Altaïr's POV

We sit down in the dining hall and begin eating. It's the same food as yesterday, but Desmond seems to enjoy it more.

"I really want to play video games, but you don't even have electricity," Desmond says as he eats another spoonful of stew.

"What's electricty?" Malik asks.

"Oh, that's the stuff that powers the lights and electronics in my time," Desmond says.

Malik nods and all of us continue to eat.

"What do you want to do this evening?" I ask. Desmond shrugs.

"I don't really know. We could do anything."

"How about we just be in each other's company? We can learn about each other more," Malik says. Desmond and I look at each other and nod.

"That sounds nice," I say.

We finish eating and walk to Malik's office, where we sit in some of his chairs.

"Desmond, we look very much alike," I say as we sit. Desmond looks at me for a second and chuckles.

"You are definitely my ancestor."

We talk for a long time. Suddenly, Desmond gets a shocked look on his face.

"What is wrong?" Malik asks in concern.

"I know this feeling..." he mumbles in return.

"What feeling?" I ask.

"I'm leaving. This is the feeling I got in the animus before I ended up here," Desmond says.

Desmond's POV

I can't believe I'm leaving. Am I going home? Am I going somewhere else?

I walk up to Altaïr and Malik and pull them into a group hug.

"I'll see you later, guys," I whisper.

I pull away, and they both look sad.

"We will miss you Desmond. As much as we have missed you the day we left your world," Altaïr says.

I stay silent, and hug them again.

"Don't worry about me. I'll be okay."

With that, I fade from their world. The last thing I see is Altaïr and Malik waving before everything goes black.

I land on the ground and groan. My eyes are closed, but I can hear a very familiar Italian voice above me.

"Desmond?"

A/N: CLIFFY!! You can probably guess who it is though...
