"He doesn't care about me at all. He didn't even call me. Forget coming to meet me."

Just then the phone starts ringing.

"Come on. Pick up the call now."

"He's calling now when the day has almost finished. If I'll pick up quickly then he would think that I am desperate to talk to him."

The ring goes off. The phone again starts ringing.

"Ragu, pick up the call or else I will receive it."

Ragini snatches the phone from her mom. The ring goes off.

"What do you want, Ragu? You want to talk to him and now that he's calling you, you are not receiving the call."

"I love him but that doesn't mean that he can take me for granted."

"I'm leaving. This is beyond my understanding."

"Why isn't he calling?"

Ragini picks up the phone and makes a call.

"Why didn't you call me?"

"I had called you so many times but you didn't receive it so...."

"So what? You should have called again. You don't care about me at all."

"Ragini, what are you saying? I thought you must be sleeping so I didn't call again. You are acting weird."

"Okay. So now I'm a weirdo."

"Ragini, I didn't mean to say that. Okay, listen. I'm sorry."

"Where were you all the day? Why didn't you come to meet me?"

"I was at work. I am a bit busy. Badi mushkil se I have taken out time to call you."

"Work. Work. Work. Here I'm injured and all you can think about is work. Didn't you feel the need to apologise to me after yesterday's fight?"

"But it was over. Everything was resolved, right?"

"Okay, then. Fine. Bye. Enjoy your work."

"Bas kar meri maa.... I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Sab humari galti hai."

Ragini smiled a bit.

"Okay. To kab aa rahe hain aap ghar?"

"Actually, hume abhi thodi der mein movie announcement ki party mein jaana hai. Hum din bhar usi ke kaam mein busy the isiliye call nahi kr paye. I won't be able to make it today. But hum kal Shravan ki party mein to jaane hi wale hai na. So I'll pick you up tomorrow from home and we can go together."

"Okay. Bye."

"Rag...."

"Kaam.... Kaam... Kaam.... Baki logon ki life mein ladkiyon ko leke problems hoti hai. But no my case is different. Hamari life mein hamari sautan hain ye KAAM. Siddhant ko humse jyada kaam ki padi hoti hai. When will I become your priority, Siddhant?"

"Maya, you are looking beautiful."

"Thanks."

Maya was looking at the entrance.

"Are you waiting for someone?"

"Actually...."

Suddenly everyone was turning to look towards the entrance and were in awe. Maya noticed everyone's faces.

"Looks like he has come."

Maya turned to look at the entrance. Siddhant spotted her and went to stand near her.

"Maya, you are looking beautiful as usual."

"Thank you. And you are looking handsome as usual."

"Maya, won't you introduce me to him?"

"Siddhant, she's..."

"Anupriya...."

Anupriya extended her hand for Siddhant to kiss. Siddhant felt awkward but nevertheless extended his hand to hold hers.

"Siddhant, it's getting quite late. We should start the event now."

Maya held Siddhant's hand and both went towards the stage.

"Thank you for saving me, Maya."

Maya smiled at him.

I'm saving you for me, Siddhant.

Maya took the mic and addressed the guests.

"Good evening, everyone. The time has come. Today I'm going to announce the most promising movie of this year. MM FILMS presents to you, VAASTE."

Everyone started applauding.

"VAASTE is all about how far can a person go to fulfill the promise made to his love. Let's begin this journey by cake cutting and I wish everyone associated with this movie, all the best."

Maya moved towards the cake.

"But someone's missing."

Siddhant smiled and went to stand near Maya.

"I have yet another important announcement to make. The face of the movie. Yes, the actor of the movie has been finalized. He may arrive anytime soon."

Rajat went near Maya and whispered something.

"I present to you Shravan Malhotra. The face of VAASTE."

"Shravan???"

Everyone started applauding.

Shravan went on the stage and started throwing flying kisses. He then went to stand near Maya.

"Hi, Maya. It's such an overwhelming exp..."

He noticed Siddhant standing besides her and looked on shocked.

"Hey.... What are you doing here?"

"I must be the one asking you this. You didn't tell me anything about this."

"Looks like you both know each other. Shravan, Siddhant is the legal head of our company. And Siddhant, this was meant to be confidential until the official announcement which is today so he must have not told you. So guys, get ready for the cake cutting. This is going to be hell of an exciting journey."

Maya cut the cake while the place was filled with camera flashes and applauses.

"Siddhant, I was bound to not reveal anything about this but you didn't tell me that you have a hot boss. Not fair."

Siddhant looked on.

"Shravan, you have started again. She is your boss, too. So..."

"So I'll enjoy."

Siddhant shaked his head.

"Ye kabhi nahi sudharne wala. Waise tu ye sab kab batane wala tha mujhe?"

"Kal. Isiliye to party rakhi hai maine. It's not just a get together but a celebration party."

Maya went near the singer and grabbed his mic.

"Guys, may I have your attention please? This is my party. I don't want you all to just stand in a corner and talk. Come and dance. We have with us the terrific singer Rajiv Singh. Let's all groove to his music and enjoy the night."

"Siddhant, tu reh khada yahi pe. Main to chala apna charm dikhane. Bye."

Maya came near Siddhant.

"Siddhant, come let's have a dance."

"Sure."

Just then Shravan came and grabbed Maya's hand.

"Hey, beautiful lady. Siddhant doesn't know how to dance. Give me the chance to dance with you."

Maya seemed irritated by this and was about to refuse to Shravan but then she saw Siddhant. She happily held Shravan's hand.

"Okay."

Shravan and Maya started dancing.

Siddhant went to stand near the dance floor.

Maya was sneaking glances at Siddhant and smiling to herself.

Iss zameen se falak ke,
Darmiyaann tumhi ho🎶

Shravan twirled Maya. Due to disbalance she was about to fall and she closed her eyes. But someone held her and as she realized that someone has saved her from falling, she opened her eyes.

"Siddhant...."

Tum hi ho
Tum hi ho, mujh mein haan,
Tum hi ho Tum hi ho🎶
