Behind her smiling expression, lies different kinds of scenarios in her head. What if the geezer doesn't like what she had done? He can be perfectionist. What if she'll be kicked out as a Lance Corporal? No, she worked hard to earn it. Her smile faltered when she saw Admiral Tarung in his serious mode. Oh, in the holy name of Kukuci, take her away from this place! She played on her two hands which was placed at her back.

She greeted,"W-welcome back, Admiral--"

He grunted,"Stop pretending for your respect on me!"

She shivered but then she continued,"I would like to ask for an apology for being disrespectful, Admiral." She bowed. She had lost her words. She had memorized her speech when this would come but nothing from her planned speech had left her mouth.

"Don't ask for my apology when I don't even like you." Those words stung her and she noticed her tears from her right eye suddenly slid down.

"I am very sorry, Admiral. You have misunderstood it. If you really did think that I am disrespecting you, you are wrong. I have a very high respect on you. Please hear me out!" She begged and still she tried to hold back her tears.

Kokoci softened his expression and said to the tiger, "Please, Admiral. We might have been wrong. Let us first hear her out."

Tarung was massaging the bridge of his nose in a stressful manner as he sighed, "I am tired from the meeting and all of the problems that are arising." He looked at Ying, "I have looked around the station and I can see that you have done well, Ying. I'm sorry if I accused you for being disrespectful... But you have to respect Fang as the one who is in charge."

"I'm greatly sorry for that, Admiral. He just annoys me alot." She replied in a truthful tone as she scratched her neck.

Kokoci and Tarung gave a questioning look so she continued, "I- I think I can feel that he's just pushing us the way he wanted to just to impress you. I won't take it back because it's what I thought real."

They laughed at her and she was also the one who had a questioning look.

"Ying, you are all doing your best to impress us. You have different qualities and sometimes you think it now as a competition. This is not a competition... You know Ying, I had known you all when you were kids that have a unique friendship. Even if you were just starting to build your trusts to each other, you have a resolve to protect each one of you. But now that you've grown up, don't ever forget what kind of friendship you have right now. Don't exchange it with competition." Kokoci said in a reassuring way and Tarung smiled at her.

She was more embarrassed right now. She didn't know she had felt rivalry to the next level. She also remembered the small Yaya saying that they should all do their best not just to protect the Earth from harm, but also their friendship too. She looked at them and ran to them. She hugged them both like they are his father. She cried, "Sorry, Commander Kokoci and Admiral Tarung!"

Both patted her back reassuringly and Tarung said, "You should go tell your friends about this."

"Fang!" Kokoci called the boy and he entered the room.

He was surprised to see Ying hugging Kokoci and Tarung while she was crying. "Yes, Commander."

Kokoci patted Ying, "Usher Ying to the others. Ochobot told me you were all waiting for her and you still haven't take your dinner."

Ying finally let go of the hug, "Eh? Really?"

"You are both dismissed. Thank you Ying for cleaning the T. A. P. O. P. S station. You made it squeaky clean as far I have imagined." Tarung acknowledged her.

"But, sir? Won't you come along too? Perhaps your all hungry from your journey." Ying invited them.

"Thank you for the invitation but the Admiral and I shall rest now. You should go." Kokoci declined with a smile.

Ying gave them a big smile, "Thank you very much, Commander Kokoci and Admiral Tarung!"

"You all better be ready to bed, okay? Don't sleep, well, very late. We'll be going now." Tarung said with a smile as Kokoci followed him.

Ying and Fang had walked in the hallway with silence until the yellow clad girl stopped him, "Hey, Fang. I'm sorry for disrespecting you."

He stopped but was silent. Ah, that sounded almost perfect but when he looked back at her and saw her face with dried tears, he felt sorry all of a sudden.

"You know, I am grateful for this day because if this doesn't happen, I won't realize how I feel for you."

Seeing her shy and tired expression, he suddenly felt something hammering inside him.

Ying looked at him, "I'm sorry for having a competence with you without knowing that this could destroy our friendship. I'm glad Kokoci and Tarung are there to say it on my face."

Competition? He smirked, "I never thought that you have felt that way to me, Ying."

The girl smiled to him, "But still it wont change the fact that you are an arrogant Spike-head." She laughed cheerfully.

Fang was out of words. How dare her! "What did you say?"

"Oh please, Spike-head, I'm too hungry to bicker with you." Ying suddenly held his right hand that made him jumped in surprise.

"W-why are you holding my hand! Let go of me!" He stuttered as tried to shake her hand away.

