Eric I need you to pick the kids up from school.” Jeremy said and Eric seemed joyed to get to pick the kids up. He quickly changed into something that wasn’t a bathrobe, and went to Jeremy’s car(the fam car is the pt cruiser, Eric is banned from driving it because Michael loves it too much lol), and he started it up.

He was whistling as he drove his way to Middleborough Elementary to pick up his basically nephews, happy he’d get to see them earlier than usual. Maybe it was because they’d grown on him since he became human(“But he’s NOT a Squip, he’s a human...well with the knowledge of a super computer” -Michael Mell), or maybe he just really got attached to them because they were Jeremy's kids, either way, he was glad to see them earlier that day.

He pulled up to the school and got out of the car and his eyes widened at what he saw.

“I can’t believe that you two are even allowed here, not to mention your dumb tree cousin.” Some bratty girl said as she pushed Keanu and Marley to the ground. It was concrete, and Eric could see blood, and tears. He walked over there as he was ready to punish this child.

“Excuse me, what do you think you’re doing?” He asked kindly, and the girl looked up at him and rolled her eyes.

“I’m teaching these weirdo nerds a lesson about their parents being the same gender. Now buzz off please.” She said and she went to push the boys down as they were struggling to get up but Eric grabbed her hand and held it tightly. She looked back at him and her eyes were filled with dread at what she saw.

“Y0U HURT TH3S3 K1DS 4ND Y0U 4R3 1N F0R 4 W0RLD 0F HURT.” Eric’s voice sounded demonic, his eyes were bright blue, and his smile was probably the creepiest smile any “human” could pull.

“AHH GET AWAY FROM ME WEIRDO!” She yelled, pushing Eric off and running away. Keanu and Marley looked up and smiled.

“Uncle Squip!!” They said in unison and he got down and hugged them.

“What are you doing here?” Marley asked and Eric shrugged.

“I came to pick you boys up.” He said and they nodded. “Now, let me see the injuries.” He got serious quickly and they nodded again. Keanu’s knee had gotten severely cut, as well as some minor cuts on his arm and one on the side of his forehead. Marley’s injuries weren’t as bad, but he had cuts on his legs and arms as well. “Okay boys, I have a first aid in the car, stay right there.” He said and they watched as he quickly ran to the car, grabbed the first aid, and ran back.

He began wiping the blood off, putting medicine over it, and wrapping it up with gause to cushion it. The boys still couldn’t walk though.

“Okay, I’ll carry you both. I’ll take Marley first since he’s bigger.” Eric picked up the older child and carried him to the car, buckling him in the back seat and kissing his forehead. He headed back and got picked up Keanu, who clung to his black t-shirt tightly. He sat him in the other back seat and kissed his forehead as well.

He got into the car and started it up, looking in the rearview mirror at the kids.

“You too okay?” He asked and they nodded, not saying a word. “Did I...Did I scare you earlier?” He asked them and they didn’t say anything. “I shouldn’t have done that to that girl...but...I couldn’t let her hurt you like that.”

“That was Madison, she’s been a bully to us since we started school, in kindergarten, Mrs. Murphy and Mrs. Beck were able to help us stay away from her but since I’m in fourth and Keanu’s in second, it’s hard to avoid her...she likes to tease us about our parentage, as well as tease Alex for only having a mom, and Oak for having two dads and being named after trees.” Marley explained weakly and Eric nodded in understanding.

“If anybody hurts you two you tell me okay? It’s my job to make sure you’re safe. I might not be related to you but I love you two so much...if anything ever happened to you I honestly wouldn’t know where I’d be...mentally of course.” Eric was starting to cry a bit. The boys nodded and smiled.

“I love you too Uncle Squip.” Marley said quietly.

“I love you as well, Uncle Squip.” Keanu whispered and Eric actually DID start crying. “Oh I-I’m sorry I didn’t mean to make you c-cry.” Keanu quickly began panicking.

“No no, I’m not sad...I’m just...I guess I’m happy I finally get to know what love for somebody else feels like.” Eric explained softly and the boys looked at each other then back at him and nodded. He’d learned a lot about emotions since he showed up into their lives, and they were the reason why.

That and Jeremy actually allowing him to stay in the household(somehow convincing Michael that it was okay lol)
