School of Hell
---------------------------------------------------------

Ah, school.  Where we have fun activities and make new friends. Everything is okay, right?

You're wrong.

My school isn't all that 'fun' and 'friendship' and all that worthless junk. My school is like a prison.

Or even worse...

Hell.

My name is Jenny, a 14 year old teenager in Acacia High. I heard that this is the worst high school in the whole wide world.

I wonder why my mom brought me to this school in the first place?

To watch me suffer? To see me in pain?

You may be wondering, "Why would your own mother want to see you suffer?". Well I'll tell you why.

She's not the kind of mom who loves her children. Heck, I am the only child. All I've been to her is a disappointment and a disgrace.

It was just a normal day in Acacia High. I am not that social, so I avoid everyone. Plus, at least 90% of the students are jerks and bullies.

And the teachers? Let's just say that they can't do a thing to stop them.

I let out a sigh and walked into the classroom; 2 Orchid.

"You're late. " Miss Zilla said. I ignored her as per usual.

"Again..." She finished. "Take your seat, Jennifer."

"It's Jenny." I corrected.

"Nobody cares." Isabelle, the class monitor, said. Even the class monitor is a jerk.

I rolled my eyes and sat at my seat. Miss Zilla teaches History, which is the most boring subject ever, at least to me it is.

" Miss Godzilla? Why do people long ago don't wear proper clothing like today? Seriously, don't they have brains? "Angela, the 'glamorous' girl , asked.

I saw Miss Zilla grit her teeth, and mumbled something.

"Why did I chose to work at this hell hole..?"

Guess I'm not the only one who thinks that this school's a living hell.

"Well, there is not that much material, Angela. Plus, there's no technology a long time ago." Miss Zilla answered.

"No technology.... It means that there's NO PHONES!? What a tragedy!"

There she goes.

"I feel sorry for the poor people!" Angela shrieked.

RIIINNNNGGGGG!!!!

"Okay Angela you can continue rambling after recess." Miss Zilla said.

"Okay, Miss Godzilla." Angela said innocently.

I walked outside with my lunchbox in my hands. I looked down. I don't want to make eye contact with anyone since their glares are intimidating.

"Hey, watch it!" I heard a masculine voice shout.

Oh shoot.

It's him.

You may be thinking, "Hoho, Jenny's got a crush!!!". But no, he's not my crush. This isn't some cliché romance stuff, this is real life.

I looked up and locked eyes with the upperclassman. His brown eyes are shooting daggers into my dark blue ones.

"It's you. " He said with a raspy tone in his voice.

"Heck yeah it's me!" I said, trying not to sound scared.

That guy's name is Jim. I heard rumours that he's the toughest guy in school. Yeah, and I mean the whole school.

"Step aside or you will end up in the hospital just like last month with your arm." Jim threatened.

"I've had enough of your threats, Jim!" I shot back.

I mean, he isn't wrong though. I did end up in the hospital last month, and it's not pretty. He almost broke my left arm.

"Oh, Little Jenny is trying to be brave, huh?" Jim teased.

"You have a problem with that?" I asked, my arms crossed.

"Tch...You don't know when to give up, do you?" He shot me a glare. He pinned me against the peach-coloured wall.

As any student would do in that situation, I screamed at the top of my lungs.

There was silence.

"No one will hear you, dummy. No one cares. I don't care." He said and clenched his teeth.

'Come on, Jenny!  Just build up your strength and kick him where the Sun doesn't shine!' I thought.

But I  was really uncomfortable to even move. It was just me and him. He had his evil smirk on his face which made me tremble.

A hand suddenly grabbed Jim's shoulder. The hand yanked him backwards. I watched as a figure with blue clothing and spectacles.

"How dare you mess with me!? I can break every bone in your body in a split second, Nerd! Go to class!" Jim threatened.

The boy had a blank expression.

"Well? Go to your class!" Jim clenched his fists, ready to punch the boy.

"I won't let you harass that lady." The boy said sternly. His voice seems young.

"What makes you think I'm-"

The boy hushed Jim. He looked at me. I swear that I was going to cry tears of joy. No one ever saves me before. Ever. Normally they would just sit and watch.

"Are you okay? " He said in a worried tone.

My eyes sparkled for a bit.

"Y-yes." I stuttered, backing away. He could stab me in the back any minute! I won't let my guard down!

"No, you don't have to be afraid. My name is Eric, and I am a new student here. I just registered a few minutes ago." He said.

Jim crept behind Eric, attempting to do some kind of sneak attack. Eric quickly grabbed his arm and tighten his grip.

Jim winced in pain as Eric released his grip.

"Your uniform.. It's the wrong colour..."I said.

