~Shu POV~

The Team Battles, as well as the Nationals, are finally over. It's also been a while since I joined the Supreme Four, but hanging around Lui, is still one of the major downsides. It sucks that him putting down his team mate on National TV was totally predictable, and perfectly in character. I'll be the first one to say it, he lacks mercy. He could've cost me my eye, and I would've lost my depth perception. That would end my career as a blader, and lose me anything else I wanted to do with my life. Plus today, my head hurts, like a lot. So much so, that my scar, the one he gave me, has started searing right along with it. I swear I can barely even see.

Even Valt noticed something, if that's any indication of how off I've been. Wakiya, Daigo, and Honcho probably suspect, but Daigo is the only one who's bold enough to point anything out. He knows it's best to leave it, though, so he does. I'm thankful for that.

Every day, after school, I run three laps around the park after having finished any Bey training I was going to do, then head to the WBBA to meet the rest of the Spin Emperors. Today, I didn't even have that kind of energy. I just took my exhausted self to the WBBA, dropping into a seat to watch Xander battle Lui. I haven't got a clue how I ended up across from Lui, launchers in hand, and it kinda doesn't matter. What does, is what he said to me before the Beys ever hit the Stadium.

"Kurenai, how scared are you? My little slash is glowing the same color as the eye you almost lost. Don't worry. I'll be beating you again today, 3-0. Sunrise, you ref!

" Of course," Zac shines. "Now! Ready! And set!"

"3! 2! 1! Let it... RIP!"

The moment Spryzen hits the Stadium, my ears start ringing.

At first contact, my scar starts screaming, and I'm officially blinded.

Then, since I can't do anything, Lui does.

"Lost Spiral!"

I feel something in my chest pinch tight, and then everything goes dark.

~Lui POV~

"Is he dead?" I ask, finding that I'm a little amused.

"No, of course not, you insensitive-"

"Xander," Zac scolds. "Shu is first priority right now. Lui can be reprimanded later. And so he will."

"You say this like I'm afraid of you, Sparkles. Drop him on a bench. Five minutes and he's asking what even happened. After five minutes, you two can head to the hospital and I can go home. If he hasn't woken up, and that's a pretty big if. If he has, we continue the meeting, business as usual.

" Reasonable..." Zac says. "Oh, alright."

"I'm sitting with him," Xander mutters. "Valt would, so it's the least I could do."

"Yeah, whatever," I scowl. "Sunrise, wanna battle?"

"Not really, my friend just passed out," he mumbles, a little annoyed at me. "But there's nothing else to do, so..."

~Zac POV~

Oh, I do hope Shooting Star is alright.

"Zac," Lui calls. "2 point match. We ref ourselves. Honors system."

"Okay..."

"3! 2! 1! Let it... RIP!"
