Cold and Flare were playing freeze tag,their favorite game. Possible because of the fact their mothers were both ice yokai,and had the challenge they both liked.

"Tag!" Flare tagged Colderman who wasn't fast enough to avoid her over powers.

Cold was frozen for a while,till his power thaw the ice. "N-nice try,Lionflake. Though my flames c-can't be out out!" He loved to teased her and how it made her laugh.

Flare was about to tagging again making sure he wouldn't be able to thaw out this time,until a lightning strike out stop her in her tracks.

"Hey! Who threw that?!" She looked to see Zappery and Frazzel smirking, Frazzel shocked Cold making him paralyzed.

"Whoops my hand slipped" Zappery chuckled

Flare growled,rushing to Cold side "You ok?" She asked, concern in her eyes

Cold nodded,giving her a weak smile as he slowly got up. He turned to the two brothers.  "W-why you do that?! We did nothing to you...so why?!"

" You two are the kids of famous and popular known yokai,so we want to show you your place"Frazzel answered then laugh "Though I guess you two don't have your parents strength. You two are pathetic and don't have anything special"

Cold gasps,thinking that he was right. He didn't have his mother's powerful ice powers,and his father never fought. Which meant he was truly pathetic.

"Is that all you have to say?" All eyes turned to Flare ,she wasn't fazed by his words. "At least we don't dishonor our parents by buying the others,we may not be as powerful as they but we know when to be the better person"

She and Frazzel stared at each other for what seemed like forever  till he left with Zappery.

"Jerks" She muttered under her breathe.

This was the beginning of their rivalry between the Lighting bros