"No, no. You see, I have been sent here so that I can make this school a good one. Honestly my mother didn't let me go to this school in the first place but I convinced her. I was the head prefect in primary school. " Eric explained.

"Prefect?" I tilted my head.

"Wait, you don't have any prefects here?" He asked.

I looked at Jim just in case he want to attack Eric or me again, and he's lying on the floor, holding his left hand which is red from the strong grip. For a nerd, he's strong.

"Well, no.... And the reason I have no idea what prefects are is because I was homeschooled until last year." I explained.

"That explains why this school has terrible reputation." He looked up at me and bit his lip. "No offense. "

"None taken."I sighed.

"Maybe I can talk to the headmaster to consider having prefects here." Eric said.

"Yeah, you should." I nodded.

"But first..." He looked at Jim and grabbed his hand.

"H-Hey! What do you think you're do-"

"Is that a way to say to a freshman?" Eric raised an eyebrow. "You should learn some manners."

He pulled Jim towards a nearby teacher.

"You dar-"

Eric shot a glare. It was so intimidating that even the toughest guy in school can't take it.

"Teacher?" Eric tapped the teacher on the shoulder.

"Hm?" She raised an eyebrow at Eric to show that he got her attention.

"This student was harassing Jenny just now." Eric said calmly.

The teacher's head shot up. She looked at Jim who's struggling to break free out of Eric's grip.

"H-H-Hey! It's not-"

"Save your words for the teacher." Eric interrupted.

"I-It's true... I was really uncomfortable. I don't know what to do... Until Eric came and saved me." I gave a smile at Eric.

"Jim, you have been reported way too much. It's about time to pay a visit to the counselor. " The teacher said.

"N-no! I-I can ex-"

"No excuses." She gave a stern look. "Maybe she will finally expell you."

Jim looked down shamefully.

"Thank you for reporting Jim to me. No one ever stands up against Jim, not even me. I'm Miss Lianna." Miss Lianna said.

"Say, Miss Lianna, have ever considered having prefects around the school?" Eric asked.

"Prefects? I've never thought of that. Maybe it will boost the school's reputation. Better yet, maybe our school will be safe from bullies!" Miss Lianna exclaimed.

"Indeed." I said.

"It's settled . I will have a meeting with the headmaster and the other teachers about this suggestion. But first..." Miss Lianna glanced at Jim. "I have to go take Jim to the counselor's office. " She yanked Jim forward by the collar of his uniform.

"Let's go." And Miss Lianna and Jim go to the counselor's office.

"Oh, it's time for class. Eric, you're new here right? I owe you one so I will guide you to your class." I said.

"That would be helpful. Thank you so much, Jenny." Eric smiled.

We started walking to Eric's class; 1 Blossom.

"Eric, thanks again for saving me just now." I said, breaking the awkward silence.

"There's no need for thanks. I'm just doing the right thing. I don't even know what will happen to you if I just leave you there." He replied.

"I don't want to imagine what he'll do to me." I said.

"It's alright. You're safe now. That is what matters." Eric smiled the brightest smile I've ever seen.

"Th-thanks for your concern."

"Again, no need for thanks." Eric chuckled.

"Oh, there's your class. See you after school?" I asked.

"Y-Yeah! After school!" He said and walked into his class. I heard him say sorry to the teacher. I shook it off and sprint to my class.

"Like seriously, technology is EVERYTHING. How can you live without it!?" I heard the rambling of Angela.

I knocked on the door. "I'm very sorry Miss Zilla! A lot of stuff happened and-"

"You're forgiven. Take your seat."Miss Zilla said and I sat on my seat.

"As I was saying..." Angela sassed. "I couldn't believe how these people survived without boredom. That's all my rambling today."

The class was filled with whispers.

"Excuse me, where is my round of applause!?" Angela sassed.

The class was filled with the sound of applause.

"Aw, thank you all!" Angela said and sat down.

"Attention. Attention please." The headmaster's voice filled the halls.

"All teachers must come to my office after school for a meeting. I repeat, all teachers must come to my office after school for a meeting. Thank you."

"What is it now?" Miss Zilla sighed.

RIIIIINNNNNGGGG!

"Time for the meeting..." Miss Zilla mumbled.

I packed up my things and walked to Eric's class. He was in front of the class door.

"Hey, Eric." I greeted.

"Nice to see you again, Jenny." He replied.

"Where do you live by the way?" I asked.

"In Lavender." He stated.

"Guess we're neighbours, huh? I live there too. "

"What a coincidence." Eric scratched his head.

"Is it okay if I walk home with you?' I asked.

I saw Eric's face as it turned red. Then it turned back into its normal state. Was he blushing?

"Th-that's fine by me." Eric said.

We both talked as we walked down the road.

