Chapter 16- She's Not In A Good Mood

Anastasia POV

The next day was spent normally, then it was Saturday. Justin said he will not be back from work till seven later, so I'll have to tell everyone to come to the house tonight and get food as well.

I wake up and got some laundry and cleaning done. Maybe I should call Freddie to help me set up food for dinner.

I got my phone and call him,

"Hello?"

"Hi Freddie, are you busy today?"

"No, what can I do for you, Anna?"

"To cook dinner for us, our friends are coming over tonight."

"Sure, what time to come over?"

"About 5:00 pm."

"Sure, no problem."

"By May I think I will have to rehire you."

"Sure, your dad was a good employee, you would be too"

"Thanks, I'll see you later."

I hang up and went to take a bath, before heading to Walmart to get groceries.

I text Arlene,

Me: Are you busy? If not meet me at Walmart.

Arlene: Okay, I'll pick up Gabriella as well.

Me: No problem

I put on sweatpants, a shirt, a jacket, and converse. I leave the house and put on the security alarm.

"Hi Anne", Arlene says as I got out of my car.

"Hi girls", I greet them.

"So, what did the doctor said on Thursday?" Arlene questions.

"Something", I respond.

"So why are you at Walmart? I never knew you were the type to buy groceries by walking, inside of online?" Gabriella asks.

"Cause I am having dinner tonight and you all are to come, make sure to tell the guys", I say.

"Okay, nothing to causal, right?" Arlene remarks.

I shake my head, "no normal clothes, like jeans", I retort.

"Let's get some groceries", Gabriella says and dash into the store, Arlene and I laugh as we follow her.

2 hours later

"Does this sweater make me look big?" Gabriella inquires.

"No, you look great, it brings out the color in your eyes", I respond.

 We are currently shopping for sweaters and jackets for the winter.

"I went to the doctor yesterday and got an ultrasound, it's a boy", Gabriella whispers.

Arlene and I let out a joyful noise and other customers strangely watch us.

"Congrats, but does Luke know?" Arlene queries.

"No, he wanted it to be a surprise, but I was curious", she answers with guilt.

"It's okay, we have the right to know, he wouldn't know you know", I say with a smile.

Then add, "I'm hungry, let's go to Friday's and eat."

"I don't like greasy food, it makes me feel upset", Gabriella confesses.

"You can have a salad or we just go to a restaurant" I suggest.

She shakes her head, "no, I'll just go home, Luke suppose to finish cooking by now."

"Do you want me to drop you off?" Arlene asks.

"No thanks, I'll talk to a taxi, see you guys later", Gabriella says and went to pay for her sweater.

"She's not in a good mood, her mother and her got into a heated argument the other day", Arlene whispers.

When we got our lunch, we sit down and begin to eat.

I gasp in surprise,

"What?" Arlene asks.

I point to where Stephanie is and Arlene turns around, her mouth drops in surprise.

Stephanie is wearing a very short skirt and a crop top which more look like a bra.

"Slut alert", Arlene cough.

"I think I lost my appetite", I say, suddenly feeling nausea.

"Let's go", Arlene says, getting up.

I grab my purse, drink, and burger.

"Hi girls", Stephanie says like if we are old friends.

"Don't talk to us like if we are friends", Arlene snaps.

Stephanie laughs, "someone's on their period."

"Let's just go Arlene", I say pulling Arlene as I stroll pass Stephanie.

"And Anne, you can't trust your so call 'husband'! Stephanie shouts.

"Ignore her", Arlene mumbles and I nod.

5:00 pm

"Thanks for coming", I say to Freddie as he walks through the front gate.

"No problem, so what's the dinner meal?" He asks.

"Well baked chicken, lasagna, salad, and rice sounds good with a chocolate cake sounds good", I respond.

"I better begin to cook, then", Freddie says with a chuckle.

"Yeah and I'll make the cake, so you will not have plenty of stress", I say, opening the front door.

"Great and why do you want to rehire me?" He inquires.

"Because I am pregnant!" I exclaim.

"Wow congrats", he says and hugs me.

"Thanks, Justin and I can't wait to share the good news with everyone", I respond.

"Did you call your dad yet?" He asks as he put on the apron.

"Not ye-", I am cut off by the gate bell ringing.

I open the front door and look to the gate, there standing is my dad with a suitcase and a lady about his age.

What's he doing here?

I open the gate and they both walk in.

"What are you doing here dad?", I ask, eyeing the woman.

"To surprise you and tell you some great news", he replies with a smile.

"Does this 'great news', include you marrying this woman?" I  ask.

"Um yes, I am in love with her Anne and she's kind and loving", dad explains.

"Yes your father is such a gentleman", the black hair woman says, smiling at my dad.

"That he is, well you can stay in the guest room", I say.

"Are you cooking Anne?" Dad asks, sniffing the air.

"Freddie actually, tonight all my friends are coming over", I say.

"Great then Chelsea can meet Freddie", dad states and went inside.

7:30 pm

"Hi Anne, it's good to see you", Jessica says as she and Bill walk into the dining room.

"You too", I say and hug her.

Everyone is here, except Kyle who is busy with work and Jordan who is busy with his new girlfriend.

"The cake looks great", Carlos says, licking his lips.

"Thanks to my wife", Justin says, pulling a chair for me to sit down.

I smile and sit down, Greg is sitting to my right, Justin sits on my left.

There are fourteen of us here and the dining table can hold twenty. Nine on the side and nice on the other, then one at the end of each side.

Let me explain.

On the left side are Jacob, Arlene, Luke, Gabriella, Carlos, Austin, and Ian.

On the right are Jessica, Bill, Greg, me, Justin, Dad, and Chelsea.

Got it? Good.

After we all finish eating and going to dessert, Justin stands and says,

"Attention everyone, I have an announcement to make", all eyes are Justin, "my wife here is pregnant", everyone cheers.

Arlene smiles at me and Gabriella just claps.

Greg looks uncomfortable,

"Hi Greg, aren't you going to congratulate me?" I elbow him.

"Yeah congrats, now I need to get going", he says and stands up.

"See you soon", I say and he leaves without a goodbye.

"And another announcement is Chelsea and I are getting marry in January", dad adds and everyone congratulates him.

"Are you okay?" Justin asks me.

"No, I don't like Chelsea, what if she's only using dad to get his money?" I inquire.

"Don't worry, they both look in love, just like us", he responds and kisses me.

"I love you and only you, we will be having a baby soon as well", he adds.

"Yeah", I reply.
