extended to you, letting him pull you to your feet.

"Tell me how I won?" Yugo asked, and you followed him over to a bench where a pair of towels lay.

"You hit me with that bloody stick," you replied with no small amount of snark, putting down your own stick and wiping the sweat off of your face, that was a result of the intense workout you had just been given. "Hard."

"Exactly," Yugo nodded sagely, and you took a long draw from your water bottle. "If you can hit your opponent more times with your own stick than they can hit you with their's, you too will taste victory."

You chocked on your water, trying not to let it spray everywhere as you laughed at the 'words of wisdom' that had just been blessed upon you.

"So basically hit the bad guy with the stick."

"Correct," Yugo agreed with you, causing you to fall into another round of laughter. In fact, you were so preoccupied, that you didn't realise that his expression had changed into one of deep concern. "Mind telling me what's wrong?"

Abruptly, you sobered. You straightened up, and wiped away a trickle of water that ran down your chin using the back of your hand, giving Yugo a wary glance.

"I don't know what you're talking about."

Your brother arched an eyebrow and gave you a condescending look.

"You can't lie to me Y/N," he pointed out, and you narrowed your eyes at the accuracy of his statement. "You know perfectly well what I'm speaking about."

"I'm fine," you insisted roughly, shoving your things back into your duffel bag. You already knew that Yugo would easily be able to see through that lie, the dark purple circles that were smudged beneath your eyes. "Leave it at that."

"No you're not," Yugo insisted, refusing to leave the matter alone like you wanted. "Talk to me."

"Why wouldn't I be fine?" You wondered alound, shouldering your bag. "He cheated in your battle Yugo, he cheated and he had the nerve to look me in the eye afterwards. How am I meant to forgive that?"

"It was my battle Y/N." Yugo pointed out.

"And you're my brother," you countered. "They mess with one of us they mess with the both of us, remember? We're a package deal, and Daigo knew that when he asked me out. It's not my fault he thought that meant you'd kill him of you hurt me, not that he'd have to deal with a pissed off girlfriend if he messed with you."

"Y/N-"

"You and me against the world Yugo," you reminded him with a pointed glare. "That's been our deal since forever, you don't get to choose when that does and doesn't apply."

Before you could walk off, Yugo stepped forward and wrapped you up in a tight hug.

"I want you to be happy," he mumbled, his voice muffled slightly by your hair.

"I will be."

Part Two Anyone??

I swear to God, it isn't storming but it is raining so damn hard right now that it's crazy, the crossing at my school was flooded and coming up past the curb. I had an umbrella, but the water was over my ankles and my socks, shoes and pants are all soaked.
