Valt's P.O.V.
I faced her, my body flooding with vengeance. She stared back, as cool as a breeze, but I knew that in her mind she was throwing daggers at me.
I felt my wings unfurl from my shoulders. I heard gasps from the beyclub behind me, then Rantaro saying, "You're one of them?!"
I didn't answer. I had to keep my focus. Still staring at Ella, I flew up, and hovered a few feet off the ground.
I formed a ball of ice in my hands, and shot it down at her. She melted it swiftly with a ball of her fire.
I growled under my breath. How was I supposed to beat her when she would just melt all of my attacks? Shu said I'd know what to do, but when would I know?
I made a bigger ice ball, and shot it at Ella, quicker this time before she melted it. It hit her, but didn't seem to do any visible damage.
"Is that all you got?" She yelled.
I stared back at her, looking for a weak spot. She seemed so powerful. Suddenly, I got it. The strength I needed.
I could fly.
Swooping at her at the speed of lightning, I stretched out my arms and grabbed her shoulders, taking her up. I flew to the high ceiling before dropping her, plunging down to her death...
No. She was part cat. Just before she hit the ground, she twisted in a weird way, enabling her feet to land softly on the hard tiles.
I growled again, louder this time. Why was she so strong?
Shu, what do I do? I asked in my head.
Nobody answered. If Shu was listening, he wasn't saying.
I looked at Ella. Her main attacks seemed to be fireballs, so what I I attacked with a ball of water? It would extinguish the fire, and it would go straight to Ella.
I focused very hard on making a ball of water. When it appeared - a strange bubble-like sphere - I shot it.
It hit Ella right in the face, pushing her back.
I cheered in my head.
"So, you found a way to get past my fireballs?" Ella said as she slowly got up. "Well, I'll just have to do this!"
Suddenly, she jumped up to where I was hovering, and grabbed one of my wings, forcing me down. I hit the ground with a crash, and winced as I felt a crack go through my left arm.
Ella was on top of me, holding another fireball.
"This is the end of you, Valt Aoi," she whispered. "Nobody will ever see you again." She threw the flaming ball right into my face.
I dodged just in time, wiggling out of her grasp. Jumping up, I held my broken arm, and tried to fly again. But as much as I tried, I couldn't lift off the ground. Turning to look at my wings, I saw a tear running through the one Ella had grabbed.
"It's even now. You can't fly," taunted Ella.
"That doesn't mean you've won," I replied, launching ball after ball of water.
She did the same, with fire. The balls collided, fizzing into steam.
But one rogue fireball flew towards me, and hit me right in the heart. As I fell to the ground, I knew that this was the end.
But I wasn't going without bringing Ella with me. Shooting one last water ball, it hit her in the same place her fireball hit me.
She fell, like me, into darkness.

Shu was waiting for me when I arrived. He grabbed my hand, and I held his.
"I told you you'd know what to do," Shu said, and smiled.
"But what did I do?"
"You won, Valt. You freed Ella of this world."
"But I died too..."
Shu interrupted me by kissing my softly. "And now we will never be apart," he whispered.
He led me into the light, leaving the darkness behind...

Guys! That's it! I finished this book, exactly one year after I began it!!

And before you ask, yes, there will be a sequel, published later today, one year from when it all started. It'll be called Fighting For Our Desire. I'm not giving anything else away!!!
Since this is the end, I'll do a little Q and A!!!

First of all, Ella is actually my OC, Shiroko. Her name was originally Ella!!

Secondly, I got the idea for this book from my OCs, from the fact that Shiroko has cat ears and stuff!!!

And the last thing, I decided to make it about Shu x Valt because that was the first Beyblade Burst ship that I shipped!! The next book in this series will be about another ship entirely!!!!
