"Darra, where are we?" She asked, looking around. He heard a whistle, the same tune as the kid in the park whistled. It was coming from the lake. With the wind, gushing through and muffling words, words that seemed to follow the tune of the ghostly whistling as if a song, but he couldn't make out anything. "Lilly, we should get out of here." He said, getting uncomfortable at the feeling he was being watched by unseen eyes from the lake.

Lilly couldn't agree more. She didn't seem like the type to get scared. But in their situation, they lost and the night fell close, how could she not get scared. She began to scan the area, the snow specifically, with Darra following closely behind, seeing as she was drifting far from him, worried he'd be left alone.

She finally got a lead, with a pile of snow and sled tracks on it, though growing fainter for it was snowing. "Quick! We need to follow this route. It might lead us back to the park." She said, moving forward, but was stopped when a hand, softly but firmly gripped her arm. "And if it doesn't lead us back to the park?

What if we follow it and we get buried further into the snow?"
"Then, we shout for help." She said firmly and started moving again. They were on the road for about five minutes when Lilly tripped over a small hump of snow, and Darra, who was absent-minded, drowning in the fear of getting lost, fell on top of her, his lower front on her lower back, his face at her neck, and their legs, intertwined.

"We need to keep moving." He heard her firm voice squirm under him. During that short time, he was able to feel her heartbeat, its acceleration rate through the roof. She was confident, with no trace of fear in her voice, but he knew that deep down, she was just as scared as he was, maybe even more frightened. "Uhh, can you get off me now?" He was so lost in thought that he had forgotten he had fallen on top of her.

"Oh, s-sorry." He said, getting up as quick as he could and backing away a bit, a slight blush covering his cheeks. He suddenly found it hot, yet it was snowing, a thick layer of snow under their shoes. She cleaned herself up, setting herself free from the shiny, snow particles that littered her body, turning around and leading on ahead, with Darra behind her, though not as close as he was to her before they fell.

They were walking for about thirty minutes now, their feet are swollen from walking none stop, sweat dripping from their foreheads even at such freezing temperatures when they heard muffled sounds and lights about thirty meters from where they were now. "Is that..." Darra mumbled, his eyes wide filled with suspense and longing, while Lilly's eyes were filled with joy and excitement.

"It is!" She grabbed Darra's hand and rushed him over to the park. They saw the hill on which this whole adventure started, remembering that they forgot the sled, but they couldn't care less about it. With tears in her eyes, from the stinging pain in her foot, she couldn't stop running, holding Darra's hand as she didn't want to leave him behind.

They soon reached the park and Lilly shouted with the victory that could be heard in her voice from miles away, the tears threatening to fall down her face, yet her eyes were filled with endless happiness. The sun had already set, Darra remembering that he was supposed to be home by now. "We did it!"

Lilly said, small but noticeable, hot steamy tears caressed her cheeks. Noticing she still held his hand, she let go quicker than she intended to and suddenly found the snow, the same snow that got them lost, so interesting. "Lilly, do you like flowers?" He asked, hoping she says yes, as he didn't want his surprise to be of waste. "Yes! I even have a small flower garden on my front porch. I really like daffodils the most.

I have a lot of them in my garden, surrounded with many other flowers like roses, daisies, lavenders, and sunflowers."
"I have something for you." He then reached for one of the deep pockets in his long, gray coat and pulled out a handkerchief, presenting it to her. "...a hanky?"

She asked, slightly confused. He opened it and it revealed a flower, completely blue, with its petals the same color as the leaves, blue, purple, and a hint of pink at the end. It was small, but the most beautiful flower she'd ever seen. She took it from the handkerchief, holding it with at most carefulness, thinking it would shatter at the smallest squeeze or if it fell. "It's beautiful! Where did you find it?"

She asked, looking at him, her eyes shining with curiosity and a hint of wonder. "I found it in the back garden of my house. It's a curious little flower isn't it?"
"Indeed!" She said, laughing at her attempts to sound as Irish and formal as Darra did. "Thank you. I'll keep it in my flower garden." She said, wrapping it back in the handkerchief and keeping it in a safe place. "It's late, I better get going." He said and began to walk forward. "And before I go, I'll be seeing you in school next year." He said, turning around and smiling. Seeing as she felt the same happiness as it showed in her eyes. "See you then, Darra."
"You too, Lilly." They then parted ways, both going opposite directions.

He rushed out of the mansion and was about to exit the gates when a shining, small silhouette caught his eye. He moved closer to it, or he could say it drew him closer, learning it was a flower. It was unusual with its stalk-colored blue instead of green, the petals bright, yet colored blue, purple and the last bits, coated in pink. Its leaves are the same color. He thought of Grace when he picked it from its place, wishing he was right there with her, in Dillow, just to give her this flower. Yet at the same time, he thought of someone else. Wrapping it in a handkerchief and keeping it in one of the pockets in his coat, he decided to give it to the one he hoped he would find at the park.
