                                                               JAKE

I got tired of those girls running after me during lunch, so I had to escape. But just as I reached the cafeteria I bumped into someone. I looked to see who it was but I couldn't recognize the face. Her hair was in front, covering her face but soon she flipped it and "Oh!  Holy fuck! " I shouted in my mind.

I had never desperately wanted to have a girl in bed, her face alone gave me the impression that she was gonna be worth dying for. The beautiful sky blue eyes and the blue hair that was a mess because of me. Oh yeah the mess...

"Erm, I'm sorry bout this, " I said, but she didn't reply.

"Hi? Bonjour?" I tried using different languages.

"Erm.. Excuse me, I think you're lost,"I said again.

"Hey, the name's Jake, Jake Carlous," I said and her eyes widened, the beauty almost blinding. She seemed lost too, looking at me with those intimidating eyes. What's wrong with me?

"Um..um.. I'm Blue, Blue Hathaway. " I couldn't think of what to say for the first time to a girl... A fucking girl. What was wrong with me? I felt so weak infront of a girl? Nope that's not the 'me' I used to know. Her voice was so soft and smooth and...

"Sorry...?" she cut me off my thoughts. "I'm sorry I wasn't looking," she said apologizing.

"Oh,  no no no, I mean I was the one running. Sorry I  didn't see you there." Was I apologizing to her? Oh no.

"Well then,  nice meeting you," she said as she left to clean her herself up. I just gazed as she walked out of the cafeteria and was out of sight. I hoped to see her again, to bump into her if possible.

"Jakie!" I heard my name from a familiar person, Brie. Short for Brianna. So cliché huh?

"You have no idea how long I've been looking for you. I actually thought you ran away," Oh good Lord, how could I escape this again?

"Oh of course not, Brie, I was just getting some lunch," I said giving a fake smile. She put her arms around mine and led us to the counter.

Well, Brie and I weren't dating if that's what you thought. She's just someone I 'used,' to forget my worries. When I had any hard time during football or school work I'd just call her up and she's there. It's not like there's something special in anything we do.

Well I don't see anything special, but she keeps on insisting that we date, and trust me when I say I don't date. I'm a bad boy and I know my game.

"Jakie!" she said again, pouting. Eww. "They ran out of chips, and I really want some."

"Brie, I really can't do anything about it," I said tired of her complains.

"But..but.."

"Brie just take the goddamn food," I said angrily, and I didn't know why. I just got angry when the girls' ran up to me to ask why I shouted and all that. It's really annoying when they do that.

"Get the fuck off me!" I shouted. And as I turned to leave, she was right there. The tray on her hands were shaking. I didn't know I shouted so much, or was she afraid because of the attention I got?  I just didn't know what to do. I just shook my head and walked out of the cafeteria and left the girls', now including Blue, terrified.

                                                              BLUE

I met Lisa in the bathroom when I had to clean up. She followed me back to the cafeteria to gather her lunch also and then, I saw him. He was in the midst of some girls. A lot of them were attractive though, so I thought they were his girlfriends. I wasn't jealous though, maybe a little but... He turned and looked at me. His eyes widened and he looked deeply into my eyes.  Then he shook his head and walked out.

"He was totally looking at you," Lisa said stressing the 'o' as she found a seat for us.

"Shut up, Lisa, don't know what  you're talking about." With that she laughed and we ate our lunch in peace. Lisa had just become my friend, that's right, I made a friend and mom is going to be really mad if she found out. But I promised to tell her everything, and I would do that.

After lunch, few of my classes were with Lisa and for some of them, I was alone. I had to introduce myself in front of everyone during Math class, that's when I saw him again.

"My name is Blue Hathaway, I came all the way from California when my mom got transferred to work here. I'm 17, and my last school was Clifford," I finished and I went to my seat. I looked up a little and I saw him already looking at me and I looked away as fast as I could. Maths was last subject for the day and after that, Lisa and I met at the entrance of the school, and she decided to walk me home. The friendship is becoming something else already.

My house wasn't so far from the school, so it was easy to walk there. Lisa's house wasn't far as well, just a few streets after mine. I wanted her to see mom, but she wasn't around. I knew I had to tell her, sooner or later and I had to be quick with it.

"Bye Blue," she said as she waved.

"Bye Lisa, it was nice meeting you." I answered back.

"Yeah, me too," she said but she turned back and came to me, "Your phone number?" I actually forgot to give it to her before, so I gave her. With that, I entered the house.

I was at home reading Wattpad books when mom came in. "Honey, you home yet?"

"Yeah, mom, I'm in my room."

"Wanna talk about today? Anything happen in school?"

"A lot," I said as I came downstairs to help her with the food stuff she bought.

"Yeah?  I'm listening."

"Well, school wasn't so bad for the first day. I made a friend," I said not looking at her. "Her name is Lisa. Well she's really nic... "

"Blue, what did I tell you about mak.. "

"Well mom, she came to me, I was totally on my own and she.. "

"Oh dear, I really got a good job here, and I'm not losing it Blue."

"And I also got someone I think I'm crushing on, so I can't loose leaving here either," I said and looked at her. She was almost pale. "Mom, l promise, I won't screw this up."

She sighed, "Ok don't blow this up. And who is the  guy?" she asked raising her eye brow and winking at me.

"Moom.." I said giving her a look of 'what do you mean'.

"Sorry Blue, just teasing." With that she laughed and I left her to make dinner.

Moving wasn't actually a bad thing after all, I thought as I laid on my bed. I was ready for anything and I had the urge to make more friends.

Things will surely change.

But is that a good thing or a bad thing?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, i don't know what to say about this chapter. I wrote it when i woke up by 2am. I'm sorry for posting late, please. And this is my first book and I don't know who would want to read it. But I promise it would be worth it at the end.

And I also need comments. What should the secret be?  I really don't know...