"Quit squirming, Spike-head. The others are waiting for us. Running Speed!" She summoned her powers as they dashed hastily.

They arrived in a blink of an eye as Ying opened the door in a great energy, "Sorry for the wait, guys! Hihi!"

Fang was shocked to see himself with the others in a blink of an eye. But he blushed when he realized that Ying's left hand was still holding on his right hand. He shook it away in great surprise.

Yaya ran to her and hugged her, "Yiiiiing!"

"We're so glad you're here. Now, can we have a plate of cold dinner?" Gopal interrupted their hug and ran to the table.

Ochobot rolled his mechanical eyes as he too welcomed Ying. He followed Boboiboy.

Boboiboy was glad to see Ying with a great smile. "Let's eat now, guys. I know we are all hungry, especially to Ying."

Yaya pulled her hastily on the table and served her. Boboiboy called Fang, who was quite as always to join them.

"You gobble up this plate, Ying. Have this one." Yaya put some soup on her plate but her eyes were still roaming on the table, finding the pitcher as she poured in the juice in Ying's glass. "You must finish that, Ying, okay? You should replenish yourself. I'm sure you are very hungry. Help yourself."

Ying laughed until she ended up crying in front of them. This made her friends look to Fang. He gave them a shrug and he let her continued,"I'm sorry, guys."

"For what, Ying?" Ochobot asked as he flew near her, comforting her.

"I just remembered our promise way back when we were kids. Have you still remember them?"

Gopal replied, "You mean to save the galaxy and protect as well our friendship? Was that it? What's with the connection with that?"

They looked at her and stopped from eating. They realized that she was filthy and tired but her vibrant smile covered it up. "Well, as you see, I got too emotional and tired tonight and do me a favor, okay?" She put her hands in front of them. "Let's promise again tonight."

Yaya still doesn't know what the Admiral said to her but she wanted to support her friend. She lay her hand on Ying's hand and smiled at her. Boboiboy and Ochobot also gave them their hands as a sign of agreement. Gopal paused on his eating and temporarily abandoned his spoon. Fang was the last one to lay his hand.

They all said together happily, "We promise to save the galaxy and also do our best to protect our friendship!"

Ochobot hugged Boboiboy as Yaya hugged Ying. Gopal's eyes landed to Fang and opened his arms to hug him but the arrogant boy declined and continued to eat. The Indian boy gave him a look of distaste and also continued to gobble up his food. He look at Ochobot and Boboiboy with a heartbroken expression. "Boboiboy, I thought I am your bestfriend."

"Huh? Yes, you are. All of you are my best friends. We have managed to be friends in five years. I hope we all can still be best friends until we get old. Hehehehe." Boboiboy said thoughtfully.

Yaya agreed, "Yes, Boboiboy. You can count on me!"

"Me too, Boboiboy. We're all going to be best friends forever!" Ochobot hugged Boboiboy again as he patted him. This made Gopal sulk in the corner. "Ahuhuhu. I felt betrayed."

"How about we'll make today the start for our friendship anniversary?" Ochobot suggested.

"That sounds great!" The girls agreed happily.

"I don't mind tho." Boboiboy also said as he ate again. "What do you say, Fang?" He called the attention of him who was silent.

"I don't know what that means."

"Hey, when you say anniversary, next we should have plenty of balloons and foods. An anniversary is held annually to commemorate that you have reached another year of successful friendship." Gopal explained as Yaya nodded in agreement.

"It is also the time to make biscuits!" She said happily but everyone in the room was struck by lightning when she said biscuits.

Ying laughed nervously, "Yeah. That could be right."

"Does that also mean that I can have Carrot Doughnuts?" Fang asked hopefully.

"Course ya can! Maybe we will find a way on how to make that. Oh! Oh! I want lots and lots of cupcakes, guys!" Ying clapped like a child.

All of them were imagining what their friendship anniversary would be like.

Ochobot cut them with in their fantasies, "Hey, you should now finish your dinner. It's past midnight already. We also should be sleeping right now. Ying is tired, look at her."

"Naaah. I'm good because I have you tonight, guys! Thanks for waiting for me." Ying said as she smiled thankfully to them.

"Don't worry, Ying. That's what friends are for."

"Hey, we're also tired, okay Ochobot?" Gopal reminded him.

Ochobot rolled his eyes and Boboiboy agreed. "Yes, Ochobot is right. We still have to wake up seven in the morning."

The teens agreed and they quickly ate their dinner and washed them.

They went to bed with happily and slept peacefully.
