Ranjiro is your twin brother by the way, older by fifteen minutes.

A feint tinkling rang out across the gazebo, the light sound effectively cutting through the chatter.

Wakiya Murasaki stood, champagne glass in hand, and a silver spoon in the other. He looked extremely handsome in his dark suit, a blue rose pinned to his lapel.

"Now that I have all of your attention, as the best man, it's my duty to say a few words before we begin."

Silas groaned audibly and buried his head in the crook of your neck. You, along with your guests, laughed at your new husband's reaction to Wakiya's declaration.

"This'll be good," your brother Rantaro, who was also your man of honour, chuckled from his place on the other side of you.

"I remember when these two first met," Wakiya started, a reminiscent look upon his regal features. "It was Sunbat United's first match against BC Sol, and Silas was too distracted by Y/N to win."

"Hey!" Silas scowled. "I was not."

Valt laughed from his seat next to Wakiya, he had grown taller over the years, but still found the need to sit on a cushion to be elevated. "You were so, it was over in a second."

Silas rolled his eyes and grumbled quietly, knowing it to be true despite what he may say to the contrary.

"Then later he joined BC Sol, no suprise there." Wakiya continued devilishly. "And I still remember the day when I found out that these two had finally gotten together."

Silas groaned miserably. You laughed and pressed a kiss to his cheek. Silas threw an arm around your shoulders, and scowled as Wakiya spoke.

"The two of them were holding hands, and I asked which of them finally had asked the other out. My money was on Y/N." Wakiya laughed. "Suprisingly, it was Silas."

You snickered loudly and piped up. "He yelled, 'listen here you little shit! I have feelings for you, it's about time you acknowledged them!'"

Wakiya smirked and raised his glass in a toast toward yourself and your new husband. "My point is, Silas fell for Y/N pretty quick, and for whatever reason she fell for him. To Silas and Y/N!"

"Silas and Y/N!" The room echoed.

As the cheering died, Rantaro leapt to his feet. It was your turn to blush in mortification. You shot a pleading look toward Ranjiro who just shook his head in amusement at your predicament.

"For twenty two years now, Y/N has been my baby sister, and she has never failed to fill each and every day with light." He began, smiling fondly at you and ruffling your hair affectionately. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all. "When I sat down to write this speech, my first thought was that 'I can't believe Y/N is getting married in an hour.' My baby sister has grown up so fast, and already she's getting married. To me, you'll always be the little girl who manages to fall up the stairs and accidentally hops into the passenger side of the wrong car."

"You forgot the time when she fell off the bus, hit her head and then and ran into a pole." Ranjiro added cheekily as everyone laughed and your face flamed in embarrassment.

"That's enough from you," you hissed, jabbing your finger at him menacingly.

Rantaro laughed. "My point is, even though you're getting married and taking a new surname, you'll always be my baby sister and I will always be there for you."

While embarrassing, your big brother's speech was also pretty sweet, and you were caught between hugging him and punching him in the arm.

You settled for a sharp slap to the back of the head.

Ranjiro laughed, and you glared half heartedly at him. "Stop talking unless you want to be next."

That shut him up, and a wicked smirk toyed at the corner of your mouth. Despite the age gap between the three of you, you still held the power against your older brothers.

Silas leaned over and whispered in your ear. "Can we go now?"

"No, we can't." You tutted, smiling at his petulant expression. "They're our guests."

"And it's our wedding," he countered. "We should be able to leave if we want to."

You shook your head fondly. "Even though I want you to myself as well, it would be rude."

Silas pouted, and you giggled at how adorable you found him in that moment. Silently, you were thankful that he loved you enough to let down his walls, and show you the type of person he was beneath that arrogant mask he so often wore.

"One hour," you conceded. "Not a second less, and then we can leave."

"Good," he said firmly, and kissed you briefly. "I haven't seen my wife in two days and I'm sick of it."

A girlish giggle broke past your lips when he called you his wife, something about that word made you so deliriously happy.

"I wouldn't have it any other way, husband."

PS. Wakiya was the Best Man, while Valt was Groom's Man. Although a little unorthodox, Rantaro is the Man of Honour and Ranjiro is a Bride's Man. (Yes, to all you Wakiya x Rantaro shippers, they would have had to dance together 😆, I ship it like you).
