As always, Mr. Everby had agreed to the sleepover, and, as always, Jade showed up right after dinner, chattering about something totally random.

"Let's go let's go let's go!" She dragged Violet into the living room. "Trust me, you're going to love Willow! I was going to say we watch Wednesday, but the whole creepy-homicidal-monster-in-the-woods thing doesn't seem very...Violet to me. Besides, there's blood. And violence. And people getting stabbed."

"And Willow...doesn't have all that?" Violet asked. Most things Jade liked to watch included some sort of violence.

"I mean, it does," Jade admitted. "But it's also got Tanthamore!"

Violet sighed. "I don't even want to know what that is, do I?"

"You'll figure it out," Jade assured her. "Watch!"

Violet sighed, settling on the couch beside Jade as her friend switched the TV on. Only a few minutes into the first episode, and she had a pretty good idea of what Tanthamore was. Mostly because of the face Jade was making at the characters.

"Jade. You're doing that thing again," Violet sighed. "The weird face."

"Who're you talking to?" Jade asks. "Me or her?" She pointed to one of the characters in the show who's name, it turned out, was also Jade.

"You. She's not grinning like...like...oh, I don't even know."

"Like her ship is sailing?" Jade asked.

"Jade."

"Violet."

Jade paused the movie and leaped to her feet. "Another Jade, Violet! Don't you think I'm just like her? And she's AWESOME!" Jade slashed at the air with an invisible sword.

"Alright, no offense," Violet said. "But I think you're more like Kit. Are they Tanthamore?"

"Yep," Jade sighed. "Kit Tanthalos and Jade Claymore."

"Alright," Violet said. "Let's keep watching."

A few hours later, about halfway into the last episode, Violet looked over to find Jade asleep and leaning against her. Quietly, she reached over and switched the movie off, before tucking her friend in on the couch and curling up on the floor.

"Goodnight, Jade," Violet whispered. Jade, still asleep, didn't answer.
