Inside, Belos was speaking to Eda.

"So, this thing... is a fake?" Eda asked.

"Just makes it look like you're in the Coven." He said, "I've changed, you don't have to join it officially."

On her arm, Eda now donned a fake coven tattoo to make it seem like she joined the Emperor's Coven and end her official declaration as a criminal.

"And I have the perfect position for you." He said.

"You do?"

"Your sister is going to become Emperor, which means she's going to need a new Coven Leader to replace her."

"I thought you said I don't have to join." Eda said, crossing her arms.

"I know what I said but I don't think Lilith would trust anyone else but you to lead the coven when she takes my place. Even after all this time, she still sees you as the more powerful sibling." Belos said, "Besides... do you know how much that job pays?"

"No, how much?" Eda asked, suddenly interested.

Belos held out a paper and Eda's jaw dropping.

"Damn that's a lot of zeros!"

"And that's only a month's pay."

If Eda knew she could make THIS much working in the Emperor's Coven, making what she earned at her human treasure stand look like CHUMP CHANGE, she would've joined a long time again. Her dad could've made a free agent.

"Well, I think you just gained a new Coven Leader." Eda said.

Belos smiled under his mask, happy that his youngest had finally "joined" the coven system. Even though her coven tattoo was fake.

"You know, I have a Coven Leader retiring soon, and I think you might know their replacement." Belos said.

"Really? What coven is it?" Eda asked.

"The Bard Coven." Belos said, smiling under his mask.

"The Bard Coven? Who do I know tha-" Eda said before pausing, remembering who she knew that joined that coven!

Belos took off the mask and looked at Eda.

"I do wonder if they still like you?" He said.

Eda unpaused, blushing at the thought of them, about a partner she knew and loved long ago before they went their separate ways.

"I-I'm sure they moved on! Raine probably has a new partner by now." Eda said, looking away.

"Nope, they've been focused more on work." Belos said, "Still as single as you."

"Huh?" Eda asked in confusion. "Raine is still single?"

"Indeed. Sad really, they really are a lovely witch. If only they could get over their shyness." Belos said, pushing the issue so Eda would rekindle with her old flame.

"Okay, dad, I get it." Eda said, "You want to try and get Raine and I back together. I hope this doesn't turn out like Grom night again."

"I said to have you back by midnight." Belos said.

"It was five minutes."

"Five minutes AFTER midnight." Belos said firmly.

"Did you ever wonder why I moved out?" Eda asked, "It was because you kept threatening to petrify everyone that would ask me out."

"Not everyone, Raine was the best out and I only threaten to throw them in prison." Belos said to her.

"Which better not happen this time!" Eda said.

Belos held up his hands and gave a small chuckle to his daughter.

"Don't worry, I won't. They're going to be the next coven head and I would hate to make a bad impression on them. Plus, I know how you get when you're mad." Belos said, "I'm still paying the school for the abomination incident."

"You promised you'd stop bringing it up!" Eda shouted to her father.

"Alright, I'll stop." He said, "Anyway, the ceremony to dub the new coven head is in a week, plenty of time for you to gather your thoughts of your ex-partner."

"Why do I feel like you just want more grandchildren?"

"I have no idea what you're taking about. Now why don't you run along and tell the family the good news? Especially that little demon that's practically your son." Belos said to Eda.

"King is not my son! Just because I found him and raised him doesn't mean he's my son." Eda denied.

"Didn't I do the same? If that's the case, how are you and Lilith my daughters?" Belos asked with a smirk.

Eda just walked off, knowing that she doesn't have a comeback for that one.

'She definitely sees King as her son.' Belos thought with a victorious smile, putting his mask back on.

Eda walked down the hall, not paying attention to where she was going, when she bumped into someone.
