Yumi didn't answer. Her eyes widened. "No... n-no... Lucia! You won't... you won't win!" she screamed and ran towards the throne room, her hair whipping wildly around her face.

Travis followed in an instant, scared for Asgore's fate.

..Killed by a human..

Yumis normally wavy hair was now messy. Stray strands floated around her face, and the gentle waves in her hair were now wild and uncontrolled. She was quivering in fear, but her eyes flared with anger. She had no weapon, but it didn't matter to her.

When they finally got into the room..

Lucia was standing by herself, staring at the barrier.

Asgore's soul was in her hands.. in an instant, she absorbed it..

And in that instant, her black hair grew out to shoulder length, the jewel within the crown on her head turned dark, and the fabric on her dress seemed to darken as well. She slipped on black gloves from within her pocket.

"..Ahahah.. I forgot how great it feels to be ME."

She stretched.

Yumis eyes were wide, and she shook, the tremors pulsing through her stronger. Still, her expression didn't change. Her eyes were fixated on the crown. She only had weapon and one piece of armor; her hands and her agility. :If I can just get that crown..!: Yumi thought, remembering Kiaras reaction to learning that Lucia had the crown.

She stared at her hand before a flame bursted from it.

"Oh, cool. Flames from Asgore's soul. Exactly what I wanted."

She snuffed out the flame.

Lucia chuckled lightly, glancing at Yumi.

"Spread the word. Asgore is DEAD. And the new queen is very unhappy with the state of the underground."

She summoned a wall of flame and backed Yumi out of the room.

Yumis quivers increased. Finally, her burst of determination and energy had faded. She was frozen with fear, shame, anger, and sadness. Tears welled up in her now dull pink eyes.

"Now.. leave. Before I TORCH you."

The flames flared dangerously.

Her sapphire blue eyes flickered softly.

Travis seemed intensely fearful.

"K-Kiara-"

"How many times must I tell you? I. Am. Not. Kiara."

But still, Yumi was frozen. All her emotions were conflicting, keeping her speechless and unmoving, except for the quivers that wracked her body.

"I said to LEAVE!"

Yumi was struck harshly with the flame, causing an intense pain to snap her out of it.

"HOLY FU-"

Travis seemed shocked by seeing this.

She was hit back, the wind knocked from her chest. Her pink shirt was completely burned through on the left sleeve, leaving her with no sleeve and a terrible burn stretching from her left shoulder to her elbow. She struggled to push herself to her feet but failed; the pain of moving her arm was immense, and the deep cuts from the glass on the other hand hurt too much.

Lucia glared softly, but passed by Yumi with no regrets.

Travis kneeled down to Yumi.

"..."

He picked her up gently.

Yumi looked up at him weakly. Her feet ached, her arm burned, and her hand stung. Her shirt was torn in some places, though luckily nothing scratched Yumi herself.

"...I'll take you back to your home if you need me to.."

He murmured in concern.

His dark sienna eyes were dull. He had no hope.

She shook her head. "...no," she said softly. Her own eyes were dull, and she closed her eyes for a moment.

...A healing sensation coursed through her.

"..I'll heal you, at least.."

She let out a soft sigh as her burns faded. The two cuts on her hand diminished until they were gone. The ache in her feet disappeared. "Thank you... but now... I need to get to Lucia," Yumi said softly. :I need to get that crown... or at the very least, inside it again.: Her guilt once again consumed her, but she knew she had to do something.

"Lucia can't be beaten by just you now. We need more help. She.. ..a human with a boss monster soul.. it's dangerous to confront her."

She laughed dryly. "Let's face it. I wouldn't be able to beat her even if she only had a weapon and no powers," she said quietly. "But I still need to try. I know where Kiara is, and I need to get to Lucia to get her back, or at least speak to her again," she added.

"..You know where Kiara is.. where? I can... I-I can probably take you there!"

"I'm not so sure about that," Yumi responded. "She's in some sort of void, the crown."

'I remember making that damn crown.. only imprisons, doesn't kill.. ..Made a pocket world with it. If that crown is destroyed, it's likely that world will die as well.. and.. ..she may die with it if her soul connects to that place."

"We managed to break open a portal... I was too hasty and jumped straight through. I'm guessing something held Kiara back. Whatever the case, I either need to get that crown back, or go back inside it. And unless someone can get me inside the crown safely, I'm going to need to do something drastic," she said. :If I can get her to imprison me in the crown again, then we might have a chance to get Kiara free... but getting that close to Lucia is asking for death, or at least, those are the overwhelming odds... but I need to try.:

"...If Lucia sees you again and finds out you didn't do as she told you to.. She'll kill you.."

"Then I will do as she told me. I have a friend, a water fairy. I'll tell her what Lucia wanted me to."

"...Okay.."

He mumbled.

"We need to get back to Waterfall, then."

There was a sudden yell.

"Oh, Travis?~ Come here!~"

"..Crap.. you go, okay? I'll just.. I'll stay with her."

He gently set Yumi down.

Yumi nodded, slightly deterred. She stood up. "Okay... what's the quickest way back?" she asked quickly.

"Quickest way is through the core, then with the riverperson."

"Thank you," Yumi replied quietly. She stood, unmoving, waiting for Travis to leave so that she knew she'd be able to get out unseen.

"Travis! Come here!"

She yelled from the throne room.

Travis left the room rather fast.

"Coming, my lady!"

Yumi took it slower as she walked, peeking into the throne room to see if Lucia was gone yet.

Lucia was brushing off the throne of any white fur, speaking to Travis.

"Is Yumi gone yet?"

"Yes, my lady."

"Good.."

She quickly moved out of any possible line of sight, but she could still hear what they were saying.

"Why do you wish to have Kiara gone?"

"Don't speak out of line."

"..I-I apologize."

Yumi was silent and unmoving. She wasn't sure what to do; Lucia was in the only room that offered an easy escape.

Lucia left to head back to the barrier room.

Yumi then walked cautiously into the throne room.

Travis signalled for Yumi to run immediately.

Yumi nodded and broke into a sprint. She fled the throne room and the castle.