I waved once Eric reached his house. He waved back.

I walked back home, thinking about stuff that happened at school. From being pinned against the wall, until I guide Eric to his class.

I lay down on my bed once I reached home. Tommorow is another day....

*Le Next Day*

"Jenny! JENNY!!!" I hear a male voice shout my name.

I looked outside the window and saw a familiar nerd waiting for someone.

"Eric?" I rubbed my eyes to make sure I wasn't dreaming.

Yep, he is outside.

"Come on Jenny we're gonna be late!" Eric shouted.

I groaned and got ready. I put my books in my bag and packed some bread and jam for lunch.

I opened the door.

"Did you overslept?" Eric asked as he saw black circles under my eyes.

"Yeah." I yawned. "Let's go." It's weird though. We just met yesterday, and now we are walking to school together like best friends. Wait, best friends? It's been years since I've heard that word.

"Jenny? You okay? You're spacing out." Eric said, concerned.

"It's nothing." I replied. We arrived at school.

"Good morning, Miss Lianna."Eric greeted the brown-haired teacher.

"Good morning Eric." Miss Lianna said with a smile.

"How was the meeting yesterday? And Jim?" I asked.

"The meeting went well. The headmaster agreed on recruiting prefects. As for Jim, he was expelled."Miss Lianna said.

"That's good to hear. At least Jim won't be causing any more trouble to the students of this school." Eric said and I nodded.

We waved at each other and went to our respective classes.

"Attention, everyone. The students that I mentioned in this speech will be the prefects. Their job is to protect the school from trouble." The headmaster said.

"About time."Angela said with her arms crossed.

"Jenny."

"M-Me?" I was confused. I was picked to be a prefect?

"Eric."

So Eric is gonna be a prefect too... That's good to hear.

"Eric shall be the lead prefect and Jenny shall be the assistant. "

"WH-WHAT!?" My mouth was wide open.

"I have to say, good job, Jenny." Isabelle said. She somehow say it nicely. I've never been complimented like that before.

"Yeah, congrats!" Another student exclaimed.

"And these will be the recruits. Sophia. Amelia. Jake. Lucas. Mark. And last but not least, Madeline. I hope you will train your recruits well, Jenny and Eric."

I nodded with determination. "I will do my very best." I said as I clenched my fist.

(A/N: Like no one ever wasssss!!! Sorry sorry, let's move on ;^^)

"That's all, thank you."

RIIINNNNGGGGG!!!!

~Recess~

"Congratulations Jenny!"

"You too, Eric! We're both winners here!" I exclaimed.

"I wonder where the recruits are... I really want to meet them." Eric said.

"Patience, Eric." I said.

"Are you Eric?" A feminine voice asked. Eric turned around to see himself looking at a pink-haired girl.

"Yes, yes I am. And this is my partner, Jenny." He said.

"I'm Sophia! One of the recruits!" Sophia exclaimed.

"And I am Amelia." A purple haired girl walked in. She gave a smile when she looked at me. "Jenny."

"Nice to make your acquaintance, Eric and Jenny. I'm Jake, another one of your recruits." Jake, a green-haired boy, said.

"J-Jake!" A young voice called out. He walked in and stood beside Jake. "I-I'm Lucas. "

"Don't be shy, Lucas. We'll train you all with care." I smiled.

"Guys, don't forget about me!!!" A boy with black hair and brown eyes exclaimed.

"You are Mark, right? Nice to meet you." Eric said.

"How could you all have a little pow-wow without me? I'm Madeline." A tomboyish voice said. Madeline wrapped her arms around Amelia and Sophia, revealing herself to us.

She has dark blue hair and wears a black eyepatch.

"What happened to your eye?" I asked, concerned.

"Long story." She replied.

"Everyone, I hope you can all bear with Jenny and I. We will train you to become great prefects. And we will protect our school from troubles by students and also from other people!" Eric raised his fist into the air.

Everyone did the same and cheered. Our first recruits. We all are going to get along well.

We are like the knights of the school. The protectors of students and teachers alike. The guardians that will do anything to stop trouble caused by people. We are the PREFECTS!

~One week later~

"This is great news! Great news indeed!" Miss Lianna exclaimed.

"What is it Miss Lianna?" Sophia asked.

"Yeah, I want to know." Jake said.

"We all do." I said.

"Our school is finally a cluster one!!!" Miss Lianna exclaimed.

"What's that?" Lucas asked.

"It means that this school has a good reputation." Amelia explained.

"That's great!" Mark exclaimed.

We all hi-fived each other.

"Good work, everyone!" Eric exclaimed.

The room was filled with cheering.

Guess this school of hell...

Has finally become...

A school of heaven.

The end
